This place acts more like a sleazy used car dealership than a reputable doctors office. They pressure you into expensive procedures without telling you any potential negatives or long term problems you might have. They only tell you the positives, and leave any negatives until after its too late. If they tell you that an expensive procedure is needed get a second opinion from a qualified and reputable dentist.

Really bad I never felt so bad in my life. They really don't care about you. So I lost a tooth in the front in literally I asked the lady if they do co- payments where I could pay half. The lady said "we are not a bank". Besides that their was this lady next to the room telling people my business making fun of my missing tooth and laughing also she said " I seen a lot of things open" I felt so hurt. Please don't go here. Until today I feel so depressed. I did went somewhere else and thank god they were helping me.

Do not go here for TMJ treatment. It is a scam. Dr Simon and his assistants were horrible. I also needed a night guard and went thru a traumatic fitting and I find out the lab broke it. The headaches and jaw pain are ongoing. I wish I could get my money back. Thousands of dollars later. ongoing pain and money in his pocket.

Cares more about making money off of you than actually taking care of your teeth, they said my mom needed a root canal surgery and we got a second look by somebody else and he said she just needed her wisdom teeth extracted

Had the best experience when getting my cavity filled! Since I was a kid, I always dreaded having them filled and this experience was super quick & painless. The team of dentists were very kind and made me feel comfortable during the whole process!

Yesterday I went to dental care of Stamford in summer street. Going to the dentist triggers me because of past experiences and other dental trauma. Yesterday, I had an appointment and suddenly I began to panic and I couldn't hold my tears from coming down. I was flustered with racing thoughts, including flying to DR to fix my entire mouth under anesthesia at a fraction of what I had to pay today .

Then Janelle comes in and notices I'm worked up and immediately comes to me and gives me and water, she's talking with me, and validates my feelings. Dr. Patel follows and notices and asked what happened. I froze, Janelle simply told her "she's feeling overwhelmed" Dr. Patel then came to me to make sure I was going to be okay. After a few minutes, I was ready to begin and let me just say that I didn't feel a thing!

All my fears and anxiety were gone. Before I knew it the worse part was over. I share this because my experience yesterday is yet again another reason why trauma informed care is necessary in any health and dental care facility. Dr. Patel and Janelle really went above and beyond to ensure I felt safe and comfortable to proceed. I left feeling happy and grateful. Thank you dental care of Stamford, Janelle and Dr. Patel. You have no idea the impact your care had on me yesterday. Thank you

Since I've been coming to Stamford dental care I've been seeing Stacey the hygienist. She's super friendly and attentive. The staff here are amazing. First dentist office I actually liked.

This review is not about the service as the dentist (Dr. Patel) and the assistant (Maria) are quite good. It's really more about how the practice is so transactional and all about the money and how they overcharge. To start, I feel more than qualified to write this review. For more than 15 years my wife, son and I were patients. The relationship began to sour when I found out they were holding my insurance reinbursements for months when they could have been applied to subsequent payments.

At one point in time after I pushed, they admitted to having several thousand dollars which I'm sure was sitting in a money market account. My last major work there was a bridge implant that took around six months. I admit the work was good but upon comparing the cost with a New York City based dentist who happens to be a friend, his opinion was that they overcharged me by $2-3K!

Today I had to return to Dental Care (have since switched to another Stamford dentist) to have the implant screws tightened. Prior to going in they told me over the phone it would cost $167. Once in the chair, the financial admin (Paula) came in and told me the cost was going to be $750. All they did was remove the filling, tighten the screw, and then refill the bridge--in around 20 minutes.

If my current dentist had felt confortable with the implant he would have charged not more than $300. I don't think I've ever felt more screwed in my life. If you sense you're paying a lot at Dental Care you are. Built into their financial model is a lot of overhead you don't see at other practices. Plus Dr. Simon drives a Bentley and a Ferrari.

I have to say I was a little nervous going to my first consultation here at Dental Care Stamford, due to a not so great experience at another company. I was pleasantly surprised at the professionalism, the patience, and the gracefulness of Everyone. Anusha was extremely knowledgeable about the expectations and what options I have as far as the accounting, Jules and Leeann were gems.

They both had great sense of humor and it eased my nervousness. Dr. Roth was so calm and patiently explained every option and gave his expert opinion. He answered every question and made it clear to me that this was a "no judgment zone". I am so happy and excited to be starting my procedures in 2 weeks. I am also excited that my whole family will be transitioning to this dentist for all preventative care. Thank you Dr. Roth. What an awesome team.

My experience this morning at Dental Care of Stamford has been exceptional. Everyone takes the time to really listen to concerns. My treatment coordinator Mimi was so sweet and great with me. She stood by me the whole time. Dr. Simon was terrific. He is very caring and told me everything would be fine and it was. Joann, who cleaned my teeth made the experience easy. I felt at ease with her and made my teeth smooth. Great job.

