I like the environment friendly staff however I will not be returning after only one visit. After changing my cleaning app 3 times I finally got in and it was a pleasant experience. I got two appointments for deep cleaning months in advanced because it was booked up as my appointment came near I get a confirmation text to confirm app which I did than two days later get a call saying the the dentist will not be in that day and will be on vacation and will have to reschedule literally 4 days before my appointment after I had already taken work off.

This is not the kind of business that I want to patronize I will find another dentist who is better with scheduling. Maybe if your retired and have no life and can swing there crazy appointment cancellations and rescheduling this will be the place for you.

Always a great experience! Everyone who works here is awesome! I would definitely recommend Dr. Calcagno and his team.

Dr. Calcagno is an excellent dentist. He and his staff are unmatched in their ability to provide quality care in a welcoming and clean environment. My family and I have been coming to Dr. Calcagno for as long as I can remember and now that I have a family of my own I know I can put my trust in his practice for my children. I have been visiting Dr. Calcagno for 3 years. This office is world class! I From the doctors, to the front office they will make you feel special. Louise is also an incredible human being. I hope you can make it in.

They affordably fixed my teeth because I stopped wearing my retainer. I've also been going here for like 17 years and it's as good as it gets. The building and staff are too good for words!

Been going here for like 17 years or so and it's the best dental office I've been to in Santa Cruz by far. It's even better now due to the great remodel and the staff is better than ever! If you live in the Santa Cruz area go here!

My wife and I both recently resumed post-lock down "semi-annual" cleanings and agreed that not only is everyone nice to us, but that the staff are nice to each other. It cannot be contrived or forced, or some edict, as we would have seen it by now. Both the hygienists and Dr. Calcagno just will not let you go unless all your questions or concerns are answered. So happy to be part to this family. See you in February (unless my next potential root canal needs to be diagnosed - sorry, didn't mean to end on a down note, Hahaha!)

Wonderful experience at Dr Calcagno's office yesterday! The staff nailed the Covid safety protocols.every precaution you can think of was being followed and the office is new and spotless. The staff was efficient and very professional. Dr Calcagno did an inlay and implant crown for me. He is gentle and caring and meticulous.everything you want in a dentist. I am the wife a retired dentist so I am pretty picky. I can recommend Dr Calgagno without reservation!

I have been going to see Dr. Calcagno since I moved here several years ago. You won't find a better dentist and staff, who care more about you and your teeth, no matter where you look. Everyone is so friendly, the office is immaculate, and they really know what they're doing. Dr. Calcagno has proven to be trustworthy in his recommendations, and on a couple of occasions admitted that he'd need to refer me elsewhere if he thought I needed more than he could do. Ashley, the hygienist I work with, is incredibly thorough and informative. I always leave feeling like I have new teeth. So happy I found their office!

I am new to Santa Cruz, and found Dr. Calcagno's office through Yelp. I'm happy to report that the stellar reviews are all true. As someone who has received a lot of dental work in the past, I am always a little anxious about going to the dentist. However, the entire staff was kind, inviting, and personable. Ashley, the hygienist who cleaned my teeth, did an amazing job (which is saying a lot, because she had her work cut out for her). Dr. Calcagno clearly knows what he's doing and was kind enough to take the time to explain my treatment options, and give me ample opportunity to ask questions. I know I am in good hands, and that feels wonderful.

The office is very clean, modern, comfortable, & peaceful! I noticed the cleanliness of the office the minute I stepped in the room. Also everyone was very nice & welcoming from Taylor at the front desk to Lindsay with the dental cleaning & then the doctor! Its great to be greeted with friendly faces. Exceptional care in a comfortable and clean environment! The office is brand new and amazingly clean and organized. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating -- from the front desk to the hygienist and dentist. They took great care of me, my husband and my 3.5 yr old son on his first dental visit. I've been using these guys for a year and really appreciate how wonderful they are. Last year I got off my parent's dental insurance and was really confused about what dental insurance to get, who should be my dentist here (recently moved) ect. I called these guys and they helped me through the process and asked all the right questions for insurance information.

This year, I changed insurance plans to make sure I could stick with these guys. I rarely have to wait, I can schedule my cleaning in the afternoon after work and find that the experience is always really pleasant. Thank you for making this a great experience!

After canceling all future appointments and letting the front desk staff know on Friday that I will be going elsewhere. on Saturday I receive another email conformation for an appointment THAT I DID NOT MAKE. c'mon. really?

Dr. Calcagno is a talented dentist, honest, professional, compassionate, & caring. I've had other dentists, but I didn't know how to gauge quality of care until our family began seeing Dr. Calcagno. He's a 10/10.

I've been a customer of James for about 15 years. Service: (always number one for me) He doesn't settle for good enough. He wants it to be perfect. and not just his version of perfect - he asks for feedback about how his solutions are working for you. Quality: Almost without exception, the treatments he gives me (fillings, bondings, etc.) last longer than the standard time and they perform with no complications.

He is very good at estimating the likelihood of a treatment's success and longevity. Skill: He is always incorporating new care techniques. I'm not referring to new products/services to purchase (though there are those). I'm talking about complementary, comprehensive care - new this time was soft tissue cancer screening, as part of my 6-month cleaning.

What really stuck with me this morning was this thought: I can relax because I trust this man with my dental health. and that was a thought worth sharing. Full recommendation. No hesitation.

I took my sons to Dr. Calcagno on a Living Social coupon and was very impressed. His assessments were honest, not excessive, he was professional, personable and they didn't have the odd. I hate to say 'fake'.but that odd feel some dental offices have. I trust his competence and enjoyed the atmosphere. I will definitely be going back and I recommend him highly.
