From the moment I made the phone call, I knew I made the right choice. The receptionist was so sweet. The staff was so welcoming. I can't praise the assistant enough for how patient & kind she was to my 5 year old. The dentist was absolutely great as well. Such a wonderful 1st experience for my little guy. So happy I chose them!

Des Moines Pediatric Dental Center was amazing to work with. They were able to see my son within a short time of us being referred. The staff were all very friendly and the procedure went fast. My son even had a smile on his face when they were all done. I would highly recommend them!

Staff was very pleasant and attentive. Explained everything wry clearly regarding my son's cleaning and x-rays. Made both of us very comfortable. Will definitely be using them as my son's regular dentist

I can't even begin to explain how grateful we have been for this practice and for Doctor Stevenson in particular. All the staff we've had the pleasure of interacting with have been warm, patient and genuinely interested in the best outcome for our child. Our daughter had a dental emergency and we couldn't any find emergency dentists that would work on kids. Dr. Stevenson was on call and helped give our kid the care she needed.

He has been so patient and understanding! He's been informative and completely honest about the outcome while still maintaining positivity and optimism. This injury has been so stressful for our daughter and scary for our whole family and Dr. Stevenson has been truly incredible. Other dentist have not only complimented his work, but have been impressed that he could even accomplish the work he's done. I don't know what we would have done if we hadn't found this practice. We're beyond grateful. They just care SO much.

I took my kids to Des Moines pediatric dental center for their regular checkup and we totally love the entire experience all of the doctors and staffs are very warm and friendly. My kids are already looking forward for their next appointment.

I do not recommend this practice. It feels like just a business to them and they do not truly care about their patients or making them feel comfortable. Our young son has dental issues and they rushed us through the process and the second visit for application of a sealant a dentist wasn't even present for a stressful process for a young child. In fact they missed covering a cavity on one tooth that luckily I found a week later and took him to a different dentist to fix. Will never return to this practice.

My Grandson had an appt. to have a crown put on at a different dental clinic. We drove 2 hrs.to get there and they told me they were referring him to Des Moines Pediatric. Des Moines Pediatric were so kind they got him in that afternoon. Everyone there were so kind and caring, they listened to my grandsons questions and explained things to him well.

They listened to our wishes and complied as asked. They explained in detail what was going to happen and made my child as comfortable as possible. They are soooo much better than the dentist that referred us (the children's "fun" dental center of central Iowa in urbandale on Hickman Rd.) to them. Given what was happening, my child was so much happier and more comfortable here and for that they deserve more than 5 stars!

I would honestly rate the other place lower if given a chance, but I tried and was unable to edit my review with the "children's fun dental center of central Iowa"-- who by the way no longer takes pediatric patients-- Worst experience with a children's dentist yet!

I love that I chose this dental center for my child. They are patient and very helpful in making it a great experience for my child. Thank you for also taking the time to get to know your patients!

My kids love going to the dentist. DMPD is the only place they have been. 3 boys 10, 8 and 5. They get excited to go. The dental assistance are extremely helpful and listen to any question or concern. I would never take them anywhere else. I have never had an issue.

Front desk staff is very friendly and helpful scheduling appointments for my son's crowns and fillings. Unfortunately my young child has a few cavities but the staff truly care about how we go about taking care of him and his smile. Getting a young child to sit for fillings is not for the weak and I'm so happy with the way the staff handle it. They respected when my son needed some breaks and worked quickly so that he wasn't overwhelmed for long.

My daughter had some work done on her teeth today. Once we left she asked me when she gets to go back They made it so fun and exciting for her

I wish I could rate this a 10 because they honestly deserve it. The staff is always friendly and super nice to my girls. They also explain things so well. Definitely recommend

I cannot give them enough praise. Every dentist should operate this way! Thank you does not seem enough for helping my daughter as quickly as they did! She told me in the car how nice everyone was and can't wait to go back They keep parents involved and show such care to the kiddos. Glad we made the switch!

You send out to many reminders and check-ins. I have two kids. My email and phone was blown up with everything you send. I had to reschedule my kids appointment. I had already checked them in. I was getting two to three reminders a day to check in. Mind you I had to do I twice for my kids. You kept wanting me to check them in. Then you call my kids. Told my daughter if she didn't check in. They would cancel her appointment. WHY did you call my kids. I'm the parent. You need to have the staff from Dr. Matt come back and show you how to run the office!

The staff are very patient with handling toddlers. It was my daughter's first time in the "big kid" chair (she previously sat in my lap for dentist appointments) and her first time getting her teeth cleaned with the cleaning machines. They showed her each step and let her "play" with the machines before she actually used them on her.

Update since my last review there have been good changes. my daughter had a tooth that needed extracted and I was able to go back n sit with her. the new dentist seems very caring and good at his job. the comforts this clinic gives to kids is improving. I have seen a huge change in staff as of recent where everyone is kind n smiling. there was about a year where they were all snarl faced clinical.they have since fixed that issue and smiles and kind tones all around. not everyone loves getting dental work. some are down right scared of it ESPECIALLY kids so it's great to know this clinic is doing everything they can to make it a good experience. my daughter has had good experiences here.

I appreciate the office reading my last review and actually caring enough to make the changes. all 3 of my girls have gone through this clinic over the years ages 27 20 n 12. good yo have a place to withstand time and grow n change with technology n processes.

Des Moines Pediatric Dental center has been a god send for our 7 year old son. He started at a regular dentist but had horrible experiences which resulted in a lot of anxiety. And the prior dentist didn't want to deal with it. We started to go to here when he was 4 years old and they are wonderful! He had to be put in a private room due to the anxiety but they worked with him a lot and made him much more comfortable at the dentist. Today he was able to be out of the private room and in a normal chair for the first time! The hygienists and dentist are amazing and so patient!

We have been coming since our son was2 very friendly. they are all about making sure your child is comfortable take time for your personal needs

The dental staff is very nice and the ladies are so Awesome. This was my 16 month old first time, the dental hygienist are always so nice and sweet. We have been taking our son here for more than a couple years now and he has ADHD, And let me say everyone is the best. The dental hygienist ladies are amazing and making sure he is comfortable with what they do.basically showing him what tools and explaining what they are doing. It helps make him not feel scared. Plus the Dentist is Great.

My kids love this place! Never imagine that taking my kids to the dentist it was gonna be an easy task but it's. This is such an amazing place with a great staff too

They are so friendly and patient. Both my kids have gone to them since they got their first teeth. They listen and always will to help and answer questions

Love love Dr. Chris and Desirea. after teying 2 other general dentists, and my daughter freaking out. these 2 made her so comfortable and relaxed. we were able to get things done finally. they are so great and calming with kids. we will be back for sure
