We are a single doctor office in San Jose, and Dr. Jow will personally be here to see you at your visits with us. You will also be treated with friendly, experienced, and personable staff in a fun and caring atmosphere. Our modern and up-to-date office utilizes computerized digital x-ray equipment for best imaging and lowest dose. Dr. Jow began his practice in San Francisco in 1986.In addition to treating children and adolescents, Dr. Jow acquired extensive experience in multi-disciplinary adult orthodontic treatment working in concert with his brother, who is a prosthodontist, and other dental specialists.

Dr. Jow often has a topic of the day or current event that we like to discuss and invite our patients to express their thoughts and experiences.
Jow and his staff have been treating my daughter for one year now. She had a tricky situation since two of her permanent teeth never developed. Dr. Jow went over our options and took time to answer our questions. We are seeing the gaps close quickly and are very pleased with the progression of treatment.
My staff and I want to welcome you to our orthodontic practice in San Jose. This information will help you become familiar with the procedures that are typical of orthodontic treatment in our office. You can expect this first appointment to take 45 minutes or more. An orientation tour of our office to learn about our procedures and meet staff members who will be assisting you during treatment.
All orthodontic policies have a one-time (or lifetime) maximum benefit that they will pay per patient. This amount varies from $500.00 to $2500.00 and depends solely on what your employer wishes to offer its employees. Some orthodontic coverage is for your children up to age 18-26 only and not a benefit for the adult or spouse policy holder.

I took my 12 year old daughter for several consults with Dr. Jow over the course of a couple of years. He was recommended by our dentist. We found Dr. Jow and his staff to be professional, kind and knowledgeble. My daughter loved their office. We ultimately decided to look for an orthodontist close to our home when we realized how often we would have to go in for adjustments. If we lived a bit closer, we would have definitely signed on for a full treatment with Dr. Jow.

Our children's smiles look fabulous, thanks to Dr. Jow's precision and attention to detail. Our oldest two are out of braces now, and the youngest is just starting his orthodontic journey with Dr. Jow. Back when we needed to choose an orthodontist for our first child, it was a process to interview and speak with several doctors to get their opinions and price estimates.
I was surprised to hear the varied suggestions from different orthodontists when it came to treating my daughter's teeth. I figured everyone would have a similar protocol, but each one gave a slightly different recommendation with a different price tag. After visiting some orthodontist offices, I was starting to wonder if my payments would be going toward funding the expensive decor and cappuccino-makers in the waiting room!
We eventually selected Dr. Jow for our orthodontic needs because his suggestions for straightening my daughter's teeth seemed reasonable and would not require extra procedures that seemed unnecessary; his honesty came through in his personal demeanor; and the cost involved was fair. Now that we've been patients of Dr. Jow for a few years, we are so happy with our decision!
Over the course of the years, we have become very familiar with Dr. Jow and the office staff. The kids love checking themselves in at the computer and participating in the monthly "guessing game" on the counter. I've always appreciated the excellent communication the office has with our pediatric dentist Dr. Simon Morris, regarding x-rays and updates.
I have not had to make any phone calls back and forth from dentist to orthodontist! They handle it all. Rescheduling appointments has never been difficult, and everyone there has a smile on their face! It's a very pleasant office to visit. More importantly, the results from Dr. Jow's work are wonderful! Without hesitation we would highly recommend Dr. Jow!

Our dentist, Dr. Jeff Ching in Cupertino, referred us to Dr. Rick Jow, and we're so glad he did; both of my sons needed considerable orthodontic corrections, and the results are nothing short of spectacular compared with how they went in. Didn't know teeth are able to change that much. We think Dr Jow is not only very capable, he's very friendly, funny and gentle, just like the rest of the office staff, and his assistant Cathy.
It's very important the kids trust and like their orthodontist and his team, since it is a process of many appointments, over many years. My kids adore Dr. Jow, and don't mind going to their appointments at all. We had several of the usual broken/loose wire mishaps, and could come in to have it repaired almost immediately. We highly recommend him, you'll feel lucky to have found him, just like we do.

Very Best, truly a gem. Not only in results, but also in experience. Both my sons were referred to Dr. Jow by my dentist, Dr Jeff Ching. I had hopes about the changes that could be achieved, I'm very pleased he exceeded all of them! That's what an enthusiastic, capable orthodontist can do. Additionally, I found him, his assistant and his office staff (Paula and Maureen) very friendly, gentle, efficient, supportive and accommodating.
That turned out to be a huge plus, since there's so many appointments over the years, some of which are going to be late, rescheduled, or extra appointments that need to be squeezed in. My sons trust and adore Dr. Jow and his assistant Kathy, and never mind going to all of their appointments. What's very telling is that they always go first through the door to sign in.ahead of me. Now that we've seen what amazing things can be done, after my kids are done, my husband and I will get our overbites and crowded teeth treated as well.

