Carol answers the phone and will cheerfully help you schedule an appointment, answer your insurance questions, and take care of passing your messages along to other staff. We have been serving the Salina area since 1982. We are noted for our caring friendly manner. Listening to patients and understanding their concerns and fears is a primary focus. Once we truly understand a patient and have had the opportunity to do a through examination and diagnosis we work with our patients to accomplish their goals.
Custom professionally made bleaching trays are the absolute best in achieving the lightest shade possible. We have a special gel to cover the teeth after or during bleaching sessions that helps reduce the sensitivity dramatically. The sensitivity gel is included at no charge with both the custom bleaching trays and the one-hour bleach in office bleaching session.
Gum recession refers to the loss of gum tissue along the gumline. This can occur as a result of periodontal disease (gingivitis, periodontitis, advanced periodontitis), the natural aging process, or abrasive habits when it comes to brushing the teeth. When gum recession occurs, the root structure of the tooth becomes exposed.

I have nothing but great things to say about this Dentist. I had 11 teeth pulled and dentures placed in one setting. I had told him that I was scared of the dentist and needed all the sedation I could get. I asked about 1001 questions leading up to the appointment and at the appointment. Carol the receptionist answered all of them as well as the dental assistant and the Dentist.
They are all excellent. After the proceedure I had a few problems with denture sores (this is normal) and the Dentist got me in right away and fixed the problem. The proceedure itself was flawless. I actually think I fell asleep with the sedation and woke up to having new teeth. I could not be happier. Also the price of this was excellent. The cheapest rates I have found by far.( I saved 400 going with this dentist).
I would highly recommend. Very professional, compassionate, and they listened to my concerns with out making me feel stupid for my apprehensions. They cared about me and tevery visit I have I feel like I am the only one there. I know others are as well but the service is very personable. Thank you for making me feel better and giving me back some confidence. If you need a great dentist with an excellent team this is the option.

Everyone here is super friendly and professional. The Doctor does a great job of explaining everything. He is also very upfront about price and working with your insurance to make it as cheap as possible for you, and involves you in the decision of when to do different things, which I really appreciate. My kids are the 4th generation of my family to go here, if that says anything, and he does great with my littler one too.

Even tho I do not particularly like to go to the dentist, he makes it not so bad. He is kind and gentle and makes it bearable. Only place I would go. Had visit today. Again don't like to go to the Dentist but Dr John Marietta is kind and gentle. Did not mind the cleaning today, like the new Hygienist. Both are good. Only place I would go. Thumbs up

I truly believe that Dr. Marietta is the best dentist in Salina. I have had a variety of procedures and regular cleanings in the office over the years, and I honestly believe my teeth look the best they have in a long time. I recently split a tooth, which required an extraction. The implant Dr. Marietta suggested was a easier than having a root canal, and the results are amazing.
It functions as any other real tooth, and you certainly can't pick it out for appearance. I know it will last longer than any bridge I might have had otherwise. Dr. also recently replaced a crown, which fit so perfectly that it didn't need any adjustment whatsoever. I've never been a patient for whom pain is much of an issue, but I have to say that the anesthesia works as long as necessary, but always clears quickly enough that I feel comfortable going back to work, and eating shortly after. I think if you give the office a try you will be pleased for the gentleness of the procedures, the cost, and the expertise of the restorations. Wonderful work!
