Columbia Smiles is under the leadership of our esteemed Cosmetic Dentist, Dr. Nick Pournaras, a South Carolina native who has dedicated his professional career to helping individuals improve their oral health and rejuvenate their smiles. He has been honored as one of six best dentists in the state of South Carolina who have received an Accredited Membership by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD). Perhaps as tribute to Dr. Nick, or to our incredible patient base, many of our tremendously talented staff members have been at Columbia Smiles for multiple years.

As a parent, from out of town in New York City and having your daughter in South Carolina call with such urgency about tooth pain was very stressful. Columbia Smiles did everything to ease my stress. My daughter got an appointment right away. The receptionists Amber and Kellie could not have been nicer, such great people. It's good to know you can get help when you need it. Starting with the staff, the customer service at Columbia Smiles is unmatched. They're so friendly, welcoming, always wearing a smile, informational and thorough. They really take the time to take care of your teeth in great detail so you don't feel like just another number fit into an appointment slot where it's rushed to get you in and out. The atmosphere is nice with a great view.
There is some construction so it's a little tricky to get to their actual office, but I bet it will look great once they're finished. Added bonus! The chairs are massage chairs! I'm very satisfied with the care I've received here. 10/10 recommend.

Switched to Dr. Nick and his staff over six years ago and can say WITHOUT A DOUBT, they are by far the best dental practitioners I have ever experienced. His expert care has made all the difference. From a couple much-needed crowns, to completely straightening my teeth in less than a year, I can't recommend Columbia Smiles enough!

Biggest mistake ever. Speed braces were a scam. We were warned not to use him and not to get speed braces. Daughter is now back in braces under Dr. Whitehead. Her teeth are worse than they were when we started her 1st treatment 3 year's ago. Money down the drain. Buyer beware. If it sounds too good to be true. He never did successfully get her permanent retainer to stay on. We gave up after 3 or 4. Lost count.

I have been a patient of Dr Nick and Columbia Smiles for 20+ years. I have never had a bad or unpleasant experience. Dr Nick is always smiling, friendly, and very professional. His staff is incredible. He chooses very carefully and only the best. Hygienists are amazing as well. Cannot express how much of a pleasure it actually is going to the dentist now, something that was not very pleasant (ie scary) when I was a kid, elsewhere. Recommend!

Had to provide an update The 2nd bridge they did for my wife fell out this weekend while on vacation again, so the new summary of our experience here over an 18 month period is; Got an infection teeth fell out teeth fell out teeth not ready on time teeth ready but can't go in due to a billing issue teeth fell out teeth fell out teeth fell out Just got done gluing them back in myself and they will likely stay in longer this time