Dr. Jow and his staff are amazing, lovely and wonderful people. I feel so lucky to have such a great time working on my 8 year old daughter. It can't get any better. We are a few months into our treatment and the results are already great. You shouldn't hesitate in going to meet this team. Dr. Jow is the best orthodontist!

Best Orthodontist, Honest Person, and Fun Friend to be with. Two of my kids are going through Dr. Jow's ortho treatment for a few years now. When I visited Dr. Jow for the initial consultation, he explained all the options with pros and cons without any pressure of selling. Dr. Jow is very experienced and knowledgeable in the field yet humble, honest and down to earth person.
All of my friends who were referred to Dr. Jow loved him and his treatments as well. The office staffs are extremely nice. My kids enjoy to visit his office and chat with Dr. Jow and Kathy. Our family has had a great experience with Dr. Jow. My oldest just got his braces off, my second is half way through, and the third will get braces within 6 months. Dr. Jow's office is the best run medical office I have ever experienced. The kids rarely wait, and are done quickly. If one of the kids gets a new device implementation (for example, an expander), Dr. Jow always calls and checks for soreness or other issues. The office staff are really great about keeping on top of appointments.

First off, if we could put 10 STARS we would, but 5 is the max : Dr. Jow is a perfectionist and a superior orthodontist. We were amazed at the technology he utilizes to make sure the bite and the facial structure are all precise. He also has a no problem, supportive staff which is extremely important as we have recommended him to many of our friends.
We have dual coverage and were able to get our daughter's braces on for free elsewhere, but chose not to once we had a consult with Dr. Jow. We are extremely happy with her results and urge you to consult before you go anywhere else. Steve and Karrie Miramontes

Dr Jow and his staff are GREAT! Such a nice office, that does amazing quality work! His final results always come out looking great! His patients always have perfect smiles after their treatment with him! Paula and Maureen are so sweet and always make it quick and easy to make an appointment as well as take care of payments. Kathy is also a sweetheart who is very gentle when it comes to the clinical part of the appointment. Highly recommend Dr Jow and his staff! :

Both my boys just completed their orthodontics with Dr. Jow. We will miss him and his staff terribly. They have become like family to us thru all the years and visits: They squeezed us in for emergency appointments when one son knocked his wire out. They rushed a set of retainers for the older one going off to college. All in all, our experience has been nothing but great. My younger son said he'd like to stop by and say hello to them as soon as he gets his drivers license :-

Dr. Jow and his Staff are terrific. Both my son and daughter have received orthodontia care from them. I am very pleased with the work that Dr. Jow has done. He does excellent work. He always takes the time to discuss the treatments with me and with my children. I never feel like I am asking him a stupid question. From the moment you walk into the office you are greeted with friendly hellos.
The Staff is wonderful. They are very helpful. Not just in person but also on the phone. The appointments they schedule are always on time. Everyone there makes you feel very comfortable. I highly recommend Dr. Jow and his Staff for orthodontic care.

We love Dr. Jow, his staff and his office. My children and I are patients and every time we go to his office, it's a great experience. Dr. Jow takes the time to explain our progress in a way that keeps us motivated and on schedule. His knowledge and experience allows me to trust his judgement, but if I have questions about our treatment, he is always happy to answer them.

There is a place for parents to sit during treatment and adjustments, so Dr. Jow can communicate as he's working. And since he is the only Dr. there, you will always be seen by him. We live about 20 minutes from Dr. Jow's office, but a trip once every 6 weeks is worth the drive. We will be moving and will then be about 45 minutes away, but we will continue to go to Dr. Jow because he, his staff and his office are worth it to us.

Upon arrival, my daughter checks in on a computer. There is always a fun contest for the kids such as guessing how many jelly beans are in the jar. Every appointment has been on time so there is no waiting. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. My daughter says that Dr. Jow and his assistant have a wonderful, down-to-earth bedside manner and she feels comfortable when she goes in.

Dr. Jow and his staff have been wonderful. My son and I both are patients. The set up in the exam room is somewhat like a barber shop, in that all the chairs are in a row. There is much good energy and conversation among the patients and staff during the visits. Dr. Jow is a great guy. He is a perfectionist when it comes to getting your teeth just right. I am very happy with the results.
