I was referred by a friend who has gone to Dr Kellum for 20+ years. She spoke so highly of him and his whole staff, I finally went to him and agree, this bunch is wonderful! No wasted time, very personable, very efficient, reasonable pricing.and a tooth I was told years ago that I would lose. Dr Kellum just saved it! Need I say more?

Really liked COVID-19 protocol process considering the serious nature and infection rate of this virus. Office staff were very friendly and courteous on arrival. Dr Kellum makes sure you understand treatment he plans on accomplishing on your visit. Very Professionally run Dentist office and I would recommend anyone to check with them if you are looking for a Dentist.

As usual Dr Kellum was able to see my husband quickly, and was able once again to relieve his discomfort. We have been his patients since 1990. When we returned to this area after a year of absence, our son Bryan recommended him to us. We won't change. It feels like home week when we see him and his friendly staff.

Front staff is very friendly and helpful. I have never had to wait for my appointment. The second I sign in they call me back, and this happens on a consistent basis. Dr Kellum has wonderful bedside manner, is quick, and gets the job done right the first time. The first time I went to this dentist was when I had a horrible tooth ache and hey fit me in that day. I stayed With them and I'm glad I did.

Finally, an honest dentist! I have seen him twice now and feel totally comfortable referring patients to him. My first visit to him was because I thought I had broken a tooth. Dr. Kellum found it was not broken. He could have easily told me it was broken and then charge me to fix it, but he did not! Then I returned a couple of days later to have my teeth X-rayed and cleaned, and again, he found no cavities.
His dental hygienist, Kami, is so gentle, no pain or discomfort at all (well, maybe a smidge but nothing to complain about, lol). This is even more impressive since I told both of them the truth: I hadn't been to a dentist in at least ten years. I feel like the luckiest person on earth! Highly recommend!

SITUATION: Just went today and was told that they couldn't do my cleaning, after taking x-rays, because I hadn't undergone a prophylaxis with Amoxicillin one hour prior to my appointment. As a new patient today, when I made the appointment they didn't advise me of this and I was sent on my way without the teeth cleaning I made the appointment for.
I was told by my Orthopedic MD that they recommend it but it was my choice to have this prophylaxis. FACT: The ADA does NOT recommend prophylaxis with antibiotics for people with prosthetic joint replacements as recently as an article published in February 2017. Reference online journal article: http://jada.ada.org/article/S0002-8177(16)30965-5/abstract Apparently they felt no need to be sure patients are advised before an appointment and also feel that a patient has no rights and it's entirely there call. WRONG. I'll be looking for another Dentist in Destin Florida.
I expect to be treated like an intelligent human being who has choices about when and if I take antibiotics. Dr. Kellum didn't discuss with me or make any effort to accommodate my wishes despite his professional association recommending against it and aligning with my own thoughts and decision. What kind of Dr. doesn't at least discuss the in's and out's of a particular medical decision or philosophy.
