The hygienist was running late, once I got in the chair I saw the magnificent work she does, she is very patient concerned, reassuring, explaining each step that was taken while she was deep cleaning my teeth. I am very appreciative of her work it was a very reassuring experience. I've been very apprehensive about dental work over the years and she really made me feel as calm as possible and I'm very thankful for Ms. Bourgeois professionalism

This is my first time having dental insurance and going to somewhere in my network. My hygienist, Jessica, is very sweet and does an excellent job. I had a situation that nearly prevented me from seeking treatment, but she was kind and helped me.

I filed a complaint with their Patient Assurance Quality on 12/May/ 2022. So far, I have not heard from them back. Guess, their claims of quality assurance is under-par.

Scam scam scam, took advantage of my mom. Told her one price and to sign the paper turns out the worker didn't file any paper work right, next time she went they told her is was another 700 and would make anything right. Needs new management asap. Crazy enough that workers doesn't work their anymore I wonder why!

It started when I got to the office. I received new dental insurance didn't have the information the reception looked it up and got it all completed for me that was very awesome. The office people are very helpful and knowledgeable. And my cleaning experience was completely different from the first two I have received from coastal dental she did more deeper cleaning and was more professional. I was completely satisfied with this visit.

My hygienist is amazing! The office staff while nice have no idea how to process the insurance. They constantly over charge me and then bill the insurance. When the insurance pays the bill they credit my account. I don't want credits. I want to be billed appropriately. I want to leave, but my hygienist is fabulous.

Made an appointment for a particular service and it was made very clear what needed to be done. Upon making appointment they understood the reason for visiting. When appointment came they were clueless and had no regards for what the patient wanted and didn't bother to listen. Instead insisted on long draw out treatments that were not necessary just extremely costly! This place is a joke stay clear from here!

I was having extreme pain and tried to get in anywhere as an emergency. Nobody would take me, so I tried Coast's virtual appt. They told me I needed to be seen and were able to get me a 2pm appt at the Tennessee St office. I was grateful. I show up at 1:40 and check in. At 4pm, I finally go up to the desk and ask. I fully expected to wait as I was being worked in but over 2 hours seemed excessive since they closed at 5.

What was even the point of giving me a 2pm appt? Anyway, I was told the dentist was in surgery but they took me to the back. The assistant was so rough with my injured mouth that the x-rays brought me to tears. Finally the dentist came to see me but didn't even bother to look at the sore area. He saw I still had my wisdom teeth and decided that was the problem.

I had to ask a second time for him to actually look at the spot. But no, still the wisdom teeth. He sent me out with a referral to a surgeon to have them removed. Guess what. It wasn't my wisdom teeth. Total waste of my time.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would! I wasn't super impressed with my first visit. While I was waiting a couple of unhappy customers were venting on the office staff, and the environment was dingy and littered with debris from the day. Today was my second visit, and I quickly became one of the unhappy customers! I showed up at 3:29 PM for my 3:30 PM appointment.

They asked me why I was late and said they had me down for a 3:00 appointment! I checked to make sure I wasn't crazy, and then I showed the receptionist the text message from them confirming my 3:30 PM appointment! She said "Yeh, that's been happening a lot lately. They are sending texts with the wrong appointment time." I told her that the text was correct based on the information in my calendar.

My appointment was for 3:30 PM! She said she would have to check with the hygienist to see if she could "work me in." She came back and said the hygienist had 2 other patients, and she couldn't see me! So my time, gas, etc. was completely wasted! Horrifying experience! There will not be a third visit!

This particular visit was good other than the fact that I was scheduled to come in at 2:40, but after waiting 20 minutes with no one waiting but me I asked how much longer and was told my appt was showing 3:00 and my hygienists was running behind although all my confirmation appt reminders said 2:40. Another hygienists was able to go ahead and clean my teeth, she was friendly, quick and informative so overall a good visit.

If I could give a 0 I certainly would do so. They closed during Covid when I had an appointment. They did not reopen when others did because they could not find a dentist or hygenist. When they finally reopened, I had just received a cleaning from someone else. I made an appointment online that was confirmed. Not taking any chances I called them to make sure that they knew that I was an existing patient and I also had my provider call.

