The team and Dr. So are amazing. They explain a plan each appointment. Very attentive team.

The office do their job. Average interaction with customers as most of time when I visit the the office or talk to them on the phone the conversation is often ended cold, it feels like you're been brushed off. Maybe the staff is busy? So far all the interactions I had with the front desk, finance, inside staffs, except for dr so made me feel this way.

Poor attention to detail. We expected a lot more going by yelp reviews and Dr So's credentials. Dr So did a mediocre job. Our child isn't happy with the results. The office does not let you wait in waiting area since covid, which means you have to wait in car for however long it takes. That's fine if we were unvaccinated. It would be all worth it had the actual job been phenomenal.

My dentist referred me to Dr. So in to have her check my bite and address some cosmetic concerns. I had major mouth surgery 30 years ago, and braces, along with extensive dental work over decades, so she was interested. She took a panoramic Xray and examined my bite and gums. Discussing my history and my concerns, she made some recommendations, none of which required her services. To my surprise there was no charge for her most professional services.

Dr. So is amazing orthodontist. Patient, kind, and has provided great care for my daughter. Look forward to a beautiful smile!

I would really love to give this orthodontic office five stars, but I need to be honest. I think that my child did receive professional care when it came to the technicalities of braces but unfortunately the communication from the staff was poor over the 4 years that we have been there. For example, I would leave a message in the general mailbox and rarely get a call back, I would have to get lucky and call when somebody would answer to get the information I needed. Also, some of the employees over the years at the front desk were lukewarm with their reception at best and seemed inconvenienced at times when I needed help.

I very rarely heard from anyone if there was something important going on with my kid's braces, I would have to try to get a hold of them to be in the loop. Most professionals would let the parent know about any pertinent information. I will be taking my other child to a different doctor for his braces.

I was referred to Castro valley orthodonics by our family dentist. So far everything has been smooth with a few hiccups due to coronavirus we finally got in and are ready to start getting things rolling. Excited to see my 10 year old with a million dollar smile. Dr. So definitely knows what she is doing.

My boys' pediatric dentist suggested it was time to see an orthodontist but only knew of ones close to her practice in Piedmont. She then remembered the stellar orthodontic work she had seen on another patient and recommended Dr. So who was closer to our home. As soon as we walked in to the office I was a happy parent. The staff has always been super welcoming and Saral the office manager, is the absolute best (explains what your cost will be and happily answers questions for you).

Have I mentioned how fantastic Dr. So is? Well, let me share. My oldest son has been a patient for quite a while (his teeth needed a lot of work) and then my youngest son started his treatment so we've been patients for over 5 years! Dr. So is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and honest. Most importantly, my boys have always felt at ease going in for appointments and have never complained. I highly recommend Dr. So!

We met Dr. So during our consultation and it was the first time I have felt I know what I am getting into. She really took time to educate her patients and she is very nice! The kids loved her too! Sarl the lady in charge of the insurance is consistently nice from our first meeting to present. Front desk and assistants are always friendly. Parking though can be challenging. My son will soon get his braces and I shall update my review if anything changes.

First, my stepdaughter has it until now and I like the beautiful result for just a couple of months and I decided to have it too. Dr. So is nice and answer your questions about braces if you really need it or not, even what's the main reason why you need it. I observed that she's attentive and always check if the team are doing good. The staffs are friendly and they'll make you comfortable every visit. If you have a problem with your braces, they'll fix it right away. I love my braces. You guys try to visit there and have it.

This review is for the front line. I don't normally review especially a low review because I think everyone deserves a 2nd chance. I hope what I am bring up today will bring to their attention. I called and tried to make an appointment for my orthodontic on 2/7 but they said they need a clearance from my dentist and say will call me back when they received it.

I waited for couple days still no call back from them. I called again on 2/12 asked if they've get the clearance from my dentist yet, they said not yet and again say will follow up. I'm kinda lost my trust so I call my dentist myself and told my dentist front line what happen. I really appreciated they made the effort to follow up everything and message me back today everything is cleared, and I can call them to make the appointment. I decided to look for 2nd opinions for my orthodontic.

Great place! My eldest daughter got her braces here and Dr So and staff were super friendly and totally took care of my baby when she felt nervous and scared. I highly recommend this place for your orthodontic needs!

Been coming in years for my boys, the girls in the office are soooo nice and Dr So is very honest and upfront, she really takes the time to explain everything. Really nice office, parking depends on certain days. They are very accommodating with the appts.

The end of my permanent lower retainer popped off as I was flossing! That's not what anyone wants during the holiday season, especially the day after Thanksgiving! But Dr. So took a look at it and the staff fixed it in ten minutes flat! And there was no charge! This office has great customer service.

Very pleased with Dr. So and her staff, very competent group of orthodontist. I was recommended this office by a family member, easy process. Everything from installation of braces to monitoring the progress and removal. Best feeling ever once your teeth are straight and braces are off. Would recommend to everyone!

Cole's teeth look AMAZING after his orthodontic treatment! The effort they all put into getting Cole to realize that his teeth are like diamonds and we only have one set! Cole can't stop smiling! Dr. So and staff, especially Holly, are so considerate and put up with my scheduling and forgetting the schedule that I can't thank them enough! Cole and I are very happy with his beautiful smile and recommend Dr. So to everyone I know!

I'm so happy that we chose Dr So for both my kids braces. Holly the front desk person is wonderful. From the welcome greeting to the exit new appointment schedule she always has a smile on her face. Farrell is just as wonderful. Dr So always is available for update or questions. She's an awesome orthodontist. I've been super happy with our entire experience here and would bring in my third kid if I had one.

Before settling with Castro Valley Orthodontics, I've received several consultation type ortho appointments at other local Castro Valley and San Leandro orthodontist locations. The price was not much different, across the places. What stood out for me was professionalism, smoothness, and a great inviting culture at CV Orthodontics. Small things that worked great over 37 months 30 treatment and 7 of ever 3 months follow up is their phone reminder and email system worked great for me.

This resulted in no missed appointments. Advise: they are professionals, but do not be afraid to ask questions about the methods and always ask for options, especially in more serious cases when surgery might be recommended. Remember you do have options!

Dr. So is very thorough! She watches every aspect and noticed every detail! Having 3 kids at the office I have enjoyed many benefits! The staff is irreplaceable! Each and every one contributes a specialty and a personal touch! So far we have gone through: 1 spacer to direct an impacted tooth, 2 sets of braces and now 1 phase 2 set, 2 retainers, 2 pallet expanders, and more to come!

Before settling in with an orthodontics office of choice. I went around couple of places, and shopped around. I live in Castro Valley, CA so a Castro Valley orthodontist would make sense, naturally. But even in Castro Valley, there are options. What ultimately brought me to this place, is the great vibe and atmosphere that this place has, from the receptionist to the person adjusting your teeth, its hard to explain but its there.

Also its very kid friendly with all the art work and contests, it feels closer to chuck e cheese than a dentist place, well maybe not that close;). After a fairly long relationship of 37 months with CV Orthodontics, they have provided great professionalism, great service, which definitely made up for the hassle of wearing my *grill*;)
