My profession means everything to me. It is what drives me every day and, other than my family, it is what I enjoy the most. Having the opportunity to make people feel better about themselves and their smiles, and to work with people who enjoy it as well, is unexplainable. I entered the dental profession to help people on an unmediated personal level. Above all else my goal is to provide the highest quality care and positive experience for our patients to improve and maintain their health. I am grateful for the opportunity to join such a dedicated team in providing service to a wonderful community.
Dr. Nathan Makay believes that continuing education is an essential part of providing quality, comprehensive care to his patients. He is currently active in Spear Education and has attended the Misch International Implant Institute, in addition to receiving special training in Invisalign, Six Month Smiles, and Perio Protect.

Best dentists and hygienists AND front desk staff around. Very fair pricing, super efficient with patients' time and very willing to accommodate preferences when they can. This is a respectful and inclusive space to get your dental work done and dental health cared for. I constantly recommend them to friends/family. If you are at all uneasy at the dentist this is the place to come to.

Dr. Lieberman and the staff at Essex family dental are top notch I've had two route canal and crowns done by him and his team. I'm pain free and happier for it, they all went above and beyond to make my experience as pain free and relaxing as possible while holding the highest level of professionalism.

I highly recommend this dental practice. Everyone that works here is knowledgeable, friendly and professional. They really put the patient first. I'm a third of the way through my Invisalign treatment and it's going fantastic thanks to Dr. Lieberman and the rest of the EFD crew! I first started coming here when I broke a front tooth and was in a panic for dental help. I wasn't a even a patient and they got me right in and fixed my tooth immediately. Amazing care and service. Thanks again EFD!

A few weeks ago my 5 year old daughter had her regular cleaning and dentist check and was told "her teeth look great" today she started antibiotics and had oral surgery scheduled for a cavity that led to a broken tooth and a horribly infected tooth. How do you miss a cavity that bad?!?! I would never recommend them and unfortunately this isn't my only horrible experience with this dental practice.
My last appointment was for a crown. The girl who put my crown on used the temporary bond and then proceeded to pry the crown back off causing me to bleed everywhere and have excruciating pain. A crown is supposed to be an easy in and out pain free appointment. Not only was that bad but she put the crown on so it wasn't fitted correctly and now it causes me daily discomfort. Please save yourself the pain and go someplace else!

Used to love it here, until they hid a $250 credit from me for too long and could not get a grasp on HIPAA to ensure my safety. I've asked for a vaccinated employee for my appts a few times, the first time someone lied and said their staff was vaxxed and the technician told me themselves that they weren't. The next few times a receptionist told me it is against HIPAA for them to ask their employees. Wrong. It is NOT against HIPAA for them to ask their employees for their vaccination status.

I (embarrassingly) had not seen a dentist for a very long time. When an emergency came up, I called several different offices and couldn't find anyone who had an opening relatively soon. Finally, I spoke with someone at Essex Fam Dental who got me an appointment the NEXT day (which happened to be a Saturday, even). The staff were all wonderful and nonjudgmental, and they immediately addressed and fixed the issue I was having, and had me on my way. My dentist-related anxiety has been slightly alleviated thanks to kind staff I interacted with here, and I will certainly be making more regular visits in the future.

The dental experience of my dreams! I laughed. I learned. I. loved? Deeply educational, very personal experience. They are democratic and patient-focused rather than being top-down authoritarian. They want to make sure you're comfortable. They want to make sure you understand everything. They want to make sure you get the best care for your specific mouth.
Everyone appears competent. Everyone is a real live human with a personality (as opposed to dead-eyed shells who hate their lives, at other establishments). I genuinely look forward to returning, which is just absolute customer service voodoo. All hail Jen.

I was visiting Vermont from New Jersey. I had a dental emergency. I called Essex Family Dental on Tuesday. I was greeted by an extremely friendly associate. She said no problem you can come in the next day on Wednesday. I was extremely pleased on my entrance to an exceptionally clean facility, well organized, professional and overtly friendly staff.
I was taken shortly before my appointment time. Dental associate Lyn and Doctor Bryan checked me out. Lyn took over and replaced a crown for me. She was extremely friendly and professional. She kept checking if I felt any pain. Lyn was great. I could not have been more pleased with my visit. If I lived in or around Burlington I would definitely make Essex Family Dental my dentist of choice.
