Before Regents, I hadn't seen a dentist in an unspeakably long time. Everyone at this office was pleasant, from the front desk staff to the hygienist and the busy dentist himself. I never once felt shamed for not having a dental check up in years and was only given kind, supportive words and encouragement to come in more often. Dentists in the USA can unfortunately be very hit-or-miss, with some offices existing only to upsell and scam patients.
This is not one of those offices - all prices were clearly stated and nothing was offered that was unreasonably priced or unnecessary. If you're looking for a dentist you can trust, I recommend Regents.

Our family has been seeing Dr Lockwood since 1991. Going to the dentist is not everyone's favorite wish, but I always liked seeing the entire team at Regents Dental. They all feel like family now. I never considered seeing another dentist but I did see Dr Eskeland the last two trips for caps and I didn't think there could be another Dentist as qualified and as nice as Dr Lockwood but I was wrong. I feel no mater which dentist is available for my dental needs now I would be very happy.

I have Abi, my hygienist, today who was so gentle and made me so comfortable as I got my teeth cleaned - which I do feel so clean! I also got to meet Dr. Carillo, the periodontist, who examined me thoroughly and explained to me the importance of needing a graft. I'm no longer scared of getting a gum graft!

Dr. Lockwood and the hygienist Anna are the best I've ever had. Anna was so gentle it's like she has angel hands. Dr. Lockwood was very knowledgeable and cared about my teeth. I have bad teeth grinding problem, instead of telling me to just wear a night guard like every other dentist did, he checked my bite and said there's tension, and offered to adjust my bite and also the night guard I currently have. They care!

I started there about 5 years ago when Dr. Lockwood saved my adult son's teeth, after another dentist had recommended taking out 6 of them due to some damage and replacing with implants. Dr. Lockwood's goal is to preserve teeth, not recommend needless services. The staff and professionals, from dentist to hygienist to receptionist are consistently pleasant, friendly, efficient and give excellent service. Best dental office my family ever used.

For the past ten years me and my family have been coming to Regents Dental group, and it's amazing to be in the hands of so caring, professional and wonderful people. The service and caring for our well-being is outstanding. With both my parents suffering from gum disease and loosing their teeth in their early forties, I was sure I was going to suffer the same fate, but with the monitoring and caring at Regents Dental, I still have healthy gums at 49.

I have been going to this same dentist for 20 years, even when I moved to Arizona, I would come back to San Diego for my dental treatments! I am back living in San Diego so the trip to this dentist is much easier! This is the best dental office I have ever gone to! Several years ago, This dentist saved a tooth that I would have otherwise lost! He is patient, gentle and through!

I am the type of person who puts off getting their wisdom teeth taken out until the very last second. I am 22 years old, and it came time for me to put on my big girl pants and get them removed. I called multiple dentists around the La Jolla area and Regents Dental Group seemed to outshine all of the others! I made an appointment and was able to schedule to get them out in a few weeks.
My insurance covered the entire procedure besides the $285 oral sedation pill I undoubtedly needed due to my anxiety. The procedure was very quick and painless. This place is definitely going to be my new regular dentistry!

The front desk folks were pleasant and welcoming, Kenny, my hygienist was gentle but thorough. Everyone was interested in making sure my needs were met. They have amazing imaging equipment, and the office ambience was attractive and calming. I'm actually looking forward to going back for my next checkup!

Everyone there was really sweet and kind. I felt very welcomed. I also felt very comfortable with all of the safety measures the staff took. Everyone was masked, the equipment was sanitized, safety glasses were provided and the hygienist wore a face shield in addition to a mask during my cleaning. I feel like they take everyone's safety very seriously there.

I've been to Regents Dental on three separate visits now, including a trip to have a crown installed. The entire team here is excellent at what they do and make you feel welcome and comfortable. They take the time to answer your questions thoroughly and did great work, my mouth is a much happier place now. Dr. Eskeland was my dentist for a long time growing up. Unfortunately, there was a few years (due to insurance) that I had to use a different Dentist. Now I am seeing him again and couldn't be happier. Not only do they do incredible dental work but you don't feel a thing. The hygienists and staff are super friendly and knowledgeable as well. From routine cleanings to fillings and veneers, Regents Dental is the place to go!

I had to go in for an emergency appointment for a toothache. I was seen the same day that I called within the hour. My problem was diagnosed and treated promptly by the dentist. If I could give them 100 stars, I would! Had the most excruciating tooth pain and they were able to accommodate me, on a Saturday! I called at 9:30am asking if they provided emergency dental care, and was scheduled at noon. Dr. Lockwood and team were incredibly skilled, kind, and made me feel safe, as I did not know what was going on w my tooth. HIGHLY recommended! THANK YOU Dr. Lockwood and Regents Dental Group!

My mom doesn't have a Yelp account, so this is a review based on our mutual experience of her care at Regents Dental Group. Once again, the experience from start (making the appointment) to finish (checking out), was flawless. I was semi-concerned about price because my mom's last appointment with a different dental group left a list of outstanding items that my mom 'had' to have done. Turns out, Regents Dental had a different perspective of what it would take to keep my mom's mouth at optimal dental health and she did ***not*** have to have a huge list of expensive work done. I always found Dr. E and this team to be realistic and fair in their diagnosis and treatment planning. Now I have seen the same level of care shared with my mom. Thank you!

Dr. Lockwood and his staff are terrific. Everyone is very friendly and competent. Dr. Lockwood is not only a good dentist but also will listen to you and understands If you need a little extra TLC. He is warm and really cares about you as a person. I have had both major and minor work done by him over the years and have always been happy with the results! My smile is much more beautiful thanks to Dr. Lockwood's great work :-.
