Being a pediatric dentist means working in the best profession in the world. My days are spent with children, each of whom brings his or her own energy, growing personality, and interpretations of the world into my office and my life. Children are fun to be around, always keeping me - and my team - on our toes!
We understand the full range of emotions that both parents and children have about dentistry. Our staff is trained and our office designed with children in mind. Our clinical team is comprised of well-trained assistants who have had a number of years' experience treating children. We also participate in practice management courses and are all CPR certified.
A child's early experiences can make a strong impression, and those lingering feelings can last far into adulthood. When a little one experiences only kindness and positive things, he or she feels safe and that translates to comfort and trust. At Crystal Lake Pediatric Dental, we understand how important those early dental visits are for the long-term health and happiness of our young patients.
The American Board of Pediatric Dentistry was organized by the American Society of Dentistry for Children in 1940. It is the only ADA-recognized certifying board for the specialty of pediatric dentistry. The vision of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry is to achieve excellence in pediatric dentistry through certification of all pediatric dentists.

I had been taking my daughter to a different pediatric dentist and and every visit was a fight, Screaming, And to say the least, a struggle. Our 1st visit at this pediatric dentist was a was a whole different experience. My daughter was Immediately comfortable And loved the staff. She has quite a bit of work that needs to be done and I am thrilled I found the right dentist to do it.

She needed to be sedated at the other dentist to get work done and she had a tooth pulled with just gas with Dr. Minutillo. I didn't have to sit in the waiting room and hear her scream, it was amazing. She didn't even have tears when she was done! It was like walking into an alternate universe when we walked into this dentist office! I cannot say enough great things!

Very horrible. My kiddo was upset and crying and they would not let me go check on her. Also they said she's fine when I asked them to bring her back to me ASAP. I feel very upset. If a parent says to stop and bring the child back or let me back there that should be done immediately. Not respectful to kids and parents. It's fine if your kiddo is not shy and able to go back alone like my older one.

Absolutely love them! My son is on the spectrum and they are wonderful with him, we've struggled with dentists in the past pushing his boundaries making him very uncomfortable with the whole setting but they've handled it spectacularly. Even when he tried to negotiate his extraction from two teeth down to one, he was not thrilled when he realized it wouldn't work

My kids absolutely love Dr. Tony and the staff at Crystal Lake Pediatric Dental. They've been going there for years. My oldest is 16. The staff has always been the sweetest and kindest and also very professional. You know they are doing something right if your kids actually want to go to the dentist.

My personal dentist referred my 4yr old son to a pediatric dentist. I did some research and chose this dentist because their facility seemed to be proficient in treating children. My son had 3 visits total. He gets anxious easily, so I was very concerned about him getting dental work done. I have to say, I couldn't have been more impressed with the facility in general, the dr and the other staff.

They went above and beyond to make sure my son felt as comfortable as possible. They advised upfront that I wouldn't be able to go back with my son. I had zero issues with that because I know that if I was back there, my son would have resisted the treatment. He came out smiling and that made me happy:

My 3 year old had to have 4 teeth removed due to her being born 5 weeks early. We had a horrible first dentist appointment in Elgin and we were extremely concerned about finding a good dental office. Thank G-D we found Crystal Lake Pediatric. They are all amazing and they treated us like family. Top notch across the board

Dr. Minutillo & his team are fantastic! His office is very welcoming. We are so happy that our daughter does not ever mind going to the dentist any more! Grateful for the hygienist's gentle care. Dr. Minutillo has always taken time at the end of the appointment to review and inform me about important dental information. We feel fortunate to have been referred to such a wonderful pediatric dentist!

My wife brought our kid here to get quite a bit of dental work done, unfortunately they refused to do the work on my 4 yr old son. Why? Because my wife wanted to be back with him when he was getting the work done. The lady there told her well he will be getting the "funny gas". But to me that seems like more of a reason to be back there with him. You don't know how he's being treated, you don't know how they work or anything.

So then my wife say to them if I can't back there I am leaving. So they basically said leave and we won't refer you to any other pediatric dentist because that's our competition. So long story short they want to isolate your child from you and won't help you if you don't agree with their method. Sounds to me like they really don't care too much about kids.
