I visited Dr. Schwartz on the referral of another dentist who thought I might need some orthodontics to make space for some restorative work. He took a significant amount of time to review my X-rays, mouth photos and did a thorough exam of the areas involved. He showed me some very helpful animated videos of various procedures. All to determine that I really didn't need his services.
I came in fearing long-term and expensive treatment and left with a bill for $0 and a promise to call the referring dentist and explain that orthodontics were likely not necessary. God forbid I ever actually need orthodontics, but if I do, I'll be seeing Dr. Schwartz.

Dr. Schwartz and his team are highly experienced, opinionated and very professional. Not looking for a shortcut or a quick result, they insisted on a more intricate route and delivered an outstanding work. First, they are real pros and second, just a pleasure to work with - always responsive and caring. Very happy with the result! Highly recommend them!

The office professionals were all knowledgeable, welcoming, and personable. The environment was absolutely beautiful. Best of all, Dr. Schwartz is very thorough in his initial exams which I feel is everything! As an added plus, given there is definitely an "art" to teeth. I appreciated Dr. Schwartz for having such lovely, and fun art around the office. Very nice touch.

Today was my first appointment with Dr. Schwartz' office. Each and every person in that office treats you with respect, kindness, and earnest care one would expect from a orthodontist office of yore. I was completely taken aback with how knowledgeable everyone was, especially Dr. Schwartz. He took his time, answered every question I had, and created a detailed and personalized plan for orthodontic wellness for me.
I would unabashedly recommend him to everyone in the DMV seeking orthodontic care for themselves or their loved ones. He has certainly earned my family's trust, and business for the foreseeable future.

Dr Schwartz is personally a great guy, highly skilled, professional, detail-oriented, thorough and his staff are extremely courteous and friendly. The surgery is very conveniently located in DC and he also has another surgery in Rockville, which means he is able to serve a wider geographical area, half a week in the district and half a week in Maryland.
I did Invisalign with Dr Schwartz and had a very good experience and outcome. From what I could tell, his prices are generally in line with the market rate. He does run a pretty tight ship and naturally will outsource the tasks he can to his team, which allows him to see more patients. I never had any problems getting a convenient appointment or moving one when needs be. I would recommend and have recommended Dr Schwartz to any friends looking for an orthodonist.

I am looking forward to have Dr. Schwartz and his office handling my orthodontic care. His staff was very friendly and helpful from the moment I made my first appointment. Dr. Schwartz is personable, takes the time to make sure you understand the care he is going to give, and gives recommendations to other offices for procedures he does not handle. Overall, my experience has been great so far.

Poor service does not justify the price. Overall I am satisfied with the level of work Dr. Schwarz provided. My teeth have not had any issues since my braces came off a few years ago. I paid $6-$7k for my braces. That being said the service was POOR and Dr. Schwarz was totally aloof. 1)They refused to give me enough wax to protect my gums on multiple occasions and the inside of my mouth (which was terribly painful) and refused to send me any when I was out of town.
Good thing my parents dentist, who gave me about 10 times as much wax as Dr. Schwarz had ever given me, gave it to me FOR FREE. 2)Their front desk people were horrible - never made my life any easier - just not that intelligent or able to read and help people. They have two business entities one in Rockville and one in DC at the time they could not coordinate with each other, and it left the burden on me on top of them being unable to provide the level of service they charged for. 3)Dr. Schwarz is also totally socially aloof. Talking about the $200 gift certificate one of his vendors gave him to a fancy DC steak house, in front of his staff was pretty rude.
A good orthodontist would have given that to one of his staff for their good service, which most of his staff provided except for the front desk. Looks like Dr. Schwarz is doing okay though - judging by his well appointed office with a window view of K st and by the marble floors with Capital Orthodontics embedded in the middle. Think the premium price covers the cost of the marble, but not for taking care of his staff or patients.

I came to Dr. Schwartz the first time because I was grinding my teeth and had noticed a small gap between my two front teeth. He made me a retainer to close my front gap and a nightguard after to stop the grinding. Both of which were very successful! Dr. Schwartz is very knowledgeable and patient! He is friendly, calm and funny! I felt that he was realistic on time frames and didn't try to sell me on things I didn't need.
Instead he really educated me on best steps and showed lots of examples on different treatment plans and how they could help with my bite issue. His staff is beyond friendly, willing to help with all insurance forms and claims (no matter how many mistakes you make with them!) and tries really hard to get you appointments when you need them. Molly in particular was so helpful with my insurance claims!
This practice has two locations, both of which are easy to get to and have ample parking! I am so happy I found this practice that I have switched here for all dental work as well! (Yes here is a dentistry side as well!) Thank you to capital orthodontics for always taking care of me; my family and I will be forever patients of yours!
