Welcome to The Center for Pediatric Dental Care and Orthodontics, where we create a legacy of positive dental experiences for each child we see. Each child will walk out of the office taller than when they arrived. We go above and beyond in providing dental care for children and teens; we form long lasting relationships that promote oral health and the well-being of each patient.

Barton, Krausz, Clancy & Taylor have over 50 years of combined experience. In addition, they have strong academic and clinical backgrounds to provide the finest dental care for children of all ages.
Services
We are a caring pediatric dental and orthodontic practice with a specialty in making kids and their parents comfortable in the dental office. Our five pediatric dentists are exceptional in caring for toddlers from age one to three. Our six dental hygienists are by far the best in the field in caring for children of all ages.
The Center for Pediatric Dental Care and Orthodontics is a 42 North Dental Care, PLLC practice and is owned and operated by dentists Samuel Shames, DMD and Ronald Weissman, DMD. The Center for Pediatric Dental Care and Orthodontics is supported by 42 North Dental, LLC, a dental support organization that provides non-clinical administrative and business support services to the practice.
In general, seeing a pediatric dentist when your child is 12-24 months old is a good rule to follow. The dentist will introduce your child to the dental instruments in a playful way, do a clinical examination to detect decay and evaluate proper dental and facial development, and give guidance regarding oral habits, oral hygiene, and stages of dental development.
For more information concerning pediatric dentistry, please visit the website for the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. The pediatric dentist has an extra two to three years of specialized training after dental school, and is dedicated to the oral health of children from infancy through the teenage years.

Have been going here since my kids were little. Extremely well-run, efficient and friendly office, in a very comfortable setting for both young kids and adolescents.

This place has no respect for patients and family. The dentist did the filling half way and when we change practice the new dentist pointed out the dark area below the supposed done-filling three months ago. The front desk staff are rude almost like racist. After reading the review regarding charging no show fee, I called three times to get in touch with the staff to cancel the appointments. They are in staff meeting from 1-3 pm. They recently got negative reviews on COVID protocol from physician mom's group. They did not mandate their staff to get vaccinated!?

Today, my daughter had the first visit to her dentist. She was nervous before we arrived. However, the doctors there made her relaxed and excited by giving her a sticker, and showing her the equipments before putting them into her mouth. The checking was gentle and fun. At the end, she had a chance to pick the toy she wanted. The visiting was really enjoyable.

I have been taking my three children here for five years (for both regular dentistry and orthodontics) and am always impressed by the kindness of the staff! Everyone is always so warm and accommodating and they always put my kids at ease. They truly understand their patients and parents.

I did not know going to a dentist with 2 toddlers can actually be a pleasant experience! It was our first time and I was so worried that my kids would freak out and it was going to be a stressful experience, so much that I bought back up for myself. It honestly felt like a little kid spa! The staff is uniformly PHENOMENAL, we had Lisa and Choa, both of whom were incredible. Dr. Barton was AMAZING.

I can't rave enough about our first dentist experience with kids! My kids were so comfortable and even laughed a little and were so excited about their stickers and toys. I cannot recommend them enough!

Everyone at this practice seem to love their job. Dr. Krausz is AMAZING with kids; our 20 m.o daughter had her first appointment today and didn't want to leave. She wants me to make her fingers dance at home like the doctor did : their service and knowledge is worth the trip to Brookline

My almost 3 year old just had his first dentist appointment ever with Dr. Barton! I was a little nervous about the visit because he generally does not do well at the doctor's office. Everything about the appointment went flawlessly! From the friendly staff, to the exceptional bedside manner of the dentist, my son had a great time getting his teeth cleaned and even flossed! Yes, a 2 year old let a dentist floss his teeth without shedding a single tear. All smiles and laughs! Thank you so much for the great experience! We look forward to our next cleaning.

I took my 15mo son to his first dentist visit today and what an amazing experience he had! The office is fantastic, with video games, toys, books and lots to keep busy in the waiting room. The staff are all so sweet and cheery. The dentist was amazing with my young son, showing him before hand everything he would do inside his mouth and talking him through every step. Can't recommend this office highly enough!

Our experience here was AMAZING, and exceeded our expectations in several dimensions! Dr. Clancy and his staff did a fantastic job with our very nervous young kids (first visit). Other good things to know: 1. Staff -- the staff was exceptional. From the lady who helped schedule the appt, to the receptionist to the hygienists and dentist. Everyone was very kid friendly, and seemed genuinely happy to be doing their job. 2.

The dentist -- we saw Dr. Clancy. He was exceptional. We did a phenomenal job working with our kids to make their feel comfortable from the start. He was gentle and seemed knowledgable. He was honest and we did not at all felt like he was trying to prescribe cavities that may or may not exist to get more return appts/$$ (like some dentists do) 3. Extras -- The kids were given new toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, each a teddy bear (not sure this happens every time) and got to pick a toy out of the "treasure chest" when they were done.

They even took pictures of they kids during the appt and texted them to us afterwards. 4. Office -- the office itself is VERY kid friendly. The entire office is optimized for young kids - from toys to bright colors to video games to stickers. The office feels clean and fairly new. 5. Parking -- Parking is tough here. I recommend getting here a few minutes early just in case.

Very few open spots and a little bit of a hassle. It costs $6/hr (w/ validation) to park in the (small) lot behind the building (if there are spots). Street parking is available but limited and often full.

Dr Barton was super nice and patient and wonderful with kids! He really made this visit a pleasant and fun experience for my 2-year-old. He took the time to let him touch and feel everything multiple times and get comfortable. The whole visit was also a great example we can follow at home to make daily toothbrushing easier. Our family have been through 3~4 different pediatric dentistry offices prior to this (relocation etc.), and this one is the best we've seen, and completely exceeded our expectations!
