IV sedation is an ideal option for patients who are scared of dental work or who have a low tolerance for pain. The anesthesia specialist can control the patient's level of sedation because the medication is administered directly into the bloodstream, intravenously. The IV Sedation department works by appointment only.

I mean the price is good. But 7/10 of the staff will treat you like cattle. They don't have bedside manners AT ALL. The older Dr. Talks to all the patients like they have IQs of 40. You can tell most of then simply don't care about the people coming in providing them the means to their paycheck and that needs to change. But if you're desperate, sure, go there.

I drove from Atlanta, GA to Florence, SC for this place. I had 11 top teeth pulled, a full top set and a partial made for the bottom. The people were super friendly and helpful. It is helpful to you to have a consultation with a dentist before you go so you know exactly what you need done. They do not pull teeth they deem are good. Over all cost me about $1,000. Would highly recommend. Saved me thousands.

If I could give a zero I would. Dr Terry seemed nice initially, i was very patient waiting on what was supposed to be an 8-10 wk process beginning in September 2021 that turned into a 8 mth process. I went in for a bridge and was given two sample bridge colors that the assistant thought matched after I chose and signed that this was the color I wanted I got my temporary put on. Was given the run around about permanent placement and told that they did not have a Dentist to do the services, patiently waited until May 2022 with a very off bite that was adjusted and still didn't help much. Got my permanent today and it did not match my other teeth although the sample did match which is what they gave me to choose from which basically means deception on their part because how do you have me choose from a selection and you don't even match what was chosen.

He said there was nothing he could do and now I'm out of thousands of dollars and the manager has yet to call me back so now I'm pursuing legal action, because I'm not one of those people you get over on who can't afford to go after you, oh I'm coming. Do not i repeat do not go here In response to your reply, you did not use the shade my previous dentist used.

And I don't care what color the temporary was it was temporary. But the permanent bridge should have matched the shade sample that you had me choose from and it did not match once the permanent came back yet it matched my teeth so how do you have me use the sample to choose my shade then it comes back and still does not match that is called deception and once i get this class action law suit started because there are plenty of people I've contacted from these reviews with similar issues we will see what the outcome is, you all have gotten over on people long enough and it's time someone addressed it, just taking from people with no repercussions but not this time. This nurse has the time and the funds to follow up. Enjoy your day as well.

The Sexton in Myrtle Beach has a horrible reputation around here so I always go to the Sexton in Florence and have had nothing but awesome experiences every time. The negative reviews surprise me because I've had several dentists over the years and they all were very professional and nice to me even if they were in a hurry to get to the next patient.

The front desk lady and other dental staff have always been super sweet too. This is one of the few medical places I don't dread my appointments at since I always get nice people and don't have to worry about someone having a nasty attitude like I have experienced at other medical places.

So my wife and I came to Florence from Lexington to get her top teeth pulled. She has felt with broken teeth and pain for years and even with dental insurance we couldn't afford the help she needed. Half the time the consults they make you do use up your insurance. So when a friend told us to try this out we did. This is when the nightmare begins.

She was treated like a piece of cattle and herded through with so many people. They almost pulled her bottom teeth which are in good health because they had the wrong chart. After pulling her teeth we break for lunch and we're told to return. After waiting until nearly 4pm we had not received her denture. The rude lady said we were told it could take until 5 and to have a seat.

So waited until five and was told they had lost her impressions and we would have to come back. So here we are in our home, my poor wife is crying hysterically in our room with no teeth or denture. This place is disgusting l, awful, and preys on people. Do not go there. They think since they have your money they don't need to make things right. Fortunately I stopped payment and they don't need to worry about taking me to court because I will be filling with the courts on Monday.

Not good drove five hours to let them tell me I had to go to surgeon to get 3 of my good teeth pulled. Got 2 consultation before going and they didn't say anything about surgerical removing any teeth only went because good deal. just believe they pick and choose what they want to do and still charged me 115 and did nothing. Not recommended 0 star Could have pulled my teeth but didn't expect me to go back to ga get teeth pulled then come back

Sexton Dental Clinic is the worst place that I have ever been to in my life. The front desk receptionist is rude, disrespectful and needs to learn how to speak to people. I had my teeth pulled in November 2021 and have not been able to wear my partials as of yet! Dr. Stith is not a dentist that I would recommend to anyone, she knew my partials were not made right and she still tried to adjust them, knowing that they would never fit right.