At this time they confirmed my day and time again. They sent me so many messages to confirm my appointment. After driving there on Feb. 1, at 2:00 p.m. ( (I got there earlier) the rude receptionist claiming the name Anna from another office said that I did not have any appt. and could not be seen. She would not accept anything from my phone. The hygienist came out and said that someone had dropped a bunch of people from the list apparently because we made the appt. online.

She said that she would see me because she believed me. She then returned stating that I had not been there so I am a new patient now and cannot be seen today. After telling her that I could not come because they were closed. She said that she cannot help this anyone else would be considered a new patient. She finally agreed to do an x-ray and exam to tell me what kind of cleaning I need then I would have to return to get the cleaning.

Can we say scam? I took off from work driving through heavy traffic to get there. Also, they declined to see an existing patient when was clearly there first in favor of someone who had never been there. Also, their hours everywhere said that they close at 5:00 and it was updated 1 week ago. They told me that they close at 4:00 and had to give the new patient a 2-hour cleaning. This is unbelievable. Run from this place. I did.

Worse dentist. I walked out after waiting 35 mins past my appointment time. I get it, sometimes people are short staffed, but it was obvious from the moment I walked in, this was not the type of place I wanted my care. Loud music blaring from the back which I can hear in the lobby. Dirty bathrooms. I had enough. The reviews are right, stay away.

I have had the pleasure of interacting with very professional and pleasantly-considerate, friendly employees at Coast Dental's Tennessee street location. The patient mannerisms displayed from both the front and back office staff, made a series of needed dental appointments comfortable if not pleasant. So thank you Dr. McKay and staff. Hopefully this will be the beginning of a established " patient and dentist office relationship." Lol.

I made an appt bc of a toothache and my normal dentist is no longer covered under my insurance. They canceled it because my insurance had not faxed the verification like they were supposed to, but then sent me a confirmation the morning of, after it had been canceled. They were nice enough to see me but it made for a long wait. When I got back, I was horrified at the condition of the office.

The lobby was a little dirty and dingy but the equipment in the back was scratched up and rusty, the plastic was yellowed with age and the exam light had visible gunk on it. When she started pulling up the dentist on Microsoft Teams for a virtual visit I almost got up and left. Who knew you could be a work from home dentist?!? They said I had an abscess and I would need to schedule an appt with an endodontist to fix it.

Didn't give me antibiotics for the infection or anything to manage the pain. She did want to do a cleaning that would be $380 out of pocket and said that I didn't qualify for the free cleaning covered by my insurance. I have always had very good teeth and kept up with regular cleanings. There was no reason for me not to be able to get the normal cleaning covered by my insurance.

Guess that explains why they tried to sneak a financing application in with the new patient paperwork. My mom was waiting in the lobby for me and said that three patients came in fussing about the bad work they had done and/or billing errors while she waited for me. I will not be going back! It is very sketchy all the way around.

I hardly don't write a bad review but man. This place has some troubles. They only have one dentist doing things and are overbooked. Staff were nice though but I will say they need to do a better job and not reschedule people over and over again.

This place is unethical and misleading to say the least. My visit here was unpleasant, after my oral exam I received an ordeal list of things I needed to get done with astronomical prices. No one in the office did their due diligence to ensure the service would be paid by my Insurance. After sitting down and revising my portion of the bill. I still received another bill that was not discuss in the office.

In addition, you are hassled to purchase unnecessary items from the office that is not needed. The Doctor was rough, and not well mannered. This business needs to restructure and be more up front with their patients.

Coast Dental ultimately provided a disappointing and frustrating experience. When I initially reached out, I was under the impression that I was scheduling a Dental Cleaning. When I went in at my scheduled appointment time, I had an excessive wait, only to receive my "New Patient Exam." To receive a Dental Cleaning, I had to schedule that separately, months down the line.

Fast forward nearly 7 months when I was just about to have a subsequent cleaning, when I receive an additional bill (for services my insurance provider wouldn't cover. Namely: a "New Patient Exam.") When looking closely at my bill, I also see that I was charged nearly $26 to take home a bottle of what is essentially mouthwash- when it was presented to me by an employee at the end of my service in such a casual way that I thought it was just a standard product given to customers (like a toothbrush).

