Dr. Calilung is very involved with organized dentistry both at state and national level, the California Dental Association and the American Dental Association respectively. Since 1993, he has served as adjunct faculty at USC Dental School and volunteers his Fridays with the clinical dental students. Dr. Calilung received his dental inspiration from both parents who are also dentists. A graduate of USC School of Dentistry, Dr Xerxez Calilung, has been providing dental care in Irvine, California since 1990.

If you are on Medicare, please send us a copy of your current Medicare card so we may check your eligibility in 2022. It's true, Medicare Parts A and B (also called Original Medicare) don't provide a lot of dental benefits. Routine dental care like cleanings and checkups are not covered, and neither are crowns or bridges.
Amazing job making me feel comfortable and educated on the procedures I received during my visit. I felt absolutely no pain and would recommend him to anyone who is in need of a great dentist. Needless to say, he was very professional and always made sure I was aware of what was going on. Super friendly, super personable, I love coming here.

Dr. Xerxez Calilung and the team at Dental Arts of Irvine are the best around. They go above and beyond every time. When Dr. Calilung heard that I was newly engaged and interested in whitening my teeth before the wedding, he gifted me a full whitening set. He even covered the cost of my cleaning that day because I had been laid off from my job due to the pandemic. He said, "You're part of the family and family takes care of each other." I am so grateful to Dr. Calilung and his team.

Had a terrible infection that a previous dentist never fixed, and wow the dentist here as incredibly sweet and took me in quickly and got the job done for a good price and fast! Without a doubt the nicest dentist I have ever had the pleasure of working on my teeth. Will be recommending and be returning for any future visits.

If you're looking for a dentist with your best interest in mind then this is the place. Dr. Calilung (Dr. X) is by far the most skilled, professional and trustworthy dentist I've ever met & I've been to many dentists in Orange County. I found Dr. X on Yelp a few years ago and I'm so glad I did! I've had many services done from root canals, cavities, crowns, cleanings, cosmetic procedures, and he has always come thru for me by making my smile look amazing! I truly couldn't be happier with every service I've received!

The worst dentist without a doubt. Unfortunately my who family went here when we first moved to Irvine 6 years ago. I had a root canal there, among other treatments. The dentist left a piece of the blade in my gum and a unfinished root which caused me unimaginable pain for months before another dentist found the problem. I had another emergency surgery to correct the first botched root canal.
My orthopedic surgeon called dental arts and shared the X-rays, and they admitted the malpractice and had to reimburse me. My husband also had a terrible experience multiple times with a cap that kept falling off, another admission and another dentist had to fix the issue. My daughters just went to our new dentist last week and the filling they put in was incomplete! Run a mile from this terrible dental group.

I've been looking for a family dentist for awhile now. I'm so happy I found this place! Dental arts of Irvine makes you feel at home and like your family, from the minute I walked in I was welcomed with such a friendly and warm welcome. Dr. Calilung actually cares about you as a person and your health. He is very informative about amazing! Even better they have an amazing Pediatric dentist, she is very kind and gentle my kids absolutely love her! I highly highly recommend coming to Dental Arts of Irvine!

Searching for a dentist can be a stressful task. Honest feedback on my experience with Dr. Calilung. I found Dr. Calilung through my list of in-network providers, and now has been my dentist a little over 2.5 years. From day 1, He's been very honest, upfront with procedures, and made going to the dentist a pleasant experience. The staff is absolutely wonderful and great with working with your schedule (along with follow ups). *I once even scheduled an emergency appointment and got me in next day! If you're in the Orange County area, don't hesitate to stop your search and book an appointment. Go get your teeth cleaned!

Na. This aint it. I'm writing this review a year after my visit to this dentist. I am new to the area and so I called this office and the first question out their mouth is what insurance I have. Ok, standard protocol. The first red flag was After a dull delivery of their question, their response to my answer was filled with enthusiasm and motive now.
I had, 3 cavities needed to be filled. well, they had me come in 3 times, upsold me on 2 sessions without asking me, and kept "reassuring all was covered by my companies dental and health insurance." I know this is a part of the game, but be honest and upfront, or at least do a better job of acting like you want to help when really you're going after the wallet. OH, and most importantly, the filling didn't last 4 months until they chipped off and fell out.

Dr. Calilung is the best dentist I've had. He he great at dentistry from fixing cavities, root canals and crowns and extractions. I've been fearful of dentists, but Dr. Calilung makes you feel at ease and will go at your own pace to minimize anxiety. He is personable and even makes the numbing process painless.i highly recommend him!

Dr. Calilung is great! I came in with teeth grinding and a resulting gum infection and he treated me and fit me for a mouth guard in the same day. He really looks at the body holistically and was able to make connections between my sleeping habits and issues I was having with my mouth and stomach. His receptionists are kind and attentive and Dr. Calilung has s great bedside manner. Thank you!
