Maintaining good oral hygiene is one of the most important things you can do for your teeth and gums. Healthy teeth not only enable you to look and feel good, they make it possible to eat and speak properly. Good oral health is important to your overall well-being. Daily preventive care, including proper brushing and flossing, will help stop problems before they develop.
Periodontal diseases and conditions affect the tissues around your teeth. There are three types tissues around your teeth that can affected: gums, bone, and connective tissue between the tooth and bone/gums. Various conditions can affect the health of these tissues. Proper periodontal care, early treatment of periodontal conditions and periodontal maintenance (follow-up care) are the key elements for your periodontal health and teeth retention. Healthy gums enhance the appearance of your teeth. Healthy surrounding bone ensure the proper function and alignment of your teeth.
Q: Which type of toothbrush should I use? A: The brand of the toothbrush is not as critical as the type of bristle and the size of the head. A soft toothbrush with a small head is recommended because medium and hard brushes tend to cause irritation and contribute to recession of the gums, and a small head allows you to get around each tooth more completely and is less likely to injure your gums.

I used Ingram Dental Clinic 20 years ago and I just received a past due bill. I have not received a bill in 20 years and now they are saying I owe. I called the office and spoke with Mrs. Ingram and she could not give me a direct answer. She said that a collection agency was trying to collect for them. The bill did not come from a collection agency but directly from their office.

She told me I could come in and take care of the bill. I told her that I have not receive anything for 20 years and she said something may be wrong with their computers. She said she did not know what to tell me and hung up on me. I tried to call back several times and no one would answer and you can not leave a voicemail. This is all very fishy! Please be aware of this!

I recently made an appointment with them for a cleaning and I had to take my 2 year old son with me. The woman that cleaned my teeth was very nice and very understanding! They were very patient and so sweet! I'm so glad I chose this dentist office!

I would really like to rate below a star but there is no way to do that. I would love to give a negative ten. He did a crown on my tooth which hurt from the day I went there until today. I am presently going to UAB Dental school and having to pay again for the crown done by Dr. Ingram. The crown he put on my tooth had to be removed because there was still decay under the crown.

He never properly cleaned the decay and placed the crown on top. I am still in pain and really hope they can save my tooth. I would NEVER recommend him to anyone. Not even their beloved pet.

I have not had any personal experience with them, but they acted like my daughter was crazy when she told them she could still feel everything after they numbed her. He also told her if she got choked that he wasnt going to stop. what kind of dentist does that? Is there a dentist out there that is not judgmental or rude?

Hi! My name is Angie Frost. I just left Dr. Ingram's office in Piedmont. This was my very first visit, and I had an emergency. I called the office and explained to the receptionist that I was in terrible pain, and she told me to come right down! From the moment I walked in, everyone was so very friendly! The Dental assistant's the Hygentist and Dr Ingram we're all the very best! Dr Ingram explained things so very well! And most of all, He took me out of my severe pain! I would recomened this dentist!

I had a wisdom tooth extracted a few hours ago. It was the worst experience I've ever had. After several shots I could still feel intense pain from the nerves. After the extraction I was n worse pain than I was before. He gave me 3 more shots to numb my mouth and a box if apple juice before I left wth. And now my sinus cavity feels weird and I'm having an ear ache. Ive had 3 extactions before today from other dentist that was relatively painless.

But I'll NEVER use Ingram again! I felt like had crossed the border and gotten some black market dental work done. That was my experience! I'm not the one to write reviews but my experience was so Horrible that I hope some reads this review and goes elsewhere!
