Dr. Stephen J Gordon

Dr Gordon explains everything thoroughly, gives you an in depth look at what everything will cost in a free consultation, and allows you to make your own decisions which is really rare in my experience. They've always been on time and the people at the front desk are very polite as well!

My husband and I were treated between 2018 and 2019. I would not recommend this dentist. I wrote a more detailed review before this and was contacted by Dr. Gordon and told that I should immediately correct inaccuracies and give him five stars.

Friendly staff, skilled hygienists, knowledgeable doctor. My teeth always feel clean and smooth after a visit.

We took our then 18 month old to Dr Gordon in July 2018. We had just discovered his teeth were in rough shape due to his lip tie trapping milk during nighttime feedings. So cavities galore, and our local dentist in Michigan recommended the filling stuff that would basically give his teeth black spots where it set (silver something or other?) Anyways, we were recommended to Dr Gordon and he was able to provide ozone treatment at the time.

Fast forward 3 1/2 years, and his teeth have been cavity free since, and he never had to be the kid with weird black spots on his teeth (and let's face it, he would've been given grief by other kids for it). His baby teeth are getting close to falling out, and a trip to our local dentist just made the wife and I reminisce about how we had to drive 3 hours to get our son's teeth treated.

Just wanted to say thank you again to Dr Gordon, his team, and his treatment that allowed our kid to not have a blemish in his smile and for helping his teeth last. Thank you, thank you.

Great dental office. Caring, skilled professionals with state of the art equipment. I highly recommend Dr. Gordon.

They're so good we keep going back. At least more than 5 yrs. My wife and two kids. The staff is professional. And you know you're surrounded by individuals that will provide proper dental healthcare, -And know what they're doing. The only pain you'll ever really feel is "the little pinch". We don't just go when we have to. We also see the hygienist twice yearly to prevent any gum disease then Dr. Gordon checks to see if there's anything that needs to be addressed. It's a win win

Don't believe the bad reviews! I have feared dentists my whole life because I was born with weak teeth. Lots of procedures! Dr. Gordon and his amazing staff are kind, gentle and make your appointment feel like you're just going to visit old friends. He also refers you to the best of the best. His words, "I will only refer you to a specialist that I would refer my family to". He's terrific. When COVID calms down, I'll be heading back to see my "old friends".

I switched to Dr Gordon's office as my dental hygienist (Delia - who is great!) started working here and my insurance said it was in network. After my visit I received a bill stating that it was not in network, I contacted the office via email and phone several times without someone getting back to me. During my visit, they took pictures, which is what my bill was for I believe, and I never saw those pictures.

I have never had to pay a dental office for anything since I got my new employer insurance plan 6 years prior, so I thought it was strange. I just paid eventually and did not make further fuss or schedule an appt for cavity filling. In the office, the dentist, who was nice and seem intelligent and knew what he was doing, told me I had 7 cavities which was an absurd amount bc I was going to the dentist every 6 months, use an electric toothbrush, waterpick and floss daily!

I had to get a second opinion! Just got around to it 1.5 years later. Second opinion said I had 2 (understandable since I hadn't gone to dentist in 1.5 years) significantly less than 7. Do not trust this office, they just want your money. Everyone was nice and professional in the office, good customer service and all but when it came to billing it was really shady. I am sad to not see Delia anymore but have found another dental office that I trust, who is transparent with my bill and costs before any service is performed.

Delia is absolutely the BEST dental hygienist ever! She provides excellent service and is highly knowledgeable. She takes the time to thoroughly educate her patients regarding the importance of oral hygiene and goes above and beyond. She has many years of experience and knows what she is doing! Dr. Gordon is a great dentist! He is very personable and intelligent.

He takes the time to educate his patients as well. He is up to date and highly knowledgeable in the field! The practice is located in a beautiful suite across Millennium Park, so you get a stunning view of the city and lake while you're there!

I've been seeing Dr. Gordon for years and there's no better dentist in the city. He's caring, has a kind bedside manner, attentive, and always up-to-date on the latest in the dental industry. More than anything, he's committed to doing minimally invasive work. Sherry, his longtime receptionist, is competent and makes sure payment information and appointments are always confirmed. And, to boot, his office is beautiful and has the most stunning views!
