Members of my family have been seeing Dr. Benjamin Godder for more than 20 years. Dr. Godder is a dedicated doctor whose expertise, knowledge and commitment to patients are exceptional. Dr. Godder's proficiency in oral cancer screening became apparent as he detected early signs of cancer during a routine oral exam. He went out of his way to follow up and make sure the patient is taking care of. Clean and comfortable midtown Manhattan office and caring staff. Highly recommended.

When I am at Dr. Godder's office I know I am in good hands! His level of attentiveness and sense of personal care is amazing. He checks you holistically - during a checkup he found something suspicious which turned out to be fine but the level of care to catch it could have saved my life! I am recommending Dr. Godder to anyone who is looking for someone who has your best interest in mind. His staff is impeccable with Natasha the office receptionist always always being kind and accommodating.

Professor at NYU, very experienced Dentist, and he takes care of each patient tooth like a faerie! The difference being that is you who put the coin.that's why he doesn't have wings: But I can leave with that! Seriously an art person, very concern, precise with Technic erudition in his domain! Ask him about "invisiline"to straight your teeth. It comes with a great health benefit along with the beauty! Chapeau Dr Goddert.

Dr. Godder is a phenomenal dentist. He comes with an extremely organized and polite staff that I genuinely like as people. He utilizes state of the art equipment and is on the top of his game when it comes to his technique. He is very empathetic and caring when it comes to his patents' feeling any pain, and he makes sure that they are as comfortable as possible.

The dental office is always clean and organized, and is located in a beautiful building in midtown Manhattan. When you sit down in his chair, you get to see a great view of Manhattan's inner city from the 15th floor, and the dental assistants are kind enough to put vaseline on your lips before treatment so you don't leave with super chapped lips.

He is also currently teaching at NYU which I think is super cool. It is clear to see that he really cares about his patients' well-being, and isn't just all about the money. He has made me feel extremely safe and protected when it comes to my oral health, and I plan on keeping Dr. Godder as my dentist for the rest of my life.

I have been seeing Dr Godder for a few years now. He and his staff are extremely friendly and very accommodating. You never have to wait too long to see him (unlike other doctors offices) and he is always nice and efficient. His staff is great: Natasha is wonderful and the hygienist Lena is lovely.

I've been a patient of Dr. Godder's for over fifteen years and I've been extremely satisfied. I like that he's a professor of dentistry at NYU, since it seems to ensure that you're receiving treatments that involve the very latest methods Over the years there have been a number of times when he's mentioned that he's doing something in a different way than in the past and it often involves reducing discomfort during treatment or greater durability, etc. There's never a sense that you're dealing with a dentist whose skills/knowledge have ossified over the years. He's also a stickler for keeping the office spotless and while I have a hunch he's a very demanding employer, he seems to appreciate the abilities of his staff. I'd like to specifically refer to two people who work with Dr. Godder.

His dental hygienist, Lena, is terrific and I credit her for the vast improvement in my gum health. Also, his office manager, Natasha, is wonderful. Between my wife and myself we've seen enough poorly run medical offices to really appreciate the way in which she skillfully handles all the insurance issues and everything else. We've left good doctors who have poor staff due to the mountain of paperwork that gets thrown back at you due to their incompetence. With Natasha, it's the complete opposite - she's an additional reason to stick with Dr. Godder.

Been my family dentist since i can remember. He's very capable and excellent. Previous commenter is sort of right - he does push orthodontics on his clients and he did this even before he offered invisalign. I trust him with my teeth, even if he is a bit expensive.

Very uncomfortable and unpleasant experience. Having moved to NY last fall from California, I needed to find a new dentist in the city. I went for an overall dental check-up. My first visit was okay - he told me my teeth were in very good shape (they were aligned, I had only one cavity, etc etc.) and that all I needed were two sealants and one filling.

On my following visit (which was a few weeks later), he put in the sealants and filling. He then tells me that I need braces. I'm 25 and no dentist I have ever been to up to this point in my life has told me that I need braces. It was almost laughable. I have extremely straight teeth. He told me that "Invisalign" was the adult version of braces and that he strongly believed that I needed it.

It felt like I was at one of those salons where they try to push products on you and squeeze you for every cent you're worth. I was in amazement. I couldn't believe a licensed professional was trying so hard to push products and procedures on me. I understand that dentists need to make a living, but this was just too much. Once I refused, he seemed offended and then proceeded to push yet another product on me.

He tells me that he was able to get my insurance company to approve "Nightguard" - which is something you wear to sleep to prevent you from grinding your teeth. Once I refused that product as well, he practically shoved me out the door. Needless to say, I will have to find another dentist in NY.