They had my money and still did not try to correct the problem. The new dentist Dr. Montgomery that's going to replace her was very understanding and right away noticed that my partials need to be remade. I hope this reaches the right person in Florence that's the head of this clinic, Dr. Waller. They need to correct my issue and anyone else's for that matter.

I wish i could give them "No Star's " because that's what this clinic needs. I have been to this clinic so many times with no results hopefully this week i'll at least be able to wear my bottom partials. I will be pursing other ways to satisfy my needs for the inconvenience and stress this has caused me. You would think that Dr. Stith would apologize for her mistakes but nothing not a word. THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!

A month ago on February 11, 2022 travel from Charlotte, NC to Sexton Dental Clinic. Arrived at approximately 5:45 am for my 6:00am appointment. It was so cold that morning just waiting to enter the building. Next, inside I screened per protocol for Covid. The second contact was the receptionist who didn't direct me to sit in the proper place to be called for the appointment process to begin.

I remember looking at the time which was about 9am. By not being in the right area I didn't hear my name call, so I missed out until I asked what was going on. I found out that I was called at least twice. There is no intercom system and I was so far away. Now, this was my first time in this clinic and my last. Finally, I was called to Radiology per protocol before my exam.

Upon entering most people are asked to remove any jewelry etc. The next process was supposed to shield my upper and lower body from any radiation exposure. The technician never mentioned anything or thought to protect me from these potential rays. Today, I spoke with Jay Wilder who allegedly stated he was a supervisor. We started out with a reasonable cordial conversation, until I questioned him on why I wasn't protected properly against radiation?

His answer was " it's optional because the rays are not harmful and is safe! " When questioning him further he became defensive and hung / up the phone on me when I still was probing for answers. Furthermore, before he was so rudely and disrespectful I asked for further escalation to higher levels in which he declined. Also. I requested my payment back and he also said it wasn't refundable.

In reading reviews on this company before I traveled would have saved me from this horrific experience! The exam room was not kclean enough for me either, definitely needs upgraded. As a professional in medical myself I do know I should have told her to drake me first but totally slip my mind. I just hope there's know damage to my body and I find out later in life! Viewers this is for you and my shared experience to better educate anyone who is reading this message to not let this happen to you! " Never get exposed to radiation, make sure your body is protected through out the process.

I should have know better because the technician demonstrated and didn't care about me. How careless and unprofessional a clinic can be? It's your decision to go to this place and maybe it will be better for you and the next person. Good Luck !

Was there on a Thursday at 6am. Had my impression made and they told me to come back at 12. Got back and didn't get in till 2pm. Went to back just to find out they had made my dentures wrong and that i would have to come back that following week to have them remade. At there expense. And the lady who took my bite impression was hateful and rude and acted like it was my fault they made them wrong.

I like the prices. But if i am paying for the most expensive set they got. I expect them to be made right and not blamed for there mistake. Do not see myself returning in future. Update had new set made today and still are wrong. They look like they made a set of teeth for a horse. They are horrible and are to big for me.

Worst experience ever. I got all my teeth pulled and full set of dentures and the dentures never fit right.i went back twice to get them adjusted and still don't fit right. Why would any place that makes dentures refuse to make it right if they are made wrong I would never recommend them for dentures!

Only go here if you have no other choice! You stand in line all day and they see how fast they can see you and how many they can see each day! The lady at the front desk is awful! Time to retire!

Went there to have a tooth pulled that had been causing severe pain for 4 days. My gums were already very tender. The dentist stuck the needle into my gums to numb it. Natural reaction caused me to flinch moving my head. The dentist was very rude and said he would not work on me and that I needed to go to a different dentist. I never touched him or the syringe but he told the nurses I knocked the it from his hand.

