East Village Dental Center - Benjamin Mc Williams

I LOVE this place - the staff are so nice and helpful with everything from scheduling to insurance pre-approval to ensuring a positive experience with x-rays, cleaning, and exam. I felt like I could be honest about my flossing and interval since my last cleaning because nobody was judgemental. The cleaning was quick, painless, and thorough. The dentist was professional and friendly. My teeth feel amazing and clean. I will definitely be coming back and recommending East Village Dental to everyone!

Like many, I have major anxiety going to the dentist and I put it off entirely too long. I was able to schedule an urgent, last minute visit for Saturday morning and the entire experience was amazing. The staff at the front desk was courteous and helped ease my nerves. Dr. Treinkman and his assistant were beyond kind, approachable and communicated each phase of my work to help ease my nerves.

I was able to get a root canal and crown done in the same visit, and have found my go-to dentist office. And learned a very painful lesson to go to the dentist every 6 months!

You'd think this place was run by car salesmen, not medical doctors. Instead of professional consultation, they made me watch a fear-inducing youtube video about gum disease, followed by an administrator coming in and asking me for a credit card for a $1600 procedure itemized on a bill that she couldn't answer any questions about, and they were planning to start the treatment right away!

I didn't even get to speak with the doctor or ask any questions! Absolutely no! When I told them I was uncomfortable and I think I need to go somewhere else, they agreed to not charge me for the appointment so I left. But they apparently changed their mind because they are billing me anyway, even after acknowledging their scammy behavior! To make matters worse, they said they were going to root out the employee that screwed up, but the pettiness and nerve it takes to charge me for the visit make it clear the problems at this place start at the top.

I am so grateful I found East Village Dental. I came upon this practice while desperately searching for an emergency dental appointment for my unbearable toothache which didn't seem to go away. I was very happy to find that I was able to look for available appointments on their website and they happened to have an emergency appointment available the next morning.

My appointment was very pleasant from the moment I walked in. I was extremely nervous as I needed to get two wisdom tooth extracted, but I felt very comfortable with Pragna through the anesthetic procedure, she is extremely professional and explained everything to me in great detail. Dr. Gary was also amazing through the procedure, and it was over a lot quicker than I thought it would be. I will definitely continue to go here for my long term dental needs.

I went to East Village due to a cavity. The team here is incredibly accommodating and efficient. Dr. Patel took a look as soon as possible, and she was able to execute a root canal and crown on the same day. In addition to being extremely competent and knowledgeable, she has a very gentle touch and I hardly experienced any pain during or after the procedure. I've had terrible experiences with other practices in the past, but East Village is amazing! Highly recommend!

East Village Dental Centre is a phenomenal dentist office! The staff are so welcoming and friendly! Best of all, Dr. Treinkman is a PRO when it comes to removing wisdom teeth! He has such a gift for his job that there is no pain following the procedure! I would 100% recommend this dental office to anyone!

My dental hygienist is awesome. He is always pleasant and professional.oh and does a great job with my cleanings Thanks Alfredo! We were concerned how the service would be after our dentist just up and left, but we are still pleased. The staff is great.me and my husband love this place.

Outstanding service! Everyone in the office was polite and considerate. I came in to get my wisdom tooth remove, and the doctor was very courteous. She made the operation as seem less and as comfortable as she could. I will be recommending all of my family and friends here.

My first time in this office and I've never felt so welcomed! Everyone who worked there was so nice and friendly. I am not a huge fan of the dentist, but they made the worries go away! The space was absolutely spotless and very organized. I really enjoyed the fact that I got to see everything that they were doing and they explained everything to me as they were doing it. Great crew over there who truly puts you and your worries first! 10/10 recommend!

Great experience! Dr. McShane is a wonderful and knowledgeable individual. He reassured me that I was going to be fine. (I have such a fear of needles etc.) Everything was totally painless. After not being able to get an appointment with my dentist for over a week (and in severe pain), I called and they got me in within 30 MINUTES! Super friendly and helpful team. They literally SAVED my week after not being able to eat or sleep for days. Cannot recommend Dr. Gary enough!

