At Miller Hill Dental, we provide a wide range of dental services in a state-of-the-art facility at 1832 Maple Grove Road, near the Miller Hill Mall in Duluth, MN. Our experienced, friendly team, led by dentist Dr. Kyle Hammer, offers a full range of services including everything from routine checkups and cleanings to same-day crowns. Since we opened in 1976, we have prided ourselves on providing quality, long-lasting dental work with a personal touch - customizing each patient's treatment plan to their needs and comfort level.

Dr. Kyle Hammer loves dentistry because it provides the daily opportunity to interact with people within his community. Dentistry combines Dr. Hammer's talent of art, problem solving ability and his inner desire to be an entrepreneur. Most importantly, he enjoys succeeding in these aspects in a fun-loving manner alongside his wonderful team of employees and patients.
Josie joined Miller Hill Dental in the summer of 2015. She loves interacting with patients over the phone as well as offering a warm welcome at the door. As our Appointment Coordinator Josie strives to find the perfect appointment time for each person based on their schedule needs. In her free time, she very much enjoys spending time with family and friends - most of all, her husband Mike and daughter Kahlea. She is currently attending Northwood Technical College with a major in Medical Administration and will be completing her program in Fall 2022.
At Miller Hill Dental, we strongly encourage regular checkups and cleanings for patients - as they greatly reduce the chance of small issues becoming large, costly repairs. Our number one goal is to provide quality, gentle care - and we tailor each appointment with the patient's comfort in mind. A clinical examination of your soft tissue including gums, throat, tongue, floor of the mouth, palate, cheeks, lymph nodes, chewing muscles, and TMJ.
A dental crown is a tooth-shaped "cap" that is placed over a tooth - to cover the tooth to restore its shape and size, strength, and improve its overall appearance. Crowns made of pure porcelain are the most natural-looking and recommended choice for visible teeth. They replace the exterior portion of a tooth to re-establish its original function and are designed to look like the original - or even better.

The staff here are wonderful. Josie greets you by name right when you walk in the door. When I have needed some dental work they were right away contacting my insurance to see what they would cover. Dr Kotter is very good about explaining things, he is gentle and friendly. My hygienist is exceptional. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I highly recommend Miller Hill Dental! I just started going there recently and have been very satisfied with my experience each time. Everyone there is very kind. I have had a cleaning, crown, and fillings. Dr. Kotter & Chelsey are a great team, as both are professional, courteous, and strive to make you feel comfortable and patiently answer all of your questions. He is a very gentle dentist. I have also recommended Miller Hill Dental to family & friends.

Best hygienist Trish, very gentle and kind. Dentist is great too. When you go there they know you by name, make you feel at home, very comfortable. I let everyone know what a wonderful place to go to for your dental needs! My whole family goes there, wouldn't go anywhere else! They are great with children to the elderly!

From the smiling, but masked, faces upon arrival to the expertly done cleaning of my teeth, the appointment was a great one! The meeting with my Dr. was very professional, but also on the light side, with a bit of personal interest. I would have given it more stars if I could have. I believe that I have found the best dentistry to fit my needs.

Best Dental Visit Ever! Upon being referred to Miller Hill Dental for my son's dental needs, the initial call scheduling a new patient appointment was beyond friendly and professional! Scheduling the appointment was made simple, to our arrival at the office. Immediately upon entering Miller Hill Dental, my son and I were greeted with kindness. Let's not forget to mention his amazing Dental Hygienist Kashmiere, was a pure delight, her kindness made my son comfortable and put his nerves at ease! I would highly recommend Miller Hill Dental!
