Our team is dedicated to providing you with personalized care, which includes routine cleanings and exams, general dental procedures (fillings, crowns, etc.) as well as more complex restorative treatment as needed. Dentistry is an integral part of our patients overall health and we are proud to offer state-of-the-art technology and materials.
Kathy has been in dentistry for over 40 years! She was trained in San Francisco at the Dental Nurses College and she heads our front office reception. Kathy has specialized training in insurance and treatment financing and helps guide our patients care. Outside of the office she enjoys spending time with her family and grandchildren.
A comprehensive dental exam will be performed by Dr. Rosenthal or Anand at your initial dental visit. Examination of diagnostic x-rays (radiographs): essential for detection of decay, tumors, cysts, and bone loss. X-rays also help determine tooth and root positions. Oral cancer screening: Check the face, neck, lips, tongue, throat, tissues and gums for any signs of oral cancer.
A composite (tooth colored) filling is used to repair a tooth that is affected by decay, cracks, fractures, etc. The decayed or affected portion of the tooth will be removed and then filled with a composite filling. There are many types of filling materials available, each with their own advantages and disadvantages.

I have been going to Dentistry by Design for many years, and am so happy with their care. Both dentists are wonderful, professional and expert in their field. It is always a pleasure to visit their office and have their care over the years. Staff, each one, plus Kathy, Susie, Wende, Mary are so very helpful and professional. I used to hate going to the dentist, almost PTSD like. Now I sometimes fall asleep in the chair. It blows me away! This office, Dr. Anand, the office staff, the hygienists are just the nicest, most accommodating dental staff I have ever come across. They seem to specialize, or at least are masters at, people who are squeamish about the dentist. They are friendly and I feel like I am getting excellent care there.