I have had work done at other dental offices and they have always rubbed novocaine on my gums before sticking a needle in them. He was very unprofessional and had no care for the pain I was already in.

I only give this place two stars because of how organized they are product wise half star at most. Hopefully they make dentures better than they do Partials mine is way too big and bulky for my mouth. The lady showed me three sets of teeth on a piece of like cardboard and said this is what you have to choose from I said what's the difference the lady said $290,$305,a nd $320.

I told her I already have a denture she said let me see I showed her so she said I can only get the 290 or the 305 then because of the color. When I went into the room to get wax fitted I seen a flyer on the wall for flexible partials not this glob of crap they gave me. When I went back in for fitting the lady tried telling me that I'm gonna need adhesive for a damn partial which has two hooks.

I told her it doesn't fit properly and the stupid woman said you have to get used to it. After you pay and you come back to get your product you're just a number that they wanna push in and out the door. I have been dealing with partials and a denture for a while and it shouldn't feel like a glob of shit that's too big for your mouth and digging in to your gums because it's too big. They do not take the time to get the proper fit because they want to rush you out of there they Already have your money and it says no refunds.

I really was pleased with my experience at Sexton Dental. I went in with the intent of getting a one day resin partial and they talked me into to changing over to a cast one. That was three years ago and it is perfect and fits so well I don't even know it's there. The doctors and staff were professional and found them very knowledgeable and caring.

I had my expectations that it would be less than easy but was pleasantly surprised. If you go in recognizing it is a efficient dental clinic that emphasizes a specific range and approach, you won't be disappointed.

I was having major dental problems. Years of neglect with the lack of dental insurance left me with a mouthful of chipped, cracked, and missing teeth. I was so self conscious about my smile that I would not leave the house except to go to work. My smile has always been my greatest feature. Now I was so ashamed. I knew from the start that the dental work that I needed done wasn't going to be cheap.

I started putting money into my savings account each week. After several months I had managed to save up $1,100. I was on vacation from my job the week of July 4th. Monday July 5, 2021 was my scheduled appointment at Sexton Dental. I must admit that I was sceptical of my visit with Sexton. After reading some of the reviews from former patients I wondered if I should just keep saving my money and make an appointment with Affordable Dentures here in my home town.

After reading the reviews of Sexton Dental patients who were pleased with their experience and happy with their smile I said what the heck. ANYTHING is better than the way I look now. I left for Sexton Dental Clinic at 2:30 a.m. Sunday July 4. I arrived at 5:30 a.m. Monday July 5. Right from the start I knew that I had made the right decision in coming here.

Everything was done in an orderly fashion, everything was explained to me in great detail, all staff members were kind and caring. The dentist was awesome! He quickly removed my bad teeth with absolutely zero pain. I brought $1,100 with me and left with over half of that still in my purse. You simply cannot beat their prices. Last but not least, I believe that my worst fear was getting a plate that was to big or to loose for my mouth or they just didn't look real or natural.

My fears were relieved when they put my plate in and it was absolutely PERFECT: I would recommend Sexton Dental to anyone needing dental work. I can't Thank You enough for giving me my smile back!

Update to add- literally 1 week later I get an email with prices. No call back. No formalities or apologies. Just straight to the point I could tell they really cared. *insert sarcasm* I can confidently say that if you have an emergency and are in pain, don't bother trying Sexton. They don't care.

I pulled in the parking lot at 5:50 am. There was already a line of 20 or so people. My head said drive on off, I should have listened. One other review said something about being treated like cattle. That was definitely my experience. The "Dentist" later identified as Dr. Scott never even introduced himself to me. I know his name only because of the pain med subscription I found in my packet of gauze after the ambulance ride to the local ER to get the bleeding stopped.

It is cheap compared to a real dentist and if that's all you can afford go for it. Be prepared for plenty of pain. If the least bit of a problem arises, they will dump you off to the ER or threaten to refer you to an oral surgeon. Although when the "Dentist" ripped my teeth out causing a massive bleed, they tried referring me to an oral surgeon and none would take the referral.

