My son and I have been going to Dr. Barnes for a couple of years now, when my son outgrew pediatric dentistry and I felt like cattle being herded in the dental office I was going to. I was recommended to this small practice in Matthews. With state of the art equipment but where everybody knows your name. Fast forward to this week. I had issues with a tooth for about a month, finally gave in, called in and they got me in the next morning, less than 24 hours. Did X-rays, showed me the problem, fixed the problem right then and there and had me on my way within an hour. Amazing work, amazing customer service and as scared as I always am, they are always so kind (I know I am annoying). Highly recommend.

I just had my first appointment with Dr. Barnes and subsequently my second appointment was the next day. The staff that I met were kind, warm and professional.with excellent customer service. Every step of what I was to experience was explained in detail. Dr. Barnes was friendly, professional with a good sense of humor and he made sure that I was holding up during the procedure. At last, I think I can finally look forward to my twice yearly appointments.

Can't speak for the dental work as I walked out of the office. Got her early only to see a couple signs on the window. One sign reading that they are out of the office and will be back at 12:30p which is when my appointment starts. Second sign reads, masks must be worn. After waiting outside about 15min with my 5YO and another customer (who was complaining about the signs to her husband) we gather our stuff and go in only to be told they don't allow children in the office because they run around and "mess with dental tools".
What's irritating is lack of communication on the above issues by staff. I made appointments for myself, my wife and (ready for this) my 5YO son that I had just now canceled. Their solution was to have me wear a mask and leave my 5YO by himself in the lobby. Are you f*ucken nuts? Who would do that to their child. Far too many good options in town to deal with this dentistry for clowns

Best Dentist around who cares about his patients. I haven't been to this practice in a few years due to moving but, when I did call the staff worked me in the next day. Once I got to the office and seen Dr. Barnes he immediately worked me in for the whole day missing his break and all just to ensure that my procedure was completed. I really appreciate him and his staff for assisting me in my emergency.

I recently moved to NC from Boston and needed a dentist. Dr Barnes was referred to me by my daughter. I'm happy that she did. Dr. Barns is the most sincere; articulate and ethical dentist I have ever been to. And trust me when I tell you I have been through good and bad. He makes going to the dentist a no stress zone. With massage chairs and overhead tv. Dr Barns tells you like it is in terms that you can understand. I have no affiliations with this practice other than being a patient. If your looking for a dentist, Dr. Barnes is the one you want. OK enough said.

I have never received better service and care from a dentistry's office in my life. Dr. Barnes seems like a genuinely nice person who cares for his patients. Everyone in the office was friendly, welcoming, and very professional. My appointment was at 7:30 am on Valentine's Day - they even gave me a rose when I left. I highly recommend them to anyone searching for a new dentist office, especially if you are new to the area!
