Does mercury in the silver fillings in your mouth pose any long-term health risks? Does fluoride, in spite of everything we've been told since childhood, actually cause more harm than good? Sealants are liquid coatings that harden on the chewing surfaces of teeth and are showing a great deal of effectiveness in preventing cavities-even on teeth where decay has begun. The pits and grooves of your teeth are prime areas for opportunistic decay. When X-rays pass through your mouth during a dental exam, more X-rays are absorbed by the denser parts (such as teeth and bone) than by soft tissues (such as cheeks and gums) before striking the film. This creates an image on the radiograph. What is flossing?
Some cases of acute periodontal (gum) disease that do not respond to more conventional treatment and self-care such as flossing may require a special kind of cleaning called scaling and root planing. The procedure begins with administration of a local anesthetic to reduce any discomfort. Root canals are tiny passageways that branch off from beneath the top of the tooth, coursing their way vertically downward, until they reach the tip of the root.

I went here for a second opinion. They said I had 18 months left in treatment. I decided to go with them. After paying my braces off they decided it was time to take off my braces, when my bite didn't meet on the side and my two front teeth were not symmetrical and still bucked out, they said they could fix it in with my retainer, which to me makes no sense. I am now with a new orthodontist paying out more money to fix what she didn't. I would not recommend this office.

Dr. Potts is truly a wonderful woman, she has surrounded herself with the nicest staff; they are most accommodating, and I am so grateful for the beautiful smile they have given my daughter. Never was there a moment that my daughter dreaded going to see Dr. Potts. Thank you for making this whole experience a pleasant one, and I will refer your office to everyone that asks. You are such a blessing to my little family.
