Dr. Jamie and her team members are passionate about evaluating each patient's need, whether it is having a single tooth restored, or having a whole mouth rebuilt. One of the most exciting services we provide is that we meet with some of the finest dental specialists in our area in order to help our patients with more complex dental needs - whether it is orthodontics, dental implants, oral surgery, growth and development, sleep - we like to keep company with specialists who are seeking the same goals for our patients - an excellent outcome every time.
Dr. Jamie loves having long-lasting relationships with her patients and their families, as she is a Pueblo native and loves treating patients of all ages comprehensively. Her approach to dentistry is one of comprehensive, educational dentistry done in a minimally invasive way. She loves to help figure out why things have broken down, and how to prevent this in the future.
Dr. James Swanson retired after a prestigious 50 year career here in Pueblo. He still stops at the office every day to say hello, to "keep everyone in line!" and give us a laugh and encouragement. Dr. Jim Swanson is a proud graduate of St. Louis University Dental School, University of Colorado - Boulder, and the esteemed Pankey Dental Institute.

Came in for a 2nd opinion on my newborn's severe lip tie. First dentist we went to in Pueblo refused to do anything after only talking to us for 5mins and making us wait for over an hr. My midwife recommended family smiles and it was exactly what we needed. Dr Jaime Johnson was Great! She knew exactly what we were going through and was soo helpful and caring.
She walked me through the procedure, explaining all details and was able to resolve my daughter's lip tie same day. It has truly changed our lives for the better and my daughter is finally putting on weight. Thank you Dr Jaime and the wonderful team at Family Smiles!

I've been going to this dentist for about 7 years. I went to another dentist a couple blocks away and they told me I had multiple cavities I needed to have filled. I had never had a cavity in my life so I sought a second opinion. Family Smiles did x-rays and a thorough exam and told me I had no cavities! 7 years later and still no cavities! Family Smiles is honest and reasonable and not interested in just making money. They always treat me like a member of their family.

A professional, comforting, fun atmosphere with the absolutely best staff and doctors I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Dr. Jamie and Dr. Jim do an amazing job while making you feel at ease. A beautiful building and amazing operatories. It makes me feel like I'm at home. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a nice, clean, and amazing dental experience.
