I've had Delta dental on my last two jobs and they always do a fantastic job decent benefits great customer service.

ABSOLUTELY the WORST dental plan! I have tried to cancel, they won't let me. They say when I signed up, it was for one year! No one told me that. I am on a very limited income and have declared Bankruptcy. I tried to cancel to save money, I'm on a very limited budget. They told me the only way to get out of the plan is to miss two payments. To withhold the next two payments it will cost me almost a hundred dollars to block the payments. Apparently this company doesn't care. I am 71 and lost my spouse of many years. Just seems unfair. No one takes care of the older generation.

Their website for logging in to view claims doesn't let you login! They don't mail paper EOB's and you can't access claims online. It will tell you wrong user name, call them, right user name. Reset password.nope says user name not correct. Seeing the issue here? Get a website that works for all members to be able to view their claims.

Typical insurance company. Aspen Dental filed my claim wrong and screwed me out of pocket a few grand. Tried to get DDV to help and boy they sure sound like they will on the phone but good luck. All follow up I had to do. Must've called 8 times over the course of 5 months and was told the same thing each time. Glad to be rid of them come May.

Sent in my claim on the 19th, I called multiple times to only hear they haven't received my claim. After multiple tries I spoke to Kathy who helped my identify the problem. The claim form was filled out wrong in one section. So instead of someone contacting me to help out they just pushed my claim to the side. Finally after I resent the claim in they told me instead of the 7 day wait it would be a lot longer wait. Kathy is the only one who was willing to help me out.

Even if I call back to ask a question everyone else just tells me no they are still processing no details. Its been 11 days now and still no word. I wouldn't recommend this insurance plan. I only have them because of my company. I hope we switch soon.

Critical: Responsiveness, Value I have been trying to get my Ortho benefit resumed for A YEAR NOW. Nobody has been able to help me and every time I call I get a different answer and a promise I would get a call back and they never do. I don't recommend them and as soon as I can switch plans I will. Terrible Customer Service.

Three different claims, but all exactly the same service. All supposed to be covered, but DDoV processed one correctly, the second the shorted me on the amount to be reimbursed, and the third they denied. The customer service is horrible. We've had to use them for over 15 years b/c our employer makes us. I dread every interaction and every claim I have to submit b/c there are problems on 80% of claims. When it's only $20-30, I don't say anything b/c it's so much hassle. Whoever processes the claims received over email needs to be retrained or fired.

What a ridiculous insurance company. I wish I can give less than a one star rating because they don't even deserve that. I started my braces contract back in 09/2018. Insurance was supposed to pay $2,000 towards my braces and I had to pay the rest. Well unfortunately, another company bought out the company my dad was currently working at and all of our insurances changed, including the dental.

The new dental is now out of network for my dentist. I started receiving bills that Delta Dental never paid the full 2,000 back in 2018. They only paid $800. Now I'm stuck with an additional 1,200 to pay even though I got braces back in 2018! I called them asking why they didn't pay the full 2,000 if I did everything before my coverage was over and with the worst customer service response that I received, they pretty much told me it wasn't their problem anymore.

How could you not pay at least your end in full? Anyway, thanks to them, my bill is a lot more because they're an irresponsible and an untrustworthy company! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! *** Update *** 03/29/2019 To the "owner" who responded to my review, I called the number you guys provided to see if we can "resolve" my issue, we still couldn't. I still strongly stand by my first review.

I just spoke with a customer service rep who told me I cannot cancel my policy until the end of the contract -6 months from now! I was not informed I would have to pay a $60 co-pay for a simple exam and cleaning. I received no notification when the premium went up - the email address they had for me was misspelled! I am very dissatisfied!