My hygienist today was great. I think Alfredo? I have sensitive teeth and cleanings are always so attentive here. I 've been coming here for nearly 10 years and will continue to as long as I stay in Chicago. Recommend!

East Village Dental was able to see me as a new patient and take care of an urgent root canal issue on the same day (around the busiest time of year for them, no less!). Their service was amazing and their team was truly courteous, accommodating, and professional. I felt like I was in the best hands possible. I cannot tell you what a relief I felt immediately after the operation was complete.

It's like the pain/pressure went from a volume of 100 before seeing them to 0 immediately afterward. I woke up the next day and almost shed a tear because of how good I was feeling. Everyone from the front desk (Michael and the lovely woman who handled my payment) to the techs (Octavia and the assistant during the procedure) to the hygienist (Pragna) to Dr. Treinkman were incredible. I can't believe we did all the new patient intake and procedure on the same day when your office was totally swamped. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I didn't really feel much discomfort afterward. You'd think after a root canal there would be pain/sensitivity the next few days - I experienced nothing but relief. They even kept the crown I had on the tooth intact, saving me a lot of money. Total pros, I'll be going back!

I have been petrified my whole life to go to the dentist, but I was recommended East Village dental by a high school friend after not going to any dentist after a horrific experience with one in particular many years ago. I finally worked up the courage and now have been coming here for 3 years! I love the people and the staff really cares for their patients and truly the health of your teeth.

Every experience I have had has been nothing but gentle, kind, sincere and truly informational. They explain everything to you as well as making sure there's no unnecessary work to cost you extra money. I really appreciated that because that is something people are always skeptical about. NOT HERE! I have seen a few of the dentist, if mine is not available.

Let me just say they are all fantastic! Every dental assistant and hygienist is so in love with her job and it shows. I really appreciate the way I get treated here and I think people should know! So if you are looking for a new dentist I recommend East Village Dental! They also have state of the art equipment and up-to-date technology in order to do what is needed

We have been going to East Village Dental for the past seven years. We have been receiving beyond exceptional care and service from all of the staff and dentists there. They go above and beyond to ensure exquisite patient care. They are very well equipped to address most of the dental needs.

I had a root canal in my molar that got infected twice over the years so I came here to get it removed. I am so grateful for everyone that helped me & was extremely patient with me. They explained the process in detail & there prices were affordable for me. The removal was so quick it felt like I was in & out. Will definitely recommend to anyone I know.

East Village dental office treated me very well from the start to finish. Getting an appointment within a couple of days of my first call. Octavia was great, I am usually not comfortable in a dental office, but I was at ease with the friendliness of the whole staff. I received completed X- rays, a deep cleaning by Dr. Dani- I believe is her name, she was great! information on financing & a more than one option for my cosmetic wishes. They really care about their patients, I am very pleased.

I've been bragging about this place to anyone who will listen for 10+ years. High tech, clean, friendly, everyone super organized and skilled. Have had a root canal or two there and 2 or 3 crowns along with regular cleanings, fillings and consultations.all expertly done, never any waiting past my appointment time. I was in and out of there today in 4 hours with a perfectly fitted, bonded crown - whole thing done start to finish in one sitting. Highly recommended practice. I will never go anywhere else.

I was in severe pain like I have never been in for four days. I couldn't eat anything solid, I couldn't sleep, I was taking painkillers, and it felt like my life stopped completely. I called a bunch of places and everywhere offered a consult but not to take the tooth out which was so stressful. I called East Village Dental and they offered me a spot day OF and took out the wisdom tooth. with MUCH less pain than I even anticipated.

I literally feel like me again after being in so much pain lol sorry to be dramatic but honestly the way my tooth was, and I had no idea how to navigate fixing it as it was the holidays and also I've never had any kind of intense dental work done outside of the occasional filling. And they made it so much easier. Everyone was so kind and helpful. Especially with COVID, it feels so refreshing and calming to be treated with calmness and care and that's what everyone did here.

