Dr Stephenson is a great dentist and person. His staff show a high level of empathy for their patients and are very acommodating and friendly.

Don't come here, especially if you're a college student like me. First time I visited them they were nice and reasonable, but the second time they basically scammed me. On the phone they told me I was due for my teeth cleaning and that it would be less than $100, so I made an appointment. The cleaning was fine and the lady was nice. The catch is that I got charged an extra 70 bucks for an "exam" I didn't ask for, nor did they disclose with me.

The "exam" was just the main doctor looking at my teeth for 30 seconds and saying "your teeth are straight! Good job." When I went to pay at the counter, my jaw literally dropped. I had to pay almost $200. Definitely some sort of a scam, and I will not be coming back here.

Dr. Stephenson provides competent dentistry performed with compassion, and is peer esteemed. After completing a procedure on me, Dr. Stephenson personally called me at home to see how I was feeling. I'm satisfied with his practice, and I recommend him to anyone looking.

The dentist told me I had to get a filling for a cavity that I didn't feel or suffered from. I trusted him and did the filling. Ever since my tooth hurts. Now it's been three years. It turns out the filling caused me pulpits and now I need to do a root canal. I feel cheated.

I recently moved to the Eugene area and finding new everything can be a challenge. I started having pain in one of my older dental implants and after researching a bit, called Dr. Stephenson's office. The individual (sorry I didn't catch the name) was so kind and helpful! They worked me into the doctors schedule same day. I walked into the office and everyone was friendly and kind.

They took x-rays and found the problem. Unfortunately Dr. Stephenson wasn't able to fix it but after a detailed, easy to understand explanation, he did refer me to an oral surgeon. His staff worked hard to get me into one as soon as possible. I will be returning to Dr. Stephenson's office for my regular card and will get my family in as well.

Dr. Stephenson and his staff are the best. They work well as a team and you can trust that your dental treatment will be painless and thorough. You won't regret choosing this office for your whole family.

I asked for a composite filling on one tooth and for a gap to be fixed between two other teeth. I was quoted for a composite (tooth colored) filling on the tooth that needed a filling, however, during my visit, I received an amalgam (silver) filling. This came as a surprise to me when I got home and looked at the fillings. Not once during the appointment, that I was awake and fully alert for, was I notified of this change or asked for my approval of it.

I consulted with another dentist and it was determined that the amalgam filling as not necessary and a different method could have been used, which Dr Stephenson said it was the only method he was comfortable with doing. For the teeth that I asked for the gap to be filled between them, nothing was done with the gap. Instead, the buccal (cheek) side was "filled"?

The entire buccal side felt like it had been replaced by the composite filling which was also not discussed. Luckily, I have job shadowed dentists and wanted to go into the dental field at one point in my life and knew what to look for and examine the fillings. I was shocked by this malpractice and will never be going back to this dentist practice.

Be careful of your procedures and make sure to advocate for yourself if you choose to go to this dentist. Ask questions and make sure what you want to be done is being done properly.

Great service, nice staff on the phone and off. Dr S. Listens to you and even called me himself twice to check up on me. Paid over $3000 less with him. Will continue to work with him and would highly recommend.

High quality dental services with excellent patient support. Dr. Stephenson is extremely helpful and always provides detailed explanations of what's going on. The dental hygienist are awesome and always provide quick and thorough cleanings. I highly recommend.

Dr. Stephens is great with my 13 year old daughter. He is very patient, friendly, thoroughly answers and explains all questions and procedures. He takes his time to ask questions and listens carefully to areas of concern. Both my daughter and I felt very welcomed by him and his staff. They are all so nice!

There are so many reasons why I love this dentist! I'd been going to Gentle Dental for a while and they constantly overcharged me for services. Every time I'd get something done by them, I'd receive a check a couple weeks later for the amount they over charged me. At this office, there has never been any type of issue like that. No issues with overcharging or insurance errors, nothing.