My out-of-pocket costs at Coast were higher than any dental office I've ever experienced. For anyone looking for a new Dental provider in Tallahassee, I would encourage you to look elsewhere.

Very unprofessional business. I've called for 2 weeks was told their system was down when I tried to make a new patient appt. When I finally got ahold of the customer service rep, which was an African American girl, I asked to speak to a manager since I was told to callback to make an appt. She then put me on hold, I've been on hold now for 23 mins.

No manager picked up the phone and I'm still on hold. The young lady didn't even check on me while on hold to see if I was ok or if the manager even picked up. I'm still on hold, someone needs to really check the staff at this location. So many bad reviews.

They demand payment up front, even if you have insurance. They will tell you that once your insurance pays they will reimburse you, but when that time comes they ghost you. "The person who deals with that isn't here today" - every day. "We'll call you back" - they never do. "You need to call customer service" - they can't help you. "You need to call central billing" - their number goes to voicemail and the mailbox is full.

This has been going on for months, so I disputed the payment with AMEX and they ruled in my favor, then guess what, a week later I get a bill from coast dental for the amount AMEX refunded me. Since that happened I've tried to contact coast half a dozen times, and got nowhere. Meanwhile they send me the same bill in the mail every couple of weeks. This company is borderline criminal in the way that they do business. Stay away.

Very unprofessional and does not communicate efficiently. They'll let you pay for a service that you won't receive because of their lack of communication. How is it that a 3 part procedure was not told me? They made it seem like a 1 day thing. Not to mention no one answers the phone. They should shutdown.

This place isn't good at all. Had two root canals done here and both of them were done incorrectly went to a different endodontist and he said they weren't done correctly I ended up losing my tooth. Go somewhere else I complained to them and they didn't care don't waste your time. just because it's Buckhead doesn't make it be professional

If you don't have time to read about my experience there's one word you need to know about this dental office: *incompetence*. Had to schedule a cleaning appointment 6 months out (to be fair it's like every other dentist in Tallahassee). The office seemed to be in disarray. After an hour in the waiting room they ask what I'm there for I tell them a general check up and cleaning.

Then they say I have to get an x ray in order to receive a cleaning and have to come back in for that cleaning with a hygienist. This would involve a large charge. This office was unable to open a file that oral surgeon sent over twice because it is allegedly "encrypted". I've never had a dentist operate this unorganized. Complete waste of my time and missing out on valuable work time.

People have lives outside of the dental office. Canceled my appointment and would rather pay out of pocket at a more professional establishment outside of my insurance policy.

I am going to try to be brief. Coast Dental is not a great dental office 1. Bad Appointment etiquette. On one occasion, one appointment needed to be turned into two (because of my admittedly terrible insurance) and I was not informed until I was sitting in the dentists chair for what turned out to be the first appointment. On another, they changed the time of the appointment and rather than call and tell me that's what they had done, they called and asked if I knew when my appointment was, and when I gave the wrong answer, they corrected with the time they had changed the appointment to. 2.

Poor Communication: For example I'm pretty sure I have a gum disease and no one has told me directly. They gave me a pamphlet explaining the medication they treated me with which was for gum disease but never a direct conversation. They have also scheduled me for an additional cleaning 3 months after the last one without explaining to me why it was that soon. 3. (and most importantly) Bad estimates for the costs of service: The treatment for gum disease (see above) was not covered by my insurance, (however it would have been had the problem been worse) so this will end up costing me around 400 extra dollars (on top of the around $500 I have already paid).

When I discussed this issue with staff they told me there was no way they could have known insurance couldn't cover it so its my responsibility. Which is of course bogus. With these three points in mind, I will be finding a different dentist, and I recommend you too look elsewhere.

I went to Coast Dental for my first dental appointment in nearly a year and a half. I was talked into the "deep cleaning" which felt a lot like being upsold at an auto repair shop but since it had been so long I went with it. My entire teeth cleaning took under 10 minutes, including the flossing and brushing. It was the shortest teeth cleaning I've ever received and I'll add that my teeth don't have the smooth, clean feeling they usually have after a cleaning. Doing some research online, deep cleaning or "scaling" (which is what I was charged for) usually takes one to two hours.

