Our facility has been carefully planned to serve the complete dental needs of children and adults.
Our friendly team will welcome you and assist you with your questions about your oral health and caring for your smile. We are located at 3432 Mercer University Drive near the Macon Mall, across the street from Checkers. At Dental Care Center of Macon, we work with most dental insurance plans and accept major credit cards.
Dental insurance is a helpful benefit that helps offset the cost of dental care. We participate with many dental insurance companies and will file your claims electronically, as well as submit copies of x-rays and photographs to maximize your insurance coverage. To serve you better, please let us know you have insurance when you make your appointment.
More than just a cleaning, your preventive care visit with the dental hygienist and dentist is also important to protect your oral health. We recommend that our patients visit our dental office every 3-6 months for examinations, cleanings and periodontal (gum health) maintenance. During these visits, your dentist will also review necessary digital x-rays to look for any areas of concern.

Well I had a 9:30 am appointment checked in ten minutes early filled our all the paperwork and sat! Over and hour with no idea when I would be called back. Because it was an extraction I had to have a driver. Who could not leave. When I asked how much longer? They said no idea. I asked 10, 20, 30 minutes? We don't know. Okay how long in the back 45 minutes to and hour.

So approximately 3 hours my wife had to miss work. Guess our time is not worth as much as theirs! If the didn't over book this would not have happened. I would not recommend going here unless you have all day to wait!

They used to be great when Dr. Petterson was there and Susan up front. This time they made me wait for almost a month with two abscessed teeth. Finally when I got the appointment they were not prepare to pull them and wanted me to come back the next morning with $700. Would not take my prepay, the reason I used them. Then I found Aspen dental, They took care of me, did a great job and because of my insurance and prepay it only cost $65 Bye Felicia, hello Aspen Dental.

I went here years ago and let me say my rating has no reflection on Dr. Mixon and Patty. They were a great combination during my visit. But whomever the account manager/scheduler was at the time was super rude and had no customer service skills. And I do remember the error was on her part. She was entering information in as she THOUGHT it should be and not as I had sent it over. She was terrible to the point I said cancel my next appointment. I was done!

Dr. Mixon is phenomenal! He takes his time and makes sure I don't have any concerns or problems before getting out his chair! If your looking for great professional service I strongly recommend him! Or any or the doctors for that matter! And when he is with another patient and I'm waiting Ms. Evett and Ms. Linda are equally awesome! Clean environment! and Professional!

They go above and beyond to work you in especially if you're in pain. I had an issue with my insurance ending and they made sure I got my procedure done before it ended. They are so professional and kind.

Great, techs, dentist & staff.and to be honest is anyone looking forward to any dental appointment. LOL. In all seriousness, been coming here first years now & my 1st return routine visit from the whole 2020 COVID shutdown. And still a great place for dental care as the name implies. :

Did your dentist refer them to you, or did you find them as an in network care provider? Regardless, consider your options. My biggest point of contention is with their post operative care. I took my fiance to her wisdom tooth extraction through a different provider and can attest to the level of professionalism and detailed service. After the surgery was finished we were placed in a room where a nurse gave us detailed information about what needed to be done in the following days.

We even scheduled a follow up appointment. It was an amazing experience. In comparison, this office brings you in and rushes you to the table. The surgeon barely speaks to you (Dr. Khan), gives you no reassurances and once you're done, you're done. They handed me packet of papers and wheeled me out. No ice pack, no discussion, or advisement. Look, I'm competent and I can figure out what I should do, and the precautions I can take.

This is the age of the internet after all, but if you're going to a provider then these services should be provided. I made a mistake in coming to this office for my dental work, and I hope by reading this you won't do the same. Look around!

I really have mixed feelings about this review but feel it may help someone else. In the past I have received excellent service, high priced but excellent. I have no insurance so I pay cash. Just recently I went with a sore gum and tooth in the upper left back. I was x-rayed and told that it was the tooth in front of the one hurting that was the problem, to which I told them I was skeptical of that.

They proceeded to tell me I'd need to have the one not hurting extracted because it had a big cavity inside it and then a bridge put in. All total would cost me $5,650. That trip for this diagnosis and x-rays cost me $220. I decided to get a second opinion. A simple x-ray revealed a crack in the tooth that was hurting. I asked about the big cavity in the tooth in front of it to which he replied that was a filling not a cavity.

Less than a week before I could decide what to about it the entire tooth broke off where it was cracked. I am having the rear tooth pulled today at 1 am. Will not need a bridge after all. Cost me $186 extra (2 trips) just to refute the first diagnosis and find out just what was wrong and what to do about it. I'm really sorry to say this but that first dentist was wrong.

Don't mean to hurt anyone here just saying they need to be correct in their diagnosis and if you think something sounds off and you have doubts then you need to get a second opinion.

My experience at this place was terrible. The young lady that was at the front desk was not very nice and she rushed me a bit. Then there was in issue with the insurance that I had which after the fact, was not an issue but it was just her lack of cooperation that really led me to just give my incomplete paperwork back and just walk out. It's such a shame how a business like this shows a lack of care toward patrons during this difficult pandemic.

I felt like I was not welcomed their. It really hurt me so be careful if you decide to go. I previously had some work done on my teeth here and I must say that the service was okay but was not balanced out because of the lack of good customer care and service. The Dentist was also kind of meh. If you want to great customer service, care, and a friendly environment, go to Advanced Dental Arts in Macon! They have been truly amazing
