Born and raised in Tampa, Dr. Abdoney is proud to serve the city in which he grew up, and the surrounding Tampa Bay area. As an orthodontist, Dr. Abdoney is extremely professional and caring.
It's not going to be easy at first, and in the beginning, foods you can eat will be limited. You'll want to stick to foods that are soft, fluffy and easily mashed up. Pancakes, oatmeal, bananas, soups, cooked vegetables, applesauce, mashed potatoes, mac & cheese, and soft ice cream - just to suggest a few.
There are orthodontic advantages to treating certain cases in two separate stages. The goal of the Phase I treatment is to develop well-oriented jaws, healthy bones and gums, and adequate room for permanent teeth. Children sometimes exhibit early signs of jaw problems as they grow and develop. For example, an upper or lower jaw that is growing too much or not enough can benefit from early orthodontic treatment.

All 3 of our teens have been patients of Dr Abdoney. His attention to detail and accuracy with braces was a great experience each time. We never felt rushed during our visits because Dr Abdoney genuinely demonstrated his care by the amount of time he shared with child and parent. We highly recommend Dr Abdoney.

Love this place! My son just got his braces removed. Every appointment has been quick and easy. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They make checking in and out and scheduling appointments a breeze. I also love that I don't have to remember to ask for an appointment note for school - it's automatically provided. I highly recommend!

They are excellent! The doctors, assistants, the dental assistants all of them are so kind. They give good service, have great bed manners even when is 7:40 am. They always have a smile and are ready to help. I would recommend them in a heart beat, that's how good they are. You want a good service and a perfect smile then this is where you have to visit.

Seems like anyone can become an orthodontist, scary. Communication is severely lacking at this office. Dr. Hanna decided to place eight spacers after stating 2 would be placed. Scary how doctors at this office don't communicate procedures to their patients until after the procedure has been finished. Please, if you have an appointment with Dr. Hanna or plan to book one, look elsewhere. Maybe to an office that treats patients like human beings who want to know what is going to happen to their bodies.

Dr. Abdoney's office was amazing! Both of my boys had an appointment today. Everyone was very friendly & the office was a very relaxing atmosphere! The appointment went very well and their prices are affordable! As an added bonus, they have things for you to drink in the waiting room and after the visit, my boys got to pick out a T-shirt and they also have a rewards program to earn gift cards. I highly recommend them!

This office was highly recommended to us by several neighbors and friends and I'm so glad we chose to go with them. My daughter wasn't too thrilled about getting braces but the super friendly staff went above and beyond to comfort her and show us our options. Luckily enough we were squeezed in and she got braces in on the same consult day! Thank you again for making us feel right at home for the next 16 months!

My son has been going here since August. I chose do to closeness to his dentist office. Which worked out as they take wire off to clean teeth. I am glad, I chose this practice. Everyone in the office is really nice and very professional. My son got braces on the same day as initial consult. As there was discount offered if get service same day as well as discount if pay in full vice the course if treatment. So, I would recommend.

First I must say that Dr. Abdoney and his assistants are wonderful. They are kind, caring, and explained each step of the process in a way our daughter felt comfortable and could understand. Unfortunately, our experience as the financial liable party was not so great. We were provided a treatment plan that stated our insurance would pay $1,995.00.
Two months into the treatment we received a letter that stated while they anticipated our insurance paying $1,995.00, our insurance only paid $1,050.00 and we owed the unpaid $945.00. When we called to inquire how their initial estimate could be nearly 50% inaccurate their Insurance Coordinator responded by quoting our policy. We are upset that they would "estimate" what our insurance would cover without actually verifying with our policy (which did not change).
We feel that the Insurance Coordinator failed to do her due diligence. If you intend to use insurance at Abdoney we caution you to verify the insurance information you are provided so that you do not end up in our situation.

What a fantastic Orthodontic practice! The entire staff is friendly, fun, and professional! Both of my daughters are patients here and every experience has been a good one. I was especially impressed when on a holiday, Dr. McEntire came in without hesitation to take a look at my daughter to address her discomfort. He was cheerful and genuinely concerned about her.
Both doctors are clearly passionate about their work and go above and beyond to make sure every experience in their office is a good one. Dr. McEntire called to follow up with me and even took it on himself to contact our pediatric dentist to compare notes and set up a plan of action to address my daughters dental problem.