I have dental insurance and was charged $94 on top of that for the least thorough cleaning I've ever received. They finally returned my call, told me I was in the chair for 23 minutes (which might be true, I was in the chair playing games on my phone until the cleaning started) and told me a deep cleaning only takes 15-30 minutes. The staff was nice but the services rendered were terrible and the upcharging is just bad business.

0/5 I rarely write reviews, but I am livid. I broke my permanent retainer and this practice was the only place to get me in. They told me that neither one of my insurances will cover anything. So I paid $450 out of my own pocket to have them glue it back on. Now here's where I am mad. It didn't even last 3 months, while my other one lasted 5 years!

I called to ask if they give a warranty on their work, and not surprisingly I never got a callback. I called my new dentist and they told me that my insurance should cover all of it besides 50$. So I was charged 9 times what I should have out, for work that didn't even last! They are either lying about what insurance can cover or they price gouge. Save your money and your time and shop elsewhere.

At my previous appointment I spoke with Dr. Lamba about clear aligners and the pricing. I call back within a few months and asked if pricing was the same and was told it would be honored. I took off work to come in to start the process and they tell me they cannot honor that pricing and had me sit around for almost an hour to talk to them about it which made no difference in their actions whatsoever.

This place is very unprofessional, hardly returns phone calls and was overcrowded at my previous appointment not following covid distancing guidelines. I do not advise coming here.

Absolutely clueless. Don't let Yusuf anywhere near your mouth. She broke an instrument in my tooth by being overly aggressive and yapping to her coworker about her Costco trip from the day before. After that they told me they didn't have caps on-site and I'd have to come back a month later. Then they shut down for several weeks due to the virus and my tooth has broken and fractured even worse than when I originally went in for treatment.

The filling material Yusuf used has slowly dwindled to nothing and the tooth has cracked even more. They do not take your well-being seriously and obviously are only after your money. just to get the treatment for one fractured tooth half-done they have already maxed out my insurance for the year. I went here for emergency service but there was absolutely no sense of urgency.

Nothing keeps a customers loyalty quite like asking them to sign up for a $9,000 treatment plan when they're reeling in pain on their first trip to your practice. This is absolutely the last place you should ever get dental/endo work.

I only gave them one star because they system wouldn't let me leave zero stars. These people would have to improve to be considered terrible. I spent over an hour on the phone with a call center based in India, and then had about 8 follow up calls with various people to verify our insurance. Clearly the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing.

At the end of the day, my husband still didn't get his scheduled cleaning when he got to his appointment because they were so disorganized.yet they wanted to take his insurance information without a privacy agreement in place so they could bill us anyway. I have no idea how these people even dress themselves in the morning, let alone stay in business. What a joke.

Horrible place and customer service. I called to make an emergency appointment, the lady said that I could just walk in between 8 am- 5 pm. I printed and filled all the new patient paperwork, left work earlier and rushed to their location, spending 30 min on traffic. I arrived at the Duluth location at 4:34- nobody at the front desk, 10 min later walks in ( from the outside) the front desk lady saying that they are closed and there is nobody that can see me, only a surgeon was there that day.

I explained to her what happened and asked if she could see if he could help me since I was in pain. She said he had left ( without even checking). She clearly couldn't care less. Not that it is important but she had leftover food all over the table. I am very disappointed and although still in pain, I would rather take my own tooth out than go back to this place.

I've been coming here now for over two years. They always go above and beyond. From my cleanings to regluing veneers (oops) their team and staff is amazing! Dr Chang and Mario helped today with refilling fillings and regluing veneer. I felt like I was hanging out with friends (who happened to be working on my teeth). Highly recommend!