Everyone is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They completed my paperwork for the Peace Corps without any issues. I've been coming here for almost 2 years now and I've gotten my whole family to join as well! We all LOVE it here!

Great first-time experience with Dr. Stephenson and his staff! I'm new to Eugene and was looking for a new dentist, and just chose here from the online reviews. I had an initial appoint to get my X-rays updated and to meet Dr. Stephenson, who gave me a thorough exam and explanation of what he was seeing. In my followup cleaning, Trisha did a great job and made the experience as relaxing as I've ever had a teeth cleaning be.

I have been with the Dr Robert Stephenson for over 2 decades for several reasons. Their professionalism, Dr. Bob's precise attention to detail and thorough dentistry gives confidence that the right procedure is being recommended. His staff has been with him a long time which speaks to his through training and supervision. I have recommended him to many patients over the years.

I felt immediately comfortable with the staff at Dr. Stephenson's office, and confirmed that impression when I met the doctor himself. I've worked in the dental industry for more than thirty years, so know a good team when I see one. I understand that most of his team has been with him for many years; and that speaks volumes about the character, integrity and skill of Dr. Stephenson, as well as to the ability of his team to function as a cohesive unit.

I have been going to Dr. Stephenson for 4 years now (I lived in Washington before then) and am continually impressed with the quality of work, knowledge, and friendliness and caring of the doctor and staff. Everyone makes an effort to get to know me, and I really appreciate that each time I go, I have the same hygienist (Kristen). It's like having catch up time with an old friend! I highly recommend them and am so glad someone recommended them to me!

My overall experience was great. I am usually a very anxious dental patient. Dr. Stephenson and all of his staff were professional and pleasant and I felt comfortable and well cared for. I highly recommend Dr. Stephenson as a dentist who puts his patients at ease and is exceptionally proficient.

I've been getting my teeth cleaned here for about a year and I really like this place. The employees really know what they're doing and they are experts at cleaning my teeth and giving me good feedback on what I need to do differently. I feel they are priced about right and the dentist is extremely friendly and nice. I enjoy having a TV to watch my favorite show while I'm getting my teeth cleaned! Even if I move to another town 50 miles away I would still want to come here to get my teeth taken care of.

I saw a dentist for the first time in three years today. Dr. Stephenson's staff was friendly and welcoming when I arrived. I completed my paperwork and was promptly taken back for my exam and cleaning. The hygienist (I forgot her name, but she was so kind) told me a little about the practice and didn't make the conversation awkward. It was like she acknowledged that it was going to be a one way conversation, and was just trying to make me comfortable.

When Dr. Stephenson came to check me out, he did a great job of explaining what was going on with my teeth and gave me suggestions on how to correct it. The best part, I was never lectured about my lack of attendance to any dentist over thr past 3 years or anything else. I was just provided education, so that i can make the best decision for me. I was extremely happy with everyone at this office from the minute I arrived to the minute I left. I even scheduled my next appointment on the way out, and that never happens.

Love this office! The front staff are friendly and helpful, the dental hygienist is awesome and does an amazing job cleaning my teeth, and Dr. Stephenson is a down-to-earth, extremely knowledgeable guy - totally trust him! In addition, the interior of the building is warm and inviting. They have coffee and a TV you can look at while getting your teeth worked on. A+++

I called Dr. Stephenson's office several months ago when my wife had an appointment at Aspen Dental and was treated badly. At Aspen, some equipment broke and they sent her home with the job uncompleted and with extra pain medication. When I called, Dr. Stephenson's office showed compassion and even tried to get my wife in that day. My wife decided against it because of the hassle of getting records moved.

So she stayed at Aspen for another few months thinking this is what dentist offices are like. Finally, after another complaint I asked her, "Have you tried Dr. Stephenson's office yet?" and urged her to call. We couldn't be more happy. All of our kids had appointments in the last week and even they loved it there. Highly recommend them!