They were 30 minutes late for my cleaning appointment and then did not have time to clean my teeth and had me rebook. They also wanted $700 for a heavy duty night guard/retainer. American Dental Associates is only $500 and they actually perform the services I book during my appointment. Bummer.

East Village Dental is amazing! Everyone from start to finish of my visit today was awesome! Very tentative and always checking in during my procedure. I had a tooth pulled and a cleaning. I am not one for the dentist, I have had negative experiences in the past with other dental offices not the case here. I will be back! They are my family dentist, so nice and you can tell they take care of both their patients and thier employees! They even had a birthday celebration today and that kind of unity really shines through in the work they do. Thanks East Village!

East Village Dental Centre is fantastic. Every employee is warm and welcoming. I was impressed with how technologically advanced their practice was. They gave me quick 3D scans of my mouth which was quick and not invasive. Dr. Pragna and her lovely technician were amazing. They accommodated any request I had and the deep cleaning was exemplary. I would highly recommend East Village to any friend or family member. Thanks again!

Best dentists ever! They do everything--including crowns RIGHT ON SITE. Dr. Treinkman is my dentist and he is amazing. All the assistants and people on board are thoroughly knowledgable, confident, professional and very friendly. I feel safe when I walk in and I know my dental issues will be dealt with by professionals with the latest innovations available, and with great care and expertise. I left feeling like a new person with a new crown!

My 98 yo mother, visiting from out of town, broke her dentures in half. Nutrition is especially important at that age and the incident sincerely alarmed us. East Village Dental came to the rescue and mended the dentures the following day and in a day. We couldn't be more pleased and grateful! Great staff, great dentists, great place!

I cannot say enough good things about the dentists and staff at East Village Dental Centre. Dr. McShane is a highly competent, compassionate professional and a gem of a human being. Every member of their staff I have worked with over the past few years has been wonderful. They also have weekend availability and use cutting edge technology (e.g., same-day crowns) in their work, which means less time off work for me when I need dental care. Very grateful to have found this practice!

Awesome experience. I have many teeth problems but pain became completely unbearable, so I googled emergency dental care and East Village Dental had amazing reviews so I visited the website on Thursday night & requested an appointment. I got a call early Friday, in which I had the option to come in immediately but I set my appointment for today. All "new patient" intake was done online so when I got there everyone was nice and ready to take care of me. I've never felt so comfortable at the dentist ever and I'm so pleased at the care I received. I had teeth removed and it went so well that I didn't feel a thing. Yayy I can't wait to continue my dental care journey here.

The team here is pretty fantastic IMO. However, I couldn't figure out why my out of pocket amount was so large. Ended up calling my insurance company and learned that East Village was fluffing the bill on my end. Taking money from my insurance then adding an additional 200$ to my out of pocket. From what I've read many negative review on here links to some sort of money/insurance issue. No clue if this happened with previous procedures. All I can say is be careful.

What an awesome experience I had today with the East Village Dental Centre. I arrived very afraid of the treatment I might be receiving. Everyone was kind, respectful and Covid careful. The team who worked with me was Dr. Treinkman, Pragna and Joel (sorry I did not get the name of the other hygenist). As someone who has lost a lot of teeth due to my personal fears, this was an office and dentist I should have been going to years ago.

Part of my treatment plan included a deep cleaning, boy was I scared of this prospect but the entire procedure was painless including the deadening of my gums. I cannot sing their praises often enough. I am home now and pain free. I Iook forward to their future services.

Cannot recommend this office enough. As far as root canals go, East Village Dental exceeded my expectations. Not only did they keep it significantly less painful then I imagined, but the staff was super kind and considerate. Arianna, Joel, Lauren, and Dr. Benjamin McWilliams were a phenomenal team. Lauren was kind enough to bring me a pear to snack on when I became light headed from an empty stomach.