The hygienist did an excellent job cleaning my teeth. And the dentist was professional and experienced. He did outstanding work. My issue is with the billing. This office adds optional charges instead of asking patients directly, they automatically add things to your bill. I've been going here long enough to ask the right questions. (Over five years)My concern is for the unsuspecting patients. But over all they do great work. If it weren't for the billing I'd give them 5 stars

I have been coming here since May 2019, because of distance and that my insurance is accepted. But this is by far the worst dentist place I have every been to. Poor communication and every time I come I am waiting 30-45 min past my set appointment time. There is truly nothing good I can say about this place and I have given it more than a few chances. I'm moving farther away and can't wait to switch dentists. Same issue with Ortho

If I could leave negative stars I would, I came to this dentist in Lilburn Ga because the last dentist tried repeatedly to upsell the deep cleaning and root canal services, I was very clear about only services that were covered by my insurance, they talked me into paying the $20 something dollars extra for the orbit xray, then proceeded to do 16 bite wing xrays for my daughter and I, they called it an FMX.

A couple of weeks later I get a bill from the dentist saying that the deductable was not meet on the regular twice a year cleaning, I call my insurance company and of course it wasnt a deductable that wasnt met it was that the FMX wasnt covered at all. I have been leaving messages with corporate in tampa at the 813-288-1999 for a week now and no response, I even tried the 855-455-6601 that is sent as a response on some of the bad reviews and that number doesnt even work

I already called your office and left voice mail next day that was almost 2 months ago. Unless you refund my money, nothing is need to be done. Now, they sent me a bill of $143 because they claim my insurance doesnt cover whatever service they performed. When I called to discuss, person answered the phone literally hanged up on me. What an office! People dont even try to go to this place unless you want to be ripped off and still get nothing in return other than surprised bills for lousy service.

Finding a new dentist in tough so having people at the front desk that don't understand how to greet and schedule patients makes you wonder if your in the right place. Dr. Chang and Jamie( Hygienist) were professional. They don't seem to follow up with new patients and if you wait for a call back, it's days. Keep looking.

I wish I could give them no star. There is no coordination between the office (front desk) and the doctors and their assistance. I was told everything is covered by my insurance and when I come to the office they try to over charge me with extra test. Definitely don't recommend this place at all.

I had made an appointment with Coast Dental before I read other reviews, which caused me to be nervous about my appointment and what treatment I would receive. For the most part what others wrote in their review want far off. They do up-sell you. I hadn't had a good cleaning in a while so I went ahead and had some things that my insurance didn't cover as I thought it was worth it. I'm not sure I needed the $28 mouthwash to help my gums; especially since I walked out with it and just went back for it 2 weeks later!

The biggest issue I had with this place is the way they go about ex-rays. Not only the up-sell in that area to make sure you don't have mouth cancer but the over all method of taking the exam. It was painful and I was about to throw up with the sheath of plastic they kept shoving in my mouth. I'm not so sure I will return. Anyone have a dentist recommendation?

The process to book, people and service was wonderful! The only reason I am giving less than 5 is because the facilities need some updating! Even a new coat of paint would help! I did not experience the rudeness or wait that others did. Perhaps they have gotten new staff since?

I have never experienced a dentist like this one. I have had work done on my teeth multiple times in my life and this is the only time I regretted going to the dentist. They gave me X-rays that said I had two big cavities although I was in no pain or discomfort. I decided to go along with the procedure for fillings. They finished the job and my mouth has been in pain for 2.5 months since the day of the procedure.

I even went back 4 times for them to try to fix the issue and even after working on me each time they couldn't resolve the pain. I still till this day can't chew on my right side and has pain in my left side occasionally. They now are saying that I should get another cleaning to see if that would help and they will charge me for that. How will a cleaning fix this kind of issue?! Idk but this has been a terrible experience.

The front office manager needs to show respects for patients and their time, and learn to apologize! Waited more than 35 minutes for my appointment and was told to reschedule or wait "another 20 minutes". The front office manager has the worst attitude and did not say a word to apologize. Patients deserve to be treated with respects. Will definitely not come back to this office again.

Very nice office and location, but the wait time was a bit overwhelming so if you are a first time client expect to be seen last. There was a temp at the front desk when I went that day, due to my constant pain, who was not completely familiar with the services in that office because she explained to me the Doctor would perform any procedure needed that day, which was not the case. I left with a bill and no help after 3 hours of being there. I most likely will not be back Advice: Do your research before going here.