Dr. Simon and his staff are amazing! They all have helped get over my fear of the dentist and really make their patients feel as comfortable as possible. He's done work on my teeth and I haven't had any issues. My favorite dentist office! :

Staff misrepresented participation in my dental insurance plan and estimated insurance reimbursement. The practice is very deceptive as to how they handle insurance reimbursement. As a result of the lack of transparency, I agreed to treatment of my daughter and received a substantial bill for which payment was demanded. The practice has numerous negative reviews, many of which address their billing practices and mishandling of information regarding insurance coverage.

Rather than acting in good faith to come to a mutually acceptable resolution, the office manager was unhelpful and focused upon trying to extract my agreement not to share my negative experience. Beware. Read ALL of the reviews, I wish we had beforehand.

I went into the facility due to agonizing pain in my tooth after getting a cavity filled a month prior at dentist from my home town (3 hour drive so this was an emergency) Dental care of Stamford was the closest place and had good reviews on Google. Upon my arrival they took X-rays and Dr. Simon proceeded to evaluate my jaw and how I clinch my teeth rather than focus on the pain in my tooth.

He blamed the clenching of my jaw when it clearly showed on the x-ray how deep my filling was that could be causing the pain. After AN HOUR of him explaining why I should get this procedure done to fix the bite in my mouth - a specialist came in and told me it would be 4K and 6+ visits. Bottom line, go somewhere else where they actually want to mend your pain and not take money out of your pocket.

I have read all the negative reviews and was very nervous before my appointment. I trust Yelp recommendations a lot and this was throwing me off. But I gave this a shot. I am afraid of any dentist and start sweating hours before. I walked into Dental Care today and was greeted by a very nice Front Desk. I let them know that I am anxious and everybody took good care of me.

First I met Kathy. She asked some general questions and explained what will happen next. I was a new patient, so we had to do an Xray. She gave me the costs for that upfront. No surprises there. After that Xray we met again and were joined by Dr. Patel. I broke a tiny piece of my front tooth. I looked for some price information before I went to my appointment because I don't have insurance.

I read here, that a lot of patients are unhappy with billing, pricing etc. Well, Dr. Patel explained I should get a veneer soon as that is just more stable. Here we go, I thought. I have to pay a lot of money today - but no. She said she will do dental bonding for now. That is the normal procedure for a broken tooth. And the costs were exactly in the range I expected them to be. Again, no surprises.

The treatment itself was very good. I barely felt the injection that numbed my mouth and I was very relaxed. Everything Dr Patel did was just great. So, after all those negative recommendations here I can only say, give this practice a chance. I had no problems whatsoever. And no, I did not get paid to write this :

I don't recommend this place to anyone, they are crooks. They tried to make me pay about $560 for a procedure that never happened. I had to pay $300 but they raised it to $560 for a "third" tooth they fix which never happened. If I could I would give this place 0 stars. They think we're dumb, keep you're bill to make sure they aren't trying to scam you. 0/10

I've been a patient of DCS since the early 1990's. I've had bridges and crowns, root canals, and cavities filled. So I've had many years to form the following opinion. These guys are supremely professional and do solid dentistry. They stay current in modern dental technologies if not ahead of the curve. They are reliable and their DDS's and DMD's do high quality work. Plus, they are full service so your don't necessarily have to go elsewhere for specialty dental services like endodontics.

All of this is what you should want in your dentist. Don't we swayed by the people on this site who complain that DCS is a business and engages in sales. Dentistry *is* a business and should be run like one. That means hiring top quality professional staff, training and education, and quality standards---especially important in health professionals if you're vigilant about your health.

I have no personal or business relationship with DCS---just a patient who has observed them and their work over 25+ years. Their work has been worth every dollar I've spent. OTOH I've spent tens of thousands of dollars for family members at Manhattan dentists who did equally solid work but at higher prices.

**Review update** I am glad I decided to get second and third opinions. It's confirmed that, in fact, there was an attempt to sell me unnecessary dental services. I am glad I listened to my gut instinct that something didn't feel right. In addition to two dentists at another practice, my chiropractor confirmed my headaches were from tension and not from a bite imbalance/issues.

After some lifestyle changes and a new job, my headaches are gone. What makes me more upset was the attempt to cheat and upsell my elderly mother. I am glad I convinced her to get additional opinions. She does need a fair amount of work done, but not nearly to the extent she was misled by. I highly recommend Rye Dental Associates, where we both got our second and third opinions.

Wish I could give them 0 stars. My father was seen at this office and he was forced to write a 5 star review without even being seen (how can you review anything without being seen?) clearly this is their scam. He is older and has not idea how to do this so they happily set him up to do so and coached him to write the review. He has Delta Dental and of course he's told they "accept it" but conveniently enough forget to mention they're not in network.

