After considerable Google research for a dentist in the Sunnyvale, Garland, Mesquite area, I chose Dr. Luna and Stone Canyon Dental. My choice was based on longevity of practice in the area, positive reviews and notable lack of negative reviews, transparency (they publish their price list), a practice sponsored dental insurance plan, and it's a doctor owned practice.
My first encounter was with Marisa who was courteous and helpful in listening to my needs and planning my initial visit accordingly. At my first appointment, Jennifer attentively listened to my dental history and gently took all x-rays and photos. Dr. Luna was cordial and professional during my examination and gave me what I believe to be an honest evaluation, which fortunately for me turned out to just be a cleaning as I haven't had one in the last couple of years.
And because Jennifer was engaged and aware, she advised I could actually get the cleaning later the same due to a cancellation they had just received. So I returned later in the day, was promptly greeted by the hygienist, and the cleaning was timely and painless. And lastly, they have a really nice office. All in all, a good day.

Yesterday was my first visit to this office. Everyone was so helpful and made me feel at ease. My hygienist was Conner and she did an excellent job working on my teeth. Very gentle and thorough. Dr Ranna came in to review my checkup and go over treatment. I enjoyed talking with Dr Ranna about the priority of the work that I need to have done. I cant say I look forward to going back since I have a dental phobia but with this team it makes it less stressful.

Went for a check-up -- great folks. Kathy took tremendous care of me. Dr. Luna spent a great amount of time. Got a good report -- nothing else needed. How often does that happen? Honest folks helping people. Sent my wife later with more of an "emergency" situation as she was in pain -- got her right in. She absolute HATES the dentist but came away liking Dr. Luna and his team. She's committed to doing what he's asked her to do. Highly recommend.