They also have monitors that display real time progress. These kept me informed and provided a level of comfort I wasn't expecting, in addition to making me want to take more ownership of my dental hygiene. Thank you thank you to Dr. Ben and the whole team!

Beautiful office and efficiently run. Nice employees. But WAY TO EXPENSIVE! Every time I go they claim I need a DEEP CLEANING so they can charge me thousands of dollars. Their price for 1 implant was over $6000. Needless to say I stopped going here. You have to charge extra to afford all of that super modern equipment and all of those employees.

I got a crown on my upper front tooth and a veneer on my upper left tooth. A few hours after the procedure, I felt uncomfortable chewing when having a meal. I contacted the office, which scheduled an appointment for me the next business day. The Dentist also gave me a call shortly thereafter to make sure that I wasn't in any pain/didn't need immediate treatment, and that I would be comfortable waiting until the appointment.

At the appointment, the Dentist fixed me up to full satisfaction, and my mouth feels great and I am totally comfortable chewing. I really appreciated that the Dentist was so responsive. The staff also was very gracious, professional, responsive, and polite. I definitely recommend East Village Dental!

SO impressed. I called with a terrible amount of pain at about 9am and was in the clinic by 9:45. They accepted my insurance, took me in right away, and both the assistants and the dentist (Dr. Treinkman) were extremely accommodating and friendly. Very very good at what they do! I got four wisdom teeth pulled and would go back for any treatment I need in the future. Thank you SO MUCH!

I came here for an emergency dentist appointment. I loved it here. Same day turn around on a crown was awesome. The whole staff is so nice here and very accommodating. I was having a rough month and having a broken tooth wasn't the best thing to happen. They made my experience forget about such a bad month. Thanks again as well to Dr. Matthew McShane. Really enjoyed having him take care of my tooth. He was so personable, nice, and easy going. Thanks again. I will be back to now have my primary dentist.

Recently moved to Chicago and didn't have a primary dentist until now. Little nervous because I've gone to the same dentist my whole life. They were very kind and efficient. I ended up having to get a crown that same day. Can't remember the dentist that put my crown on but his name started with a K. He was great. I would recommend!

Not worth the headache! Over three years later and I am receiving a bill for a service I received. While in office I paid over $500 out of pocket to cover what insurance would not cover. Now I am receiving a collection email stating I owe ANOTHER $360! There is no bill attached to show where the extra charges are from on my account. This place is a billing nightmare and starting to feel more like a scam!

If you need another office Pilsen Smiles is so much more professional. Never had an issue with billing there or them trying to collect additional money after I have already paid for my service.

I would never return or recommend. Their billing setup is horrendous. I was constantly told I owed money when I didn't. They had to refund me and, naturally, it took forever. I asked them to deactivate and delete my account because I was tired of them, and over a year later I am still being contacted. These tontos tied my father's insurance to my husband's account without anyone's permission.

There are so many other options in this city - so save yourself a headache and go somewhere else. Extra gem: I went in for a cleaning one week before my wedding and the lady went on and on trying to sell me on invisalign and coming in for an appointment in a week. I kept telling her I had a wedding in a week and it was like she didn't even hear me because the entire appointment she continued to try to convince me to get invisalign. That was the last straw for me, but somehow they have managed to stay in my life, despite my requests to delete my account.

Staffing makes the biggest difference when it comes to service. Dr. Treinkman has a great team, and they make a visit to the dentist much more bearable. I will insert a shout out to Marlene and Sandy for the ease of scheduling, explaining insurance, and handling the billing. The office was able to take the x-rays from my previous dentist and also show me what was going on with my teeth and testing out what was causing the pain. Basically, I needed a root canal and Dr. Treinkman got it done very efficiently and painlessly in less than the allotted time.

In any even the pain has been gone and it put my mind at ease and made me worry about one less thing while out on my honeymoon vacation. I will be back for future visits for cleanings and probably a crown.