The ER staff told me that I was not the only case that they sent to the ER. I was most fortunate to have been covered by good insurance or it certainly would have been cheaper to go to a real dentist.

I never leave a review until I think it's absolutely necessary. I have been trying to get my boyfriend in to have a root canal and replacement. We have already seen a dentist and had xrays. He slipped and fell into a pool BUSTING HIS FRONT TOOTH. He has been in immense pain since. Immediately when you call you get a ring back message that they are experiencing a high volume of calls and have to leave a message.

I have left MANY. I had one message returned and was told I would have to schedule two appointments five weeks apart, I asked if I could call him for days and call right back to schedule, and she said absolutely. I called back, had to leave a message. Called again a couple hours later, left a message. Called every morning or so, had to leave a fucking message.

Not a single call since has been returned. If I have to pay up front and then have insurance reimburse me, you'd think their office would be a little more accommodating. Service is trash. Customer service is a joke. High volume of calls my ass. Maybe if you answered the damn phone you wouldn't be playing as much catch up. Listen to the reviews. This office is absolute trash.

This place herds people in like cows and are the rudest bunch of people I have ever seen. I came in and had extractions and they made me an upper and lower denture. The upper fit perfect. The lower is huge I look like the donkey from shrek with them in my mouth. I called they said let it heal and wait on the stitches to come out so I waited. Then I called yesterday and told them I was coming today and they said good and I ask what I would need to pay and they told me nothing.

So I drive the almost 4 hours and sit here 3 hours to be told my 90 days expired yesterday and they want me to pay again. Take your money elsewhere somewhere you will be treated with decency and not like a pain in the ass to them because your here. Shameful!

Unfortunately I cannot give 0 stars. I would recommend Aspen Dental since they do give new patients a free X-ray and an actual exam and actually explained to me what all of my problems we're. Aspen Dental also took 18 x-rays with different positions of my mouth. When the "doctor" came into the room, he never introduced himself to me, did not ask me why I was there, and simply told me that they could not remove a broken wisdom tooth.

He told me that I would need to go to an oral surgeon but that he would ask another doctor. He then came back into room, again did not look at me and told me that I would have to go to an oral surgeon. The assistant came in and gave me a general referral for me to go to whoever I choose. They did not talk to me about anyone that they would recommend. I could not even tell you if I was seen by an actual dentist.

I saw the reviews and made sure to be here early to keep the wait as minimal as possible. I got here at 3:30am to be the first one in the door. They pulled 4 of my mother's teeth and BEWARE OF THE SHORT FAT DOCTOR. I've seen the reviews about it and it's all true. He broke a piece of my mother's tooth in her jaw and kept man handling her around and she is so soar from him probing her jaw.

They pulled her back and had her back for X-rays by 6:30. Then had to wait for 7 to do the extractions. Everything was done by 8-8:30 for the teeth extraction and she is getting a 2 new partial plates. IT DOESN'T MATTER IF YOUR FIRST OR LAST IN LINE. At 12:30 they tell you to come back to pick up your teeth. Coming back at 12:30 just means your in line for your teeth.

So now it's 2:37 and the lobby is halfway gone and I ask if anyone can check on my mother's plates, and I'm told it doesn't matter what place we were in line that when they're done they're done. They won't check or get up or anything. They are saying that they don't close until everyone leaves but REALLY?!? Finally my mother gets called back at 3:39 and we were finished DEAD LAST.

Reason being is because they were calling the wrong name so they put hers to the very end. If they would have just checked like o had asked we wouldn't have been moved to the end. Great customer service. The only good thing was the price. Rude receptionist, rude dentist, people calling the wrong names, and the funniest thing is that they acknowledge that they had shitty customer service but they don't care.

I feel bad for people without insurance that drive so many miles for such horrible treatment. We drove an hour and a half and sat in the lobby for 10 hours. It's not 4:04pm and my mother is still with the dentist for her partial plates because her plates don't fit.

