Many of our patients have dental insurance or are receiving dental benefits for the first time. It is important to remember that your dental insurance policy is an agreement between you and your insurance company. We are only a third party to that agreement. As a courtesy, our office will assist you in preparing and submitting claims to insurance, however we do ask for your estimated co-payment at the time of service.
Dr. Baxter graduated from Baraboo High School in 1979. He decided to follow in his father's footsteps to become a dentist. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Northwestern University Dental School in 1988. This is particularly notable because he is a third generation Northwestern Dental School graduate in the family.

He is awful! Price gouges, waaaaayyyyy over priced, don't know how he keeps patients. I have never in my life had a dentist charge so much for a filling or tooth pulled and doesn't give you the price up front. Would not recommend this dentist to anybody. The staff is not very friendly either. Don't go there, find another dentist that is honest.

I am so pleased with the new dentures that I have from Baxter Dental. They fit perfectly and I have not even had a sore spot from the beginning. I also have been so pleased and impressed with the friendliness and professionalism of all the staff (and Dr. Baxter) at Baxter Dental. I cannot say enough. What a wonderful experience! Thank you!

Baxter Dental saved my vacation! Shortly after arriving in the Dells with my family, I got a terrible tooth ache. I called several offices in the area but nobody could work me in as a new patient. Baxter Dental offered to help! They put me on their already busy schedule, worked me right in and quickly identified the problem. They fixed my tooth and managed my pain.
They were so sympathetic, kind and very knowledgeable. They got me in and out in less than an hour and charged me a very fair amount! I would highly recommend this practice to anyone! They saved my vacation!
