Kohoutek Dentist

I have been very impressed with this dentist office. You can expect your appointments to start on time. Dr. Lin is gentle, thorough, listens to my feedback, and will answer all of my questions. The staff is also top tier!

2 years later the implants and full upper denture are performing flawlessly! I praise Dr. Lin and staff at Kohoutek Dental every time I smile or taking a bite of food! Thank you Dr. Lin!

Avoid this place. I suspect they look and your insurance and charge for service you don't need. They told me I needed deep cleaning or my teeth going to rot, the service cost $1000+ back then.when I was in my mid 20s, I asked my friends and family people my age if they ever needed deep clean. nobody did. I canceled the appointment. Unethical. Go somewhere else for 2nd or 3rd opinions.

The front desk lady is very nice, friendly and helpful. The dentist is excellent. I feel satisfied to be treated there.

Dr. Lin and the staff are the best. I went to them for dental implants and couldn't be more satisfied with the results. I ended up with a fabulous smile and get to enjoy all my favorite foods. They have state of the art equipment and comfortable accommodations. I will be forever grateful to them for the wonderful job they did!

The lady who answers the phone is very rude. I called for an appointment for a cavity (big hole in tooth). She starts laughing hysterically and says "how you know you have cavity ha ha" with her thick Chinese accent and little understanding of English. Then she tried to change the topic and pretend she wasn't trying to put other people down to feel better about her own sad little life. I state, "I am trying to get my teeth checked for cavities". They should send this lady back to whatever dump she came from.

I've been a patient here for over a year and I've had the following procedures done by this office: Cleanings Root Canal Fillings replaced My last dentist told me that my almost all of my fillings needed to be replaced immediately. That's usually a red flag with a new dentist. When I came here Dr. Lin told me they did, but could wait about a year.

That instantly made me realize he cared more about my teeth than money. His root canal was amazingly quick and relatively painless. All of those fillings that I eventually needed were done quickly, too. His staff is super nice, too, which is great. And the best part? His shots don't hurt. You literally just feel a pinch. Every other dentist I've ever been to were "prick, inject, wait, operate". Dr. Lin takes his time and care and you'll notice.

The doctor is so good and the staff is very welcoming. I felt treated like a patient who needs help. I was treated like a human being but not like a money generating person which I had previously experienced with group dentist doctors firms. I will always recommend Kohoutek dentist

Doc. Lin is my new dentist and I'm glad. We had a lot of work to do and I get uncomfortable in the dentist chair. Doctor Lin was able to calm me down by taking the time to explain the the procedure in advance. That kept me calm and involved and out of fear. Thanks Doctor Lin for helping me through my fear and giving me a wonderful smile.

I've been coming here routinely for about a year now. My roommate found them on our insurance list of in network facilities (Aetna PPo at the time) and came home super excited about her treatment. It had been a long time since I've been to a dentist (since childhood) so I scheduled a routine cleaning. They are open on Saturdays and until 6 on weekdays I believe so they are super accommodating for the working individual. Check-in/registration was quick and they pretty much always start on time. I've never waited more than 15 mins post actual appt time.

I received a cleaning by Dr Lin's hygienist MiMi then did a consult with Dr Lin! He then gave me a deep cleaning. Mimi was fabulous and so was Dr Lin! He explained to me everything I needed to keep a healthy mouth and new a fair amount about insurance. I work with doctors too and they don't know so much lol. I've had several fillings placed by him and have an onlay upcoming.

He spaced all my services out and didn't give anesthesia if it wasn't necessary. He is a very trustworthy doctor which is kind of hard to come by from personal experience. He is very knowledgeable and community oriented! The whole team! They're awesome. My job now gives us Delta Dental and they accept that too. They work with you especially when they know the cost of certain services are expensive and will recommend you post pone services so your insurance can pay. Unsure what the uninsured rates are but it's dental so I'm sure pricey. Will continue to come here as long as I can!

This is totally ridiculous place, they won't tell you anything about extra charge before you walked in. You gonna spend a huge amount on something unknown. The lady here is so unhelpful and ignoring of customer. Stay away from this dental place no matter you have insurance or not!

