Dr. Tony Dioguardi graduated magna cum laude from SUNY at Buffalo in 1979. He received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from UCONN Health Center School of Medicine and Dentistry in 1983, receiving honors in the field of Oral Pathology. Obstructive sleep apnea is a condition in which the flow of air pauses or decreases during breathing while you are asleep because the airway has become narrowed, blocked, or floppy. It's estimated that obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) currently affects more than 25 million people in the United States.
Our practice was the first in Connecticut to receive facility accreditation from the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (AADSM). Accredited facilities represent a small and an elite group of centers around the nation recognized for proficiency, professionalism and procedural excellence regarding the treatment of patients with sleep apnea and sleep-disordered breathing. The AADSM is the only non-profit national professional society dedicated exclusively to the practice of dental sleep medicine.
A growing treatment for the sleeping disorder known as sleep apnea is Oral Appliance Therapy. Fabricated by a qualified dentist with experience in sleep disorders, this treatment has been used for years as a successful treatment for snoring and some forms of sleep apnea. In recent years, oral appliance therapy has grown dramatically in popularity, particularly in the United States, and is seen as a welcome alternative to the positive airway pressure, or PAP treatment. The Oral Appliance Therapy treatment involves the use of a sleep apnea dental appliance, usually in the form of a specialized mouthpiece.

Excellent experience. Was fitted for an oral device for sleep apnea to replace CPAP machine. Recent Yale sleep study indicates my device is working VERY well. Dr. D and his whole staff have made the process easy and best of all are alway accessible for questions. Highly recommend this practice.

I've been seeing Dr. Dioguardi for a number of years now and each visit is always pleasant and professional. Dr. Dioguardi is very attentive to detail and makes sure you are well taken care of, comfortable, and that and the procedure goes seamlessly and perfect. His staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, and he's even been flexible enough to fit me into his busy schedule at last minute on a number of occasions.

When I was younger I chipped my tooth on my trampoline. My parents rushed me to my dentist at the time in order to get it fixed. Unfortunately that doctor didn't do the best job and for many years I had to live with a grey front tooth that was quite noticeable and made me self conscious. Just recently Dr. Dioguardi was able to perform an incredible procedure in order to fix this grey tooth.

Not only was he able to completely remove the grey that was left from the dead tooth but also create a new one that perfectly matches my other front tooth. And he did all of this without having to resort to expensive crowns. I am now able to smile with complete confidence, and even many months later it still looks amazing and it will continue to for many years. Dr. Dioguardi is a true expert at his craft and will make sure you go home happy and with an incredible smile.

I'm in so much gratitude to Tony's abilities as a healer and his innate abilities that make him not only an excellent dentist, but someone I can close my eyes and put my entire faith in when I'm in that chair. Dentist visits previously was something I absolutely dreaded. I've never experienced that trust before with any doctor. With Tony you are in the hands of a world class dentist and has your best interest in mind. That's worth it's weight in gold! Jeff Pevar - NY Blues Hall Of Fame Guitarist

They send you to other places to do extractions and other things. Plus they are very very over price it for the work that they do, last year they did one quadrant cleaning and she( assistant I guess)make me feel embarrassing because She was complaining all the time about my hygienic condition. I am 52 and I don't have any prosthetic just 2 cavity fix and I have miss only two 2nd.premolars, means that I take care my mouth.

The place have old equipment like from W.W.2, however He is a nice Doctor to diagnose (that why one star) but at the end, you feel like when you go to a dealer ship and they shake your hand and give you nice smile, but you know inside that you had been happily rip off. Just try and you' ll see. Good bye Dioguardi. and who read this please help with Google review, will help our community and remember you are part of it.

You know the feeling when you think - You are a quarter of the way done with the procedure and suddenly you hear "You are all done". Oh, and the best is that it is done right - fantastic experience, great environment, awesome staff, and fantastic choice of music. Thank you SO MUCH, Dr. Dioguardi
