Dr. Angie Sage was born in Honduras and immigrated to the United States with her family as a child. She was raised in New Orleans, Louisiana where she dreamed of having a career working with children. How did she know she wanted to be a dentist? Hurricane Katrina gave her an opportunity to be a dental assistant at a local pediatric dental practice in the Baton Rouge area.
Dr. Renee Mikulec is a board-certified pediatric dentist and a proud Texan! She was born in San Antonio, TX and grew up in the Dallas area. Dr. Mikulec has always had a passion to work with children and little friends with special needs, as well as a strong calling to work in the healthcare field. She truly working in pediatrics because children always offer a fresh and different perspective to life.
All of us are in this field because we love kids. We understand that going to the dentist can seem a little scary to a child, and we do our best to put our patients at ease. Many of them now like visiting us so much they're disappointed when the visit is over! Tiff's world consists of her 16 year old twin boys and two dachshunds, Penny and Grace, who are spoiled rotten. She finds so many joys about working at AHPD. She gets to lead her amazing tribe and she has a boss who empowers and supports the staff.

We were in search of a new dental home for our 2 year old and are so glad we found AHPD! Dr. Renee and her staff are so welcoming and supportive. They made us feel like we were the only patients there. The practice is in a lovely office with plenty of space for children to play, see the fish, or watch a favorite cartoon. The education they provide on how to promote dental health at home was very helpful and realistic. I would definitely recommend AHPD!

We just moved to San Antonio last year and didn't have a great experience with the first pediatric dentist we tried. I'm so glad that I didn't settle and that we went with a recommendation for Alamo Heights Pediatric dental. Everyone we encountered from the front desk, to the dental assistants, to Jordan who explained our dental benefits, was so kind, gentle, skillful, and patient.
I loved the family friendly environment, and Dr Walker set my mind at ease right away. I was grateful for her mentioning that she didn't want to do as many aggressive treatments as the other dentist was suggesting. We left the office feeling relieved that we had found our new dentist. We are very grateful for the wonderful appointment!

The office is filled with aquarium themed, colorful decor that's fun for kids of all ages. The staff and assistants are sweet and kid friendly. There are kid movies playing, visible from every chair. Dr. Renee is amazing, the best pediatric dentist out there. We tried multiple dentists before choosing Dr. Renee, to do our daughter's extensive dental work.
She totally gets on the child's level, making them feel comfortable and safe, and they have fun. My daughter started her dental work at 3 years old and actually looked forward to going. The kid-focused environment, staff, and the exceptional work of Dr. Renee makes an amazing experience for a child going to the dentist. A++

Dr. Renee is the absolute best of the best. Do not hesitate or think twice about scheduling your appointment with her. She cares for your kiddos as if they were her own! My experience today at Alamo Heights Pediatric Dentistry was outstanding! The whole Alamo Heights Pediatric team was very amazing! We were greeted as soon as we walked in by all the ladies at the front desk. My daughters appointment was with Dr. Sage, who was extremely nice! As a anxious first time mom, Dr. Sage helped educate me and took the time to answer all of my questions.
The professionalism of each employee is incredible. I really appreciated how welcomed we felt. The office is very clean and I really appreciated all of the safety precautions taken. All and all this office is great!

Dr. Renee and team are awesome. My daughter(7) didn't want to continue with her visit after the initial cleaning. She was being very stubborn. Dr. Renee was able to quickly build rapport and gain her trust and interest, within two minutes, and had my daughter laying back in the chair to finish her visit. A master of her craft.

Upon entry one can immediately tell time and care for details was made upon establishing this pediatric dental office. There is plentiful seating for adults waiting as well as nooks for the little ones. The atmosphere is bright, open, inviting, but not overwhelming to the senses. The staff is knowledgeable, professional and kid friendly. The dentists are equally of high standard and well trained in explaining and reassuring.

Their staff is very attentive to the children. They don't push toddlers more than they can handle in one visit. Dr. Sage explains everything in the simplest form and only recommends what's actually needed and will tell you if it needs to be done now or it can wait. Some dentists will rush you into decisions and are just grabbing money, not here. The care of the child comes first. My children feel extremely comfortable here and that means a lot.

I am beyond grateful with Dr. Sage and her staff/assistants, my daughter gets really anxious at the dentist so the procedures she needed to get done never happened before because she never let her previous dentists do the work. But now even when she got extremely nervous and hesitant about it (she was a pain) Dr. Sage and her assistants managed to make her feel comfortable and got everything done!
They were super patient and gentle with her. I am super happy and I can't tell you enough about how great this place is, absolutely everyone there made sure that we were getting the best experience so look no further! This is the place you need .

As always had a wonderful experience with my 14 year old son today at Alamo Heights Pediatric Dentistry. From the moment we were greeted at the front desk to the time that Dr. Sage came out to share with me about the visit. We've been going to Alamo Heights Pediatric Dentistry for several years. The kindness of the staff and Dr. Sage engagement with her patients is particularly noteworthy. I highly recommend Dr. Angie Sage.

I love AHPD! Dr. Sage and the team are amazing! My 6 yo daughter has been a patient since she was a baby and now my 19 month old is also a patient! They're always warm and helpful and available even after hours for emergencies! They're also bilingual! And we never have to wait long! This past week my 19 month old and were running a little late due to a last minute cardiology appointment and the office was very understanding! I definitely recommend!

Have been taking my daughters here for the over past twelve years, they are 12 and 21 years old now! The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and they are over all awesome! They have taken all the necessary steps to insure our safety and theirs during the pandemic. 10/10 Highly Recommend Love the staff!