I hadn't been to the dentist in over 7 years due to my severe dental anxiety and not trusting dentist. Dr. Lin changed my way of thinking. He is very HONEST and sincere. Explains very well so it helped me to understand my dental issue. I am deeply moved by his professional yet gentle touch so it wasn't hurt me. Impressively skillful. Everyone in the office is so nice and warm. The office is super clean. I absolutely love this place and would never go anywhere else. Best dentist I ever met!

It's a trap! I came here for the high rate review but it is obviously not okay. The dentist is nice but his professional profile is not good enough. He wants to conduct root canal for my tooth which is not needed. Okay, if it was a restaurant, I would rate 4 stars but this is a Dental clinic, I only have these 28 teeth for my life. Everyone needs to gain experience and become skillful with more and more practice.

I just don't like these practice on me, especially on my tooth. Probably he will become a good dentist in the future but at this moment, I will vote 1 star to help incoming patients.

Dr Lin and his team are an extraordinary group. They are patient, knowledgeable, and gentle. I am the biggest baby with lots of work that need a to be done Dr. Lin takes his time and explains every procedure. Love ya Dr. LIN your awesome!

I can't believe I've waited so long to post a review. Kohoutek Dental is stellar! I've been with this practice since the employees were at another location and I continue to bring myself, friends and family here. I don't think I've ever experienced such professional detail oriented and honest dentistry. Every employee with Dr Lin is the best, kindest and most supportive.

They are great with children and have made going to the dentist a fulfilling experience. When I had some serious issues with a tooth, Dr Lin put his own time and energy into making sure I got the best treatment and staff available for my needs. I just hope they don't get too busy or booked up because now we like getting teeth cleanings etc!

I like everyone else fear the dentist. I just started seeing Dr. Lim and the experience has been wonderful. If you are looking for a dentist that is personable and makes you feel at home come here. I had 4 teeth extracted 7 shots but it wasn't painful or uncomfortable. I am actually looking forward to repairing the rest of my teeth. Dr. Lim is definitely a find.

I've stayed with this practice since Dr. Guo and I'm even happier with Dr. Lin. Since he offers a wider variety of services, I took advantage of his ability to perform pinhole gum surgery. The procedure was difficult and the recovery was long, but Dr. Lin and his staff took great care of me throughout the procedure and kept a close eye on my during recovery. I now have a normal gumline and look forward to being able to get some teeth whitening!

Clean and well organized dentist. Dr Lin is great. He is patient and nice. Makes my visit feel much better since I am so scare to go to dentist. Lots of parking spots. Call ahead to make appointment before you go.

This was my first time using this dental office today. I ussualy go all the way down to San Jose. So today I got on yelp and called a few places to get a veneer re cemented back on in order to save some time of not dealing with the 1 hour traffic. I called a few different offices but I had the best feeling about this one due to the staff being so freindly when I had called.

I went and was treated like VIP once I was there. I went in and was out quicker than a trip to the grocery store. The Dr. was extremely freindly and made me feel welcomed and comfortable. I will def be back here in the future.

I've had awful experience with dentists before due to painful cleaning sessions with my old dentist and I must say that the dentists here in Kohoutek are different! I've had a few sessions with Mimi already and she's very sweet and gentle. She makes sure that she knows the patient well in order to give proper advice. She has many years of experience making her suitable for the job. All my siblings go here because of the exceptional service. Recommended.

I have always had bad anxiety when going to dentist and I can't say enough about Dr. Lin and his staff. The always made me feel comfortable and were quick to respond on any questions I had. Do yourself a favor and visit Kohoutek Dental you will not be disappointed!

I've been going to this dentist for practically my whole life. As much as I dread going to the dentist, I always come out a satisfied customer. I go in every 6 months for cleaning. Whoever works on my teeth always checks up on me asking, "Are you okay?" They always make sure to suck out the saliva so I don't choke, LOL. Lisa is my favorite person there.

She speaks to me in Mandarin and knows my family. I was surprised that she even remembered that I wanted to be a teacher in a few years. Dr. Guo is a really wonderful dentist, but I haven't seen her in awhile. At the end of your visit, they give you a small goodie bag filled with a toothbrush, floss, and mouthwash. When I get cavities, fillings are painless.

