Dr Johnson is awesome really. My wife has been going to him for a while & she loves him as well! He's an awesome guy & really kind! We would continue to go there if it wasn't for his employees. The receptionist is horrible. I called in to cancel our appointment & she was just incredibly rude the instant she answered. Automatic attitude. I can't recall her name, it may have been Tanya but I'm not sure.
I told her my wife forgot to cancel before the weekend so I apologized for calling the day of our apt (Monday morn) & she hit me with a "hmmm" with a lot of disbelief in it. The conversation proceeded and she just continued to worsen her behavior. I was astounded with how impolite and rude she was. She then told me she was going to try and fee me 100$ for the appointments when no where ever did it state there was a cancellation fee in a certain amount of time.
I questioned her about this and she was immediately agitated. She told me after covid they've been "much more lax on letting their customers know" and I told her well you should've let me know? Because no one has told me this, I had no knowledge. She was then even more upset and then began to raise her voice "fine! I'll just cancel it. Bye!" and she hung up.
I really do not understand why she was so upset, I get that canceling is an inconvenience, my wife and I both work by appointment only with clientele and know how it is, but it happens sometimes she did not have to act the way she did, try to lie about a fee and then yell and hang up on me. I don't know, people like that shouldn't be the face of your company. We will not be returning to Dr Johnson although he is amazing himself.

Dr. Johnson is great, but Sylvia is rude, dishonest and the reason we are not coming back. She "forgets to bill the insurance" and can't tell you what the charges on your account are for. When questioned, the amounts suddenly and randomly change. They constantly change your appointment time without notice and then do not inform you of the change. Dr Johnson needs to take a closer look at what is happening and ask his patients for feedback on his office. In Utah, dentists are like Mormon churches, there is one on every corner. I strongly recommend you try anyone besides them.

As always, my experience was good. I had to have a cavity filled in the very back of my mouth. Dr Johnson explained what he was doing as he was doing it. Always made sure I was ok, did I need to let my jaw rest for a minute etc. He is one of the best dentists I have ever been to. His staff are friendly and courteous.

Always a good experience. I needed a bridge of 20+ years replaced and Dr. Johnson and his assistant did an excellent job from start to finish of the whole procedure to remove the old bridge, prep for the new bridge and fitting me a temporary acrylic bridge until the new bridge is ready. It is so wonderful to deal with a professional caring dental practice and excellent dentistry [Dr. Johnson] rather than the corporate dental milieu that has come into our current culture. Dr. Johnson is professional, personable, caring and constantly checks in with the patient for comfort and information while doing even the most intricate procedure or basic check during a routine visit. We can't say enough good things about the whole office, Dr. Johnson and the professional way they take care of our dental needs.