I really like Sexton Dental Clinic because they will get you in pretty quickly. When We arrived there I just had to wait 2 mins. till they called me back. I just got 3 root canals today and temporary ones on, in 3 weeks I'll set my crowns back. Dr. Terry was very nice and tells you what he is going to do before he does it. You do have to pay that day for all work to be done. Everyone was very friendly too. I'll give it a 5 out of 5 rating.

NOT as affordable as you think BEWARE bait you in (no refund policy) Bottom line price will probably be a lot more than expected Better Business Bureau informed me that they can charge what ever they feel is fair for there product or services There Ethics and Integrity you might question!

I went to Sexton Dental in Florence SC to save money. I made an appointment and after a hotel room and gas it was not that big a savings. There's an old saying, "If it sounds to good to be true it is". We arrived at 6:00 a.m. and stayed until 5:15. Don't know why you make an appointment because there were at least 500 people run thru there daily.

It was a mad house. My wife and I were not able to eat all day and if she left to eat I would be charged an additional $200 for every 15 minutes they waited on her to get back. When I tried in my lower dentures I couldn't tell if they fit right or not due to my mouth being numb and after I got home I had to take a dremel tool and grind it to fit. This place is only there for the money and is very unorganized with shoddy work. I sure wish I had paid the extra money and got quality work done. I won't be back.

I am currently sitting in the waiting room writing this which hopefully proves just how serious I am about it. My mother came in for dentures. She is hard of hearing, so I tend to stick by her side to repeat what others say. Of course, they wouldn't let me stand in line with her. That is fine AS LONG AS people are understanding and compassionate with her. Well, Elaine, the receptionist was not.

She was rude and condescending to not only my mother, but the majority of people who came through the line. While sitting in the waiting room, I overheard Dr. Scott talk down to an elderly man and walk away from him because he said he couldn't understand him. So rude! Next, I walked back with my mother(again, because she can't hear) only to be reprimanded by a doctor.

When I tried to explain, he completely dismissed what I was saying. The nurse that came out literally put her hand and another lady's face as she was trying to explain why we were back there with our mothers. If you can help it, go somewhere else. These people desperately need to have a workshop in customer service. If not, they need to retire or find other employment. It was absolutely ridiculous!

Their work is top notch, and their prices can not be touched! Their Staff however needs to have a Sensitivity Course! They rather turn down people that traveled 400 miles than treat them because they want to close early for a Christmas Party! Really!?! They are closed on weekends why not have the party then?

We drove to Sexton for extractions and partial dentures quoted $1,340. Prior to arriving to the clinic a restroom break was desperately needed. We didn't see a gas station open finally from a distance there was a CVS. The escort was happy the line wasn't extremely long 11 couples ahead of us at 4:30 a.m. The sign said they open at 6:00 door attendant came to let us in at 6:07 a.m.

There were at least 40 couples behind us. People will try to walk in front of you be aware of your surroundings. We made an appointment with sedation thinking it would be quicker. The attendant told us it is an all day process visible signs in the bathroom stating the same. Please prepare for to see opening and closing. We packed a shopping bag with snacks.

I would suggest packing a breakfast treat, snack, and maybe a non perishable sandwich. The vending machines were stocked for the escort only yogurt for a patient. The first procedure was the X-ray didn't take long. We were given a packet of information to fill out 8 sheets. The paperwork and the wait was an hour. Then, the patient went up for sedation escort was asked to wait.

One hour later the patient came back. We had to wait two hours then the consultation with Dr. Clark. Dr. Clark is very caring was not rude to us straight to the point. If you cannot handle the truth save the negative reviews. Patient headed upstairs for surgery. Finally, the surgery was over at 12:30 p.m. We waited a little at 1:06 p.m. patient came back from dental impressions.

The only annoying part of the process is knowing you will be billed $200 per 15 minutes for leaving the patient. We left at 4:50 p.m. Thank you Sexton Dental what a transformation and we will return! The flippers are really nice. We paid less than the quote because one tooth was easy to remove. Last, stay off your phone it might expedite the process for others. We watched so many of the staff members trying to track down dental patients. The staff does not have visible badges on walkies like the staff at Target.