So he is seen and charged in full (Not even insurances fees) but private fees so he ends up paying over $400 for a cleaning. Needless to say I will never allow him to go back there. There are plenty of other offices around that give excellent care that are honest and transparent but this is not one of them. STAY AWAY! ****Posting here because they clearly pay to remove and scam their Google reviews**** and before you answer me with the "We don't see your name in our database line to deflect from the your scamming ways, my father went to DENTAL CARE OF STAMFORD (at 1500 Summer street, Stamford CT 06905)!

Dr. Tools is by far the best oral surgeon I have ever had. My experience with my wisdom teeth extractions were pleasant and pain free. He was very compassionate and caring. Also Dr. Roth is a fantastic dentist, did my fillings quick and pain free as well. He was very gentle! The staff is always kind, friendly and nice. Especially Jerry and Paula. Highly recommend both doctors and the practice

Dentistry in general has such a bad reputation until I met the doctors at dental care of Stamford. I was never fond of the dentist but I needed some dental work and I had no choice but to give it a shot! The care I received on a professional and personal level made me feel comfortable and now I never miss an appointment. Referred my whole family! After a while I started working there and got to realize the behind the scenes work of all staff and doctors!

Everyone puts so much effort into helping patients and staff. Excessive training and continuing education programs to enhance everyone's experience, staff and patients! They are amazing!

I am giving this office one star for the hygienist who was wonderful. The rest of the front staff, managers and the primary dentist in the office are not to be trusted. They are focused on selling their services and not giving you the best oral care. Interviewed by the top office manager, I was asked what was my goal and when I said healthy teeth and a great smile, she asked if there was anything keeping me from achieving this.

I stopped and asked, 'do you mean money?' And she said, 'sure.' Then when the dentist saw me he mocked me because I had receding gums. I used a guard so it wasn't from grinding. He never looked at my chart to see I was on 12 medications daily, had a medical history.all that caused various forms of gum and teeth issues. My last complaint was when I told them I had both a private and Medicare Advantage plans for dental, but I didn't have the exact coverage there for the later, they continued to call me saying they were sure it didn't cover dental. however it does cover all dental, even complicated procedures.

They also said they 'don't take Medicare.' Which only means they won't file.unless they have opted out.and they have not, you can still collect all your coverage from this office. BUT THEIR STAFF IS TELLING YOU. OTHERWISE. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS OFFICE.

I went in for a as a new patient in February And from the moment I sat down every single person in the practice was trying to upsell anything and everything. The dentist was RUDE. I was told I had 11 cavities and I needed to have them repaired ASAP. I was borderline harassment via text and phone calls to make appointments during covid. I asked numerous times to stop texting and they continued.

I felt SUPER uncomfortable. Today I went back to my previous to my previous dentist and asked Dental Care send over my X-rays. Well surprise, surprise I have ZERO cavities. I think this practice is a scam! Stay away!

I came in to get one small cavity fixed. They said I had 7 cavities. They tried to convince me to get all done at the same time. Luckily, my better judgement kicked in and told them I only wanted the one I came in for and they can do the cavity between the teeth next to this one. The short of it is that my filling piped out 2 twice now. My wife had an even worse experience with multiple popping out and lots of pain. STAY AWAY!

Took kid there when he had only two teeth and they sent me a bill of 300 dollars - going back and forth with insurance and then eventually we found out that they are out of network with most of the insurance. So why do you even take us as customers? You don't even check our insurance? It's considered preventative care under Obama care and we should not even pay one cents.

Now this dental shop want us to pay out of pocket. I don't approve this kind of practice. Don't go to this shop that causes huge pains in dealing with their bills afterwards. If you are not in network with insurance be upfront about that when taking in customers. Most dental offices check insurances. Actually I just talked to Emmy again - they called insurance they knew they were out of network for the service and they knew it would mean patients will have to pay out of pocket and still let us in - for this kind of dental shop I only have one suggestion - stay far away.

In US, before you being seen by any doctor, call your insurance and verify that he/she is in the network because some black hearted provider knew themselves are out of network but not upfront about it. They just want money and don't care about you.

Yelp doesn't have Dental Care of Stamford so this is my review of floor 3 of the same company. I hadn't gone to the dentist in 9 years and I had a dental scare that brought me in. I'm afraid of dentists and I knew my teeth were in bad shape. I saw Mimi and she made me feel SO comfortable (I was literally crying when talking to her about my teeth).

I don't have insurance so they told me about the in-house plan which made me save quite a bit of money. I had to get a deep cleaning done for my whole mouth. They put me under and I felt great, no issues at all. The staff are all friendly and very comforting to those who are afraid of dentists. I'm now a frequent patient getting my teeth cleaned and am looking into getting my teeth straightened. I went from never EVER going to a dentist to being an adult and going every three months.
