Had a hard time making an appointment in February. fFnally got one. Arrived to find that Dr. Melendez is no longer there. The staff is different. Front desk person basically spilled the beans about the office being a chaotic mess. Against my better judgement I went forward with the cleaning. Hygienist was fine. Dr. who looks 11 years-old, showed up for 2 seconds to look at my mouth then hurriedly left.
Now I'm roped into another appointment in August because I prepaid for the insurance (which was the way Dr. Melendez did things) but can't get through to the office and whenever I drive by (have to pass it every day to get to work) they are never open.

So I haven't been there since Dr Melendez was there probably sometime in October of 2019. No one told me what happened to him, and the staff started to dissappear without the "new" people knowing what's going on. Super sketchy to me. Then I hear about insurance fraud from other people around town. Then here's where the story starts, i get a letter that I owe money.
So I called in they said I had paid it and the statement was incorrect and to just ignore it. THEN I GET A 2ND LETTER and I call AGAIN like um so I got another letter? Then I was put on hold. UM IM SORRY. SO THEN SHE DECIDES OH I SEE THAT IM SO SORRY ILL MAKE ANOTHER NOTE THIS TIME! SO. Fine right every few months I get a letter well i got a final notice today and its like great thanks if you touch my credit I will sue you this is insanity

The team at Parsippany Dental Care are quite simply the best I've ever experienced. They speak to you by your first name and remember you when you come back in. There are no bad attitudes and you are made to feel like a family member. Dr. Hector Melendez is quite simply the best dentist I've ever had in my life. His bedside manner is quite simply exceptional and he will talk through the options available to you and does not push you into anything unnecessary.
I had a flawless implant procedure and he also worked with me and my remaining insurance budget to do a temporary repair until my insurance reset, so I could have more extensive work done later. I would highly recommend this practice for all your dental needs.

I have tried to make an appointment with Amara Dental for the last 3 weeks. I work 12 hour shifts so it's always hard because of my schedule. They scheduled me in for 9:30 am the first time(I live an hour away) I missed work and was on my way there when they call to tell me the doctor will not be in today. I rescheduled for the following week for the same time.
When I drive an hour to the office I get there and the front desk lady said they couldn't take me because they already took other patients. I literally missed to days of work and had to drive back for the 2nd time with out being taken care of. I wouldn't recommend them they don't value a patients time. I find it ridiculous to let someone miss work and drive an hour to your appointment for them to get there and get cancelled. If they couldn't take me they should of called so I wouldn't drive and loose 2 hours and a day of work for nothing. NEVER going back here.

Growing up I had a very hard time visiting the dentist, and I never really liked going, (but I mean who does right?) anyways, Dr. Hector Melendez made me feel so at home, as well as all the staff going over the procedures for fill ins, cavities, crowns etc. All before and during the treatment. He and his personal assistant are the only dentists I will recommend, they actually care about whats going on.
This place has made me feel better about going to the dentist and there is NEVER a problem! (Well except my teeth of course lol) From the front desk service, Silvana working with me on payments and insurance and even going out of her way to call and make sure other things are going the right way for my braces treatment elsewhere. These guys are amazing! I highly recommend for everyone!

I would recommend Dr. Melendez Dedos to anyone and everyone. He and his Team have taken EXCELLENT care of me for years. They make me feel like a Member of the Family, not just a patient. From Silvana when I first walk in, to to Gianna promptly taking me to the back and prepping me, to Florina cleaning my teeth, to the Good Doctor examining me, this Team is top-notch in EVERY Way.
I cannot imagine a way in which my Experience with them could be any better. One thing I do want to point out is the Dr. M-D NEVER tries to sell me whitening or any other services I do not need. That was why I left my previous dentist. My most recent visit, he shook my hand and said "Have a Great Summer!" None of this "Oh you need this.and you need that." THIS to me is the Mark of a Truly Excellent Dentist.
He is a Doctor. NOT a Salesman. And I can't express how much I appreciate that. If you are new to the area or have had enough of your current dentist (as was the case with me), I believe you will be VERY happy with Dr. M-D and his Excellent Team.

Marina is an amazing hygienist. No BSing around. She tells it how it is and is very thorough and fast. I unfortunately forgot the doctors name but you can't miss him. Very nice man and is very attentive to his patients. I recommended this place to my fiance as well as a friend. Doesn't hurt that the Dentist has an amazing Colombian accent; haha!

I was a new patient to Parsippany Dental Care and was pleasantly surprised by how clean and inviting their building was. The staff was pleasant and helpful (even when I brought the wrong insurance card, oops!) and it was quick. The dentist was professional and kind. I will be using this office for my routine dental care now.