When my wisdom teeth started growing out, they made sure to recommend me to another place to get it pulled out. The people who work there are very knowledgeable and are always giving me helpful tips to keep my teeth clean and healthy. They're really flexible with postpoining my appointments, because my schedule is always changing. Definitely check them out if you're looking for a great, reliable dentist!

I had a limited amount of time to get my procedure done because although I am from the Bay Area, I have been a missionary in Africa for the last 15+ years. So, when I return to get dental work done I am always in a rush and need lots of work done. Add to that, our organization uses Careington and I have to get a pretreatment estimate (PTE) for everything. Therefore, I am a very demanding client, not by choice but dictated by circumstance.

With that said, I had to get 4 crowns done in a short amount of time (long story short, I had fractures in my teeth). The receptionist, Iman and another lady were very accommodating and helpful. Lisa would send me the PTE and x-rays via email, which was very helpful because I could forward it to our organization in NY for approval. She was very obliging in regards to any of my requests. Dr. Guo, the other dentist, the periodontist and the dental assistant were professional and very competent.

This will be my go to dentist when I come home for dental work. When my husband or I did not need certain procedures done that our organization had approved to pay for, they would tell us. I thought that was impressive, a dentist that does not pad the bill with unnecessary work.wonderful! If you are tired of chains store type dentistry, and want personal service with a dentist that is up to date in her practice but down to earth with her people skills.this is the place.

Since we moved to the area, the hubby and I have driven past this dental office for about a year now. We had been faithful to our dentist in San Jose, until he sold his practice. So here we were 6 months later, like abandoned orphans, needing a teeth cleaning. So naturally, I turned to yelp, looking for a worthy dentist and hoping they were covered by my insurance.

And yes they were! And with glowing reviews! And the icing on the cake is that they are a one stop shop. They have an Orthodontist and Endodontist on site! What at great deal! And given my history of root canals, this definitely gave them brownie points in my book. Dr. Guo has a very gentle and thorough hand and I came out with my teeth feeling wonderful!

She gave me the option to email my x-rays! How cool is that! Before she dove straight into my cleaning, we chit chatted for a while and got to know some basic info about each other, which I really appreciated. It really made me feel at ease and welcome. The greatest part of this dental office, is that it's only a hop, skip, and a jump away from our house! I definitely plan on riding my bike there!

After going to a dentist in downtown Hayward a year ago who had dollar signs in her eyes, I decided to give Kohoutek Dental a try (apparently Dr. Guo moved her practice from Alvarado-Niles to Kohoutek and changed the name of her practice to match the street name). I really like Dr. Guo and her staff. She is very thorough, and she and her staff are very friendly (a must in my book). Dr. Guo did a great job at fixing 3 older fillings that were no doubt done by the inferior dentists at Smile Care (I will never, ever consider going to a dental chain again).

It took her a little bit longer to complete the fillings, but she was being very thorough, which was fine by me if it keeps me out of the dental chair in the future. During the procedure, she and her staff showed concern for their patient by periodically asking me if I was doing okay. I am very satisfied with Dr. Guo's dental work and with my overall experience at Kohoutek Dental. I would recommend them to anyone.

Hmmm, i have been going to Dr. Guo for about 4 years. She has really built up her practice over the years from when they used to be located on Alvarado Niles Road by the Chamber of Commerce. Now she has regular specialists on rotation so it's a pretty much a one stop shop now. Their new office (on Kohoutek) is pretty high tech with digitalized photos so no more biting those stupid things that make you gag when you need to take an x-ray, definitely a plus.

Her staff is relatively professional. The only thing i didn't like about her staff was that one of her assistants, "L" (and it seems i always get her to assist me.) is a horrible flosser and sort of rough & clumsy that you have to tell her be more careful. She's soft spoken, just not very good at flossing, otherwise, she's ok. Before she had the specialists i went to her referrals and they were professional and i felt comfortable with them. All in all i would recommend Dr. Guo b/c she is very professional and a very competent dentist.
